Two Chicks and a Hippie was the breakfast spot we visited throughout the week. Overall, the food was consistently good, though our last day there was a noticeable exception. While we wouldn't say it was quite as strong as when they were at their original location, it was still enjoyable for most of our stay. We did feel like the portion sizes had changed somewhat compared to previous visits. Our group of five tried a wide range of items from the menu over the course of the week, sampling most of what they offered. For the most part, everything was well-prepared and satisfying, which is why we kept coming back. However, on our final visit, the service was extremely disappointing. Despite there being several open tables, we were seated and then essentially forgotten. We watched as other guests who arrived after us were greeted, had drink orders taken, and received their food before anyone even approached our table. At one point, I even had to get up and go to the front of the restaurant to get service from another waitress, which was frustrating and felt unnecessary given how long we had already been waiting. If it hadn't been for our positive experiences earlier in the week, we likely would have left. The situation was made worse when our waitress, Trisha, finally brought our check and sang out, "I thought I forgot about one of my tables..." The comment felt completely inappropriate given how long we had been waiting and how poorly we had been attended to. read more

Loved this place! Very cute inside with a small area that has t-shirts and memorabilia. Service and food were great. Indoor and outdoor seating with a cute little barista bar area. We wanted to pickup lunch and keep driving so we stopped here. Very quick and accommodating service. I got a grilled cheese sandwich and a side of fruit. The sandwich was nice and crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside. Perfect option for eating on the go. The fruit was fresh and enjoyable. We only waited 5 minutes. Good service and cool establishment. Food is good and has your typical breakfast options. We opted for the breakfast burritos which were filling for us. We both had our burritos smothered with chile I had mine Christmas style for an extra charge which is worth getting just wish it was a bit cheaper for the smothered option. The chile is not spicy both mild but have flavor. We didn't have room for dessert which I'll have to try next time. All the baked goods look good and fresh. read more

This has been a favorite place for years. Today we come in for a late lunch at 1pm. We have our golden retriever with us and so we want a shaded table on the patio since the sun is really intense out here. Even though there are about 10 tables open with shade the hostess say we have to go to a table in the sun next to 2 other table all with dogs. I request another table away from everybody in the shade. I was told the owner had a strict policy that dogs only sit at the three table in the corner together with this one in the sun. The manager came out and also told us the OWNER would not allow us to sit anywhere else. If the outside was packed and it was the only table maybe that would be ok. We go in multiple times a week at the old location during the time we stay here but with owners attitude and attitude toward having dogs on the patio at all I think that the last time we take family and friends. They lose an average $100 to $200 multiple times a week and we find places that are more open to dogs. read more

We came on a Sunday 11am Memorial weekend. We luckily got seated immediately. We were told by the lovely woman hosting we just missed a 40 minute wait. The ambiance? We were greeted to live music. A bluesy /jazz / lounge music. Nice. They have many souvenirs for sale. Family's all around enjoying each other's company. The sound of chatter and laughs all around. The coffee was good and strong. I got the eggs Benedict (the daily special). My grandson opted for sausage and eggs. My husband, the famous corned beef hash, eggs and pancakes. The price is just right. The servings are decent. I mean who needs breakfast leftovers right? Amazing coffee bar with some bad ass batista! Don't forget the cinnamon roll! The servers were very attentive and friendly. Free coffee refills! Ordered a BOWL of chili. Waitress said it was HUGE. The bowl would probably hold 12-14 oz properly filled. 16 maybe 100% capacity. Wouldn't say huge but a good sized bowl. Mine was filled under 50% Qty was that of an average CUP served in a bowl. 4 of us ate and our bill was nearly $100. Food was high quality and service was good. read more

We visited in October of 2025 (sorry for the delay) and had a positive breakfast experience. The food quality was excellent, portions good and the staff friendly. Even though we came at peak time (It was very busy) but it did not feel chaotic or anxiety inducing: pretty chill. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity we received, and for an old cheapskate like me that's saying something! Choices in Pagosa are limited but this is a cute little breakfast place I highly recommend. Breakfast prices are very reasonable. Which you find more in uptown ie near Walmart. I had the breakfast burrito with red and green chili. Being from New Mexico they get an A for effort on the very mild chili. But for Colorado very good. Will definitely be back as our son lives here. Last time we went fairly early in the morning, we were trying to have a relatively quiet, low key meal and had to take our food to go because that was not vibe. Another great breakfast, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Yes there was a wait, not too bad for a Sunday, about 10 minutes. I had the Southern smothered breakfast burrito - excellent! We also had a cinnamon roll while waiting for - nice and fresh. As a side we had the cinnamon toast, with a lot of tasty cinnamon. Our server was excellent, even as busy as they were. Small little brunch spot with outdoor seating. They have baked goods and brunch until a certain time. Omelette was good, maybe I was hungry but I finished it in less than a minute. I love this place for brunch whenever I'm in Pagosa. Really good breakfast food...burritos, breakfast sandwiches, biscuits and gravy and pancakes! You can't go wrong with any of these items. I must say, coming from New Mexico, the chile was a 4/10. Sorry CO. But other than that my meal was sensational! It's always busy for breakfast, so expect to wait awhile.
