I needed to board my cat, Honeybucket, for a week and was dreading taking her to the vet or worse, Petsmart, where she'd spend the entire time cowering in a tiny, exposed, and impersonal cage handled by who knows how many people. I am particularly sensitive to what goes on at "luxury" pet hotels - they hire teenagers at minimum wage with little experience. Sure these kids may have grown up with a pet, but come on, we all know that mom was really the one who took care of Fido or Mittens. A quick google search introduced me to Cheryl and I immediately sent her an email. She was quick to respond with pictures, brochures, forms, and a little about the bed and breakfast. I met with her prior to Honeybucket's stay and was impressed that every cat got their own private space and with how IMPECCABLE her house is kept. Talk about amazing odor control! I was completely at ease with entrusting her with my cat. I really liked the fact that she requires proof of vaccinations. She will take care of your cat EXACTLY per your specifications and with lots of love - the perfect balance of professionalism and compassion. During the week, Cheryl sent me updates and pictures which is above and beyond what I expected. Honeybucket had completely settled in and was so calm that Cheryl was able to give her a nail trim without any growling or biting! I know that Honeybucket was treated well because we've been back home for a few days and she has not retaliated for being "abandoned." You absolutely cannot find a better place to board your cat. Period.

My spouse and I have used Cheryl several times for home visits for our two boys. We typically space the home visit days out over our vacation, since they don't really need a personal visit every day. This tends to work out well for us. Older cats or households with single cats might need more frequent visits. They get lonely! :) Cheryl comes in, spends a few minutes with the boys, scoops their litter pan, leaves food for a couple of days, checks the mail, and then locks up. We can always tell when we return that she's been there to look in on them. They're usually fussy when we've been away, but especially fussy when they've been totally left to their own devices for the week. Cheryl's prices are also very affordable. I understand that she also boarding in her own home, kitty condo style, for those that need to be away for an extended period. While we haven't ever used the home boarding service, we would most certainly feel comfortable leaving our boys with Cheryl. We'e always had the impression that she really loves animals and treats her wards as her own. For what it's worth, I rarely give five star reviews because I feel most of them are totally inflated. Cheryl's Kitty B&B is the exception. Keep Cheryl in mind if you need to go away for a few days. She's worth every penny in peace of mind and the five stars.

He's also particularly good with cats. We took a new rescue recently and had some concerns about the cat being difficult but Dr. Lann made it look easy. He also made extra time and stayed late to see our new rescue when we only had an appointment for our other cat. The front desk staff are also very friendly and the atmosphere is quiet and calm which we think is better than the bustling office we take our dogs to.

He did not do a thorough wellness exam on my cat who was there as a new patient. To think I waited months to get in to see him, only to look at the back of his head while he sat on the computer the entire time while my cat sat in his carrier for 90% of it. I am a 27 year emergency room nurse and would never recommend a practitioner who doesn't make his/her clients feel seen and heard. He was horrible and lacked bedside manner, as well as personality. He came off as extremely rude despite every attempt I made to connect and relate. I will never go back, and will be taking my cat elsewhere for a second opinion. I plan to do any recommended treatment of the "small cavity" he said he saw, mind you..... no X-ray to diagnose, the cat eats well, zero sign of pain when probed, had no fever, no tarter, in fact he wasn't even there for anything other than the new pt wellness exam. Funny how the only physical exam he did on my cat was to look in his mouth. Right away he wanted to book anesthesia and pull the tooth to which he announced would cost ~$1000! He admitted that it was a fairly small spot in question, but still wanted to take the tooth out "before it gets big" or the cat has/shows a problem. Again, NO X-RAYS?!?! Very bad experience, and he lost all credibility at that point. I had legitimate questions and felt invisible despite trying to make small talk and relate to this person who should have shown WAY more care and professionalism, along with a thorough exam that my cat never got. $72 was a small price to pay today to avoid his office at all cost going forward, and to warn others along the way. I would give less than one star if I could. Take your cat elsewhere, or don't and I guarantee you will regret it. Erica the receptionist was the best..... I feel awful that I won't have the pleasure to interact with her or the other nice gal at the desk again. I want to mention that the place was clean, and quiet, and had ZERO odor of cats which I very much appreciated. This made for a much more relaxing time for my nervous cat.
