Had a birthday party with around 20 guests- wanted to do Karaoke. No problem, right? WRONG. They allowed other guests to monopolize the microphone (they were all younger women with ABHORRENT manners). We left and took the entire party to another location. If you're looking for a friendly atmosphere, steer clear! The owners have a reputation for banning patrons based on personal opinions - very unprofessional. This place was purchased by an attorney who knows nothing about running a bar. Ultimately, the bar is nothing but a "playground" for his wife and her entourage. If you're not in the click, you're an outsider. If someone would buy this bar and renovate, it would be a very nice place! The one bathroom isn't clean and always reeks of urine. The floors are always sticky and the only reason the bar has that name is the new owners didn't want to pay to replace the sign. Worst food ever. Ordered gooey bacon cheese fries and chicken quesadilla and mozzarella sticks. Mozzarella sticks were hard as a rock, chicken quesadillas were dry, over cooked and inedible. Lastly, the bacon cheese fries were the biggest disappointment. The pictures look great online but what came instead was a plate of hard fries and a bowl of yellow soup. Fries with shredded cheese should be pretty hard to mess up , but I've never seen anything like this. I signed up for yelp to leave this review because I've never seen anything so awful. Man in MEDICAL DISTRESS attacked by mob at RED SHAMROCK in Mt. Laurel. Including man who claimed to be the owner! August 3, 2021. Last night at approximately 7:00PM I walked into the Red Shamrock with my wife, daughter, and son-in-law. We'd just finished eating a very good dinner at Area 41. We stood at the bar and ordered a round of drinks. My son-in-law downed his drink. He then clutched his throat, his face pale, and said there was glass in his drink. He began COUGHING AND SPITTING UP BLOOD. In his hand was a piece of thin sharp plastic or glass approximately 1" by 1/2". A couple and two other gentlemen at the bar witnessed this. The female, seeing the blood and distress, said we need to take him to the ER. The blonde female waitress came around the bar and apologized saying "I'm so sorry." She took the piece of plastic/glass. My son-in-law continued to spit up blood. I led him to the men's room, but it was locked. He went out back, across the deck, and began choking up blood and phlegm in the parking lot. He threw up his dinner. We went back inside. At the bar sat an old man holding my son-in-law's glass with the piece of plastic/glass wrapped in a paper towel inside the glass. The old man, who someone later claimed was the owner's father, showed zero concern and immediately began ridiculing my son-in-law when he asked to see the plastic/glass. He refused to show it to him and began making claims that my son-in-law was attempting to scam the bar, that only ice had been in the glass and not the plastic/glass, that he was being dramatic and needed to calm down. My son-in-law wasn't being dramatic or raising his voice. He was trying to tell them that his throat was cut, he'd spit up a lot of blood, he'd thrown up, and wasn't sure if he should go to the hospital or not. That's when things ratcheted up. The brunette bartender began ridiculing my son-in-law, loudly and boldly mocking him, the injured individual. The person who someone later claimed was the owner stepped in (black shirt and shorts). My wife and daughter left the bar in fear. My son-in-law snatched the piece of plastic/glass out of the glass. They started screaming at us to get out of the bar. I said I wasn't leaving and if they were going to intimidate us, I was going to call 911 and wait for the police. They shouted to go ahead and call the police. I sat down and called 911. My son-in-law moved toward the door. The old man went after him, followed by four other men. My son-in-law picked up a chair, his back to the wall, and held it at waist level. The five men attacked him, pulling at his shirt, shoving him, threatening him. One punk in a red t-shirt and hat shouted, "I'm going to fuck you up!" Per my wife and daughter, when outside, the old man had to be held back from attacking my son-in-law. The brunette bartender got in my wife's face and told her the owner was a lawyer and we wouldn't be able to touch him. The mob yelled at my son-in-law, wife, and daughter. I was still inside on the phone with 911. Other men in the bar began to threaten me and demand that I leave. I told them to stay away from me and that I wasn't leaving until the police arrived. The fire department arrived and attended to my son-in-law. He continued to spit up blood. The police arrived and after speaking with my family, they came inside. They asked me to go outside. The little man in the tan shirt told the police me and my family were drunk. We were not drunk. I explained that we'd just come from eating dinner next door. I went outside and explained the callous inhumane treatment we'd received, the verbal and physical attack by the mob including the person they claimed was the owner. The police confirmed that the person they claimed was the owner, was in fact claiming to be the owner. In other words, the individual who should've protected us, was actually one of the attackers! The moment of comedy, if there was one, was when we were told by the police that we could no longer return to the RED SHAMROCK and if we did, we'd be trespassing. I asked the officer if he really thought we wanted to come back and drink sharp objects and be attacked by a mob. He laughed and said, "Probably not." My son-in-law and I provided written statements. He continued to throw up, although by now there was no more blood. When there should've been concern, kindness, instead there was verbal and physical attacks and threats. Unbelievable, unprofessional. unsafe, pathetic, and wrong. No one in that bar aided us! No one. My daughter's text to me this morning, "Such a scary night." read more

