At this point, I'm pretty sure they know the route better than I do! The staff is absolutely incredible. They know Dusty and Maverick so well and treat them like family. And judging by how exhausted and happy they are when they come home, I'm pretty sure they spend the entire day partying while I'm working! What makes BARK CITY so special is everything they offer: Multiple photos throughout the day -- I get to watch my boys play, lounge, socialize, and apparently have a much more exciting social life than I do. Daily report cards -- I love getting the scoop on what they did all day. Honestly, I sometimes know more about their day than I know about mine! Live webcams -- Because apparently I need to check in on them while they're having fun without me. And yes... I do. More than once. Grooming services -- They come home clean, fresh, and looking handsome enough to make me wonder if they even belong to me! The shop -- Toys, treats, and everything a spoiled pup could possibly want. And somehow, Dusty and Maverick always seem to think they need something new. BARK CITY is so much more than daycare--it's their happy place. The price was 6.00 dollars MORE than I paid on Amazon! I looked for the next item on my list, cat food-again, knew the brand, bag size and everything. I expected it to be around 35.00 but instead it was 54.00...needless to say no purchase made. The ladies there didn't like the fact my wife commented to them the exact same items at substantially lower prices. You can get most everything in this store much cheaper down the road. And about their cat...it was laying on the counter. I asked if it was a boy or a girl, not knowing, just making conversation... "Well, Augustus is his name so it should be a given..." ...This is what I was told. Well, I've known people who have named their cat Stevie and it was a female , I replied. Maybe they were all just having a bad day, but overall, our experience here was poor. We're all about supporting local, but not when two adult women acted the way they did.

She felt terrible that she couldn't think of another person and then she graciously told me she would do it. Cathy saved the day and our little cat Tink now has a new friend for life. Prior to cat sitting I went and met Cathy at her store. Her store blew me away. The minute you walk in Cat's Kingdom you can feel the love. You can also see some cats :). There was Moo, Augustus and a sweet little Clementine. (Clementine is only there for a few more weeks before she goes to her new forever home.) Cathy and I started chatting about pet sitting but as we were talking I was overwhelmed with all the options of food that I didn't think existed for Cats. I had been wanting fresh food (not canned or dry) for our cat. I had seen fresh food for dogs at Whole Foods and Petsmart, etc. but none for Cats. Cathy has it!!! I'm telling you, you must check out her store.!! I am now a loyal customer and I know that if I have to go away for a few days Tink will get to see her buddy again :). Jack, the owner, spent about 20 minutes explaining the benefits of better dog foods, things that I would read about five years later in places like the Wall Street Journal. Things like carbohydrates, fiber and quality protein were the topics. The same things that humans consider important when making dietary decisions. My 12 year old and my 9 year old did two three mile walks last week. My vet said about my 9 year old: "that's the most muscular pug I've even seen". Now, she'd say it is due to her workouts, but the food has made a very big difference in having two healthy dogs. My dogs LOVE this place (unless they get their nails cut...but they forgive pretty quickly) and they settle right in like they are family. There is a huge variety of food, treats and accessories. They support local businesses and pet causes, and will merchandise new things. In some cases I've needed help carrying things to my car, and Jack is happy to help. Food for Pets has rewards programs. The paper coupons are a bonus!

Hello, this is 2011 (almost 2012) and your employees have to read through an old torn price list and it seems they try to work off of memory to see what they have in stock and when it will be re-ordered. This is so inefficient and such a huge time-waster for the employees and the customer. They also have one phone line, so if one of the employees is on the phone, you have to wait until they are off so the cashier can run your credit card. Flinstones much???? I would think that with the amount of money that is charged for the food and pet toys, they could afford these basic tools to run a successful business. Lastly, please ditch those paper money coupons and use a rewards system like PetSmart, PetCo and WoofMeow that can be kept on a keychain. I have those damn paper money coupons all over my car and my kitchen drawer, I just never remember to gather them all together to bring to the store with me. Time to step it up!

Cuts were great, always on time, and priced lower than the big chains. She just groomed my new rescue mix who was a mess after being locked in a bedroom by a lunatic for over a year. He was extremely scared and skittish. Maureen handled him gently and created a beautiful puppy cut. How she got him cleaned I don't know. The whole shop is compassionate and pet focused.

Wee just left Pets Choice with very happy smiles on our faces! Our dog received a good wash at the…read moredog wash self service. The self service had everything you need to wash your dog: brush, aprons, hot and cold water dispensed through a spray that has different spray settings, leash for inside the wash tub and blow dryer. Everything went smoothly with our dog wash. My only suggestion is adding some heat to the blow dryer as it was hard to dry our dog's hair fully. Fair note though, I forgot to use the included towel :) The shop itself is big! There are so many different food options to choose from for your dog, and there is even a dog bakery. The cashier and workers were very friendly, kind and helpful. They give our kids some crayons, a drawing and stickers! We were able to check out as soon as we got in. This made leaving very easy since our company was two toddlers and a young dog :) Next time we are in the area, we will definitely drop by again!
