Im a very protective and research person when making a decision. Olympia Kennels was a word of mouth one and got a lot of positive feedback. I knew immediately when I met Mike and his team it was the place. However I didn't know on day one how amazing this journey would be. To some have multiple pups at the same time most trainers are judgemental and not supportive of this hard journey my family has taken on and we are very capable of. Mike has stood by his word and taken care and taught my family and my pups who are 1.5 years old. They stayed with Mike for 6 weeks at 8months old and taught them a great foundation. He even stood by his word and when we had a minor behavior issue with one of my boys he took him right back and worked with him asap and made immediate room for our need. We will be continuing with Olympia and both our family and dogs learning how to best train and grow together.

Prior to finding Superdogs we had tried three other dog care facilities and each were sub par. We then tried at home pet care but this left our dog alone most of the day. Out of necessity we decided to give Superdogs a go and it turned out to be a great decision. In the previous daycares our dog would put the breaks on and it would take two people to drag him in. With Superdogs he couldn't get through the door fast enough! He suffered from hip dysplasia and the staff were always very attentive to this issue, and made sure he didn't overexert himself. Without me even asking they had a corner set up with additional foam floor cushioning to support his heavy bones. Over the years they have continually gone the extra mile. When I was pregnant they helped me get my dog out of my car whenever they spotted me pull up, if I forgot dogs treats or food they would have it covered or if they noticed my dogs nails were a tad bit too long they would trim them without a thought. Judy the owner e-mailed me a month or so ago asking how Walter was doing as she hadn't seen him in while. We hadn't brought him to Superdogs as he was having issues standing due to advanced age. Judy offered some great advice and It showed me that it is not just a business to them. They just love what they do and care about their clients. Thank you Niamh Campbell

At her previous daycare, everyone loved her and always commented on what a sweet dog she was. Her veterinarian's office has always spoken highly of her as well. We only made the switch because the location was more convenient. Looking back, we should have trusted our instincts. As soon as we arrived, she didn't want to go inside. I actually had to carry her through the door, which is completely out of character for her. When we picked her up, instead of speaking with us privately, a staff member criticized our dog at length in front of other customers. We were told she had to be continually reprimanded, kept on a leash, and eventually spent most of the day alone in a crate. This was shocking to hear, especially since we have never received feedback like this from her previous daycare or her veterinary team. When I tried to explain that this had never happened before and that everyone who has cared for her has always described her as a sweet dog, I was interrupted with, "Will you let me finish?" before the criticism continued. The entire conversation felt condescending and took place in front of other customers, which was embarrassing and unnecessary. Whether or not our dog was a good fit for this daycare, the way we were treated was unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy and compassion. We were also disappointed to be told that, after being kept on a leash, she ultimately spent most of the day alone in a crate. That was certainly not what we expected when we paid for a full day of daycare. We understand that difficult conversations sometimes need to happen, but they should be handled respectfully and privately. I hope they reconsider how they communicate with pet owners in the future because no one should leave feeling embarrassed the way we did.

Our 2 french bulldogs love hanging out country club kennels with Steve and his staff. They are able to board together, in the same run. For updated reviews, please check out their Facebook page - you'll see many (positive!) reviews there. - Folks, this is a non-profit 501()(3) organization. That means it's entirely volunteer-driven. I've worked with a similar organization in Texas. Let me tell you, you have no idea how hard it is to run something like this. The challenges you deal with managing dogs, and the people fostering and caring for the dogs, and the logistics involved with transporting dogs, is extremely difficult. These people aren't doing this to make money. They're doing it because they are passionate about saving dogs' lives. And they do - they absolutely do. I've been involved with some of the dogs this place receives; they are great dogs - and all of them would have absolutely been put down had this place not been generous enough to accept them. I know sitting there reading stuff online about dog shelters and dog fostering sounds inviting - everyone thinks it's easy and that they could do it better - let me tell you, you have no idea! Rewarding, yes, but definitely not easy. - If you're reading this, and you live near them, please reach out to them and volunteer. Get involved and help out awesome places like this. They really need it - you can make a huge difference in doing anything you can to help out.

My dog has been on the schedule for Tuesdays and Fridays now for YEARS and loved going here. Staff have always been pleasant and friendly up until today. We brought our dog in and the woman told us that he cant come in as he is not on the schedule. We told her that he has always been on the schedule for Tuesdays and Fridays but she was yelling and aurguing and then told us to get out and she will refund our monthly membership. Which she did within minutes. WTF! Not sure what happened here as it is all so random and bizarre. We will finding a new local daycare for our pup.