We arrived at 6:30 (Saturday)to a moderate crowd. Discovered that they had a unisex bathroom with a waiting list. ( not particularly clean either).Ordered beer and was served in reasonable time. Then ordered the burger, medium. It was a large meatball cooked well done. Incredibly loud with most patrons middle aged. Surprising. The burgers were merely OK and the fries were severely over cooked. Half of them were crunchy. The younger/bearded fellow behind the bar was very nice, personable and helpful. Sadly he was the only saving grace to this visit. In fact he was the reason for a two star instead of one star. Not remotely an Irish Pub. I suspect it is a local beer joint and nothing more. I really couldn't recommend this place to anyone. This is not meant to offend anyone. Just an honest review. As we were leaving a couple of musicians were setting up. Maybe it gets better? read more

We checked out this new establishment, an Irish Pub, located in the new Mt Laurel shopping center. It's called The Red Shamrock. There are several ales and lagers on drought, as well as plenty others in bottles. We ordered two appetizers, the Irish Nachos and the Scotch Eggs. The "Nachos" were not your traditional nachos. Instead of chips, they used waffle fries, topped with cheddar cheese, black beans, pico de gallo, jalapeno peppers, onions, and chopped bell peppers. They were Magically Delicious!!! We also got an order of the Scottish Golden Eggs. Hard-boiled eggs coated in chorizo sausage, then deep fried. Those were pretty tasty as well. Two of us ordered the Fish & Chips. The fish are frozen, but they definitely do well on waffle fries. One of our party ordered the Rueben, which is handmade, and was quite tasty and large. My husband ordered the Guinness Stew, which comes in a bread bowl. It was rich and tender. They also told us that the burgers were frozen, as well, so you can't change the cooking temperature, i.e. they all come med-well. The menu is supposed to be growing soon, and so is their beer menu. It's a great local pub. There's additional seating upstairs, along with home theater recliners in front of a 100"+ screen on the wall for watching sports. Great place to hang out after work with friends and coworkers. P.S. If you order the Guinness Stew, order it in a bowl. Otherwise when the bread bowl starts to get soggy, it seeps through the paper lining the basket that it's served in. read more

First visit to Mt. Laurel (for a wedding) and wanted to pop into one of the local joints for a cold one. Area 41 Pizza was packed and very small for a corner unit, so we went into this Irish pub. We were served drinks quickly, and paid for our tabs via iPad. Very cool system. Enjoyed a pint at one of the round tables made out of a whiskey barrel. read more

The Red Shamrock debuted some of their new menu items today and the ones we tried were fantastic. My wife and I had the Frado Burger, the establishment's take on the classic cheeseburger w/a few fried additives (jumbo onion ring and an egg), and the Buffalo Wings with the secretive-yet-superlative Boss Ross Sauce that were especially fulfilling. Considering this is our neighborhood pub The Red Shamrock should be a must-stop locale for those looking for a Happy Hour haunt. read more

The Red Shamrock is beginning to work the kinks out of their food. My son and I stopped in last week and the burgers were great. We love the pretzel rolls they are served on. The Irish nachos are really good and I had wonderful margarita. It wasn't too busy since it was a week night. Football Saturdays are lots of fun although they can be busy. read more

Great neighborhood bar! Most of the complaints on here are about their food and they have corrected that issue. They still have a few odds and ends that they make, but the main dishes come from Stones Throw down the street. They now have a simplified made to order menu that gets run over from Stones Throw. General manager Shannon and other staff members are very friendly and attentive. Good beer variety, lively atmosphere and good live music on the weekends. read more

My first visit was last Saturday. it started out OK, they have a fairly respectable choice of beers on tap. It is rather noisy as the place is small and the acoustics are poor. The live entertainment was a young lady who seemed like she screached more than singing. The worst part was the menu. The last menu i saw online gave me hope i could eat something suitable to my taste (like a reuben, a turkey sandwich, and salads). Alas, when i got was ready to eat, none of those items were on the menu. Basically everything is deep fried. Oh, except for the burgers. I had the fish and chips. Taste was fair, but quite greasy. the fries were just ok. the malt vinegar was watery. My date had the chips and salsa. Both were the worst tasting i ever had, little taste or zing. read more

We really had high hopes for this place but based upon our visit it falls short. The main reason I gave it two stars is because the concept is great. Family friendly bar with live entertainment. They have a cool ordering system where the server uses an iphone app! Where they fall short is in the food. We ordered chips and dip. The rotel dip tastes good but it is served in 3 plastic sample cups, which quickly cooled off. We ordered 3 burgers, which all 3 came exact opposite of what we ordered on them. Seems the cook could not read the ticket. Guess that system is not so cool after all The bun was icebox cold. Once they redid the burgers, they had no flavor. We did not care for the plastic basket everything is served in. As I mentioned earlier, they have a cool ticketing system. The only issue we had there was the server stands over you as you use the iPad to put your tip on the bill. This was a little uncomfortable. On the flip side the drinks were great. And the server had full knowledge of their offerings and was very pleasant. All in all, they did not live up to our expectations. Drinks were great but food was fair at best. Ok, tried this place out with new owners. Had been in when the Irish Pub served "Mexican" food. Tonight, had good ole pub food and was not disappointed. Wings, fish and chips along with the Irish Pub Fries... That were very good. Will go back. Glad to have in area. read more
