The service was outstanding, and the bartenders, Kyle and Christina, truly made the night memorable. Kyle makes one of the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had. As such despite visiting fairly often we rarely come to the clubhouse. Every once in a while we want the vibes and do it anyway but always leave at least a little disappointed. Breakfast buffet is decent with a pretty good amount of options but it's also quite expensive. The service is generally classic passive aggressive southern hospitality with some more genuinely nice servers sprinkled in. I do understand this part is a little hard to overcome as they of course need to hire locals, but it's an aspect of the experience nevertheless. On the positive side, it's a beautiful location. I just wish the pub area were more amenable for future hangs. Also of course everyone drinks and drives, so it would also be cool if there were a shuttle within Lake of the Woods, but I suppose that's a separate complaint. This should be gathering spot for a large portion of the community, instead I understand it to be struggling when it absolutely should not be. I don't know how management doesn't realize that without making proper changes it will continue to struggle but alas.
