Both were fantastic -- and honestly, I'll probably never order chicken and waffles anywhere else again. Still, I always find myself coming back for the huevos rancheros. Funny story: I asked the owner/waiter about their huevos rancheros recipe. He told me it's been in the family for 45 years. The ingredients are surprisingly simple -- nothing fancy, not even cumin -- so either he's guarding a well-kept family secret, or his father, the cook, has simply perfected the art of turning ordinary ingredients into something extraordinary. As far as ambience, this place is just an ordinary, mountain diner. I love their floor though, and I would like to replicate it in the next cabin I build.
