Came here for my birthday dinner. It's not very big so be sure to make a reservation. There's a bar where you can sit but it was pretty full. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken almost immediately lots of cocktails on the menu. We really liked our drinks. Our favorite was the Beach Chair. No specials the night we went but plenty on the menu. We got the bread service and the bread was delicious. For my main entree I got the red snapper which was on a bed of spinach and risotto. It was fantastic! Hubby ordered the filet Oscar which always makes me nervous because he's never happy with the cook on the steak at other restaurants. I'm happy to report that the cook was perfectly medium here. He was thrilled and it tasted delicious. He got the sweet potato medley as his side and the potatoes were so good. We did not stay for dessert because we were stuffed. We will be back for sure!

Oak House is a restaurant we just found and throughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is not very big and is really centered around the large bar area. Tables work the exterior walls with some seating at the bar as well as outside. Service was amazing, the second we were sat our waitress arrived to go over the drink menu as pour us some water. Drinks were received fast and orders taken. The food was delicious between the lamb and the chicken. We were never felt like we had to look for our waitress. Well done Oak House

We came here with my mom for her birthday. This place was beautiful on the inside and it gives nice and cozy on the set up. The server was so amazing and my sis had her before. She gave great recommendations for the appetizers and drinks. I ordered the lavender lemon drop and it was so good. I also had the burger with truffles fried. Even though we were close to where the kitchen is, it wasn't loud either. This place is great if you want to meet with friends, date, or solo date.

This place was all that and a piece of cake. The server was so nice and attentive and explained everything. The food was delicious; I plan for many trips back their way.

The Ambiance was 10s across the board. Our server was very nice. Drinks came quick and the Food was in a category of its own. I ordered the Oak House Pasta. It was so flavorful, well seasoned and the sauce was amazing!

On our before you die bucket list, well today we died. Growing up in Thunderbolt Ga. catching, cleaning and cooking fresh crab and ordering it from every restaurant from Baltimore to San Francisco the Gulf Coast and every place in between that offered it on the menu we would order it. Today we had the best of the best. Lump crab, sauce and topping that celebrated the crab. Thank you Chef Oliver and service from Tristan, a most enjoyable meal. Atmosphere upscale/local gathering place. Wine selection very good. Short Ribs cooked to perfection, fork tender and a wonderful horseradish sauce, served on Risotto with asparagus & carrots. Prosciutto wrapped Scallops on a delicious Red Pepper Risotto is a come back dish. This might be our new once a year special place, unless I get the cravings for crab.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious and flavorful. I ordered the bronzed redfish and a lemon drop martini. Our waiter was attentive, answered our questions, and gave recommendations. We had reservations. The dining area and ambience are nice. I'll include pictures.

We had the best experience at Oak House last night! From the moment we sat down at a cozy table by the window, everything felt warm and inviting. The chairs were actually some of the most comfortable I've ever sat in at a restaurant, such a nice touch! We started with the bread service, which was outstanding. The focaccia bread was perfectly fresh, and the butter was rich and delicious. For starters, I had the Caesar salad.. hands down one of the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the wedge salad, and the dressing was next-level. It was some sort of vinaigrette that was so good we ended up dipping our bread in it once the salad was gone. For mains, I had the burger and fries, and I can honestly say it was the first burger I've ever had where the meat itself was so seasoned and flavorful it stood out beyond the toppings and sauce. The toppings and sauce were great, though! My husband ordered the ribeye with scalloped potatoes, and both were fantastic - perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We did try the mac & cheese as well. It wasn't our favorite.. it leaned a little watery compared to the rest of the dishes, but still had a nice taste overall. The drinks were also excellent. My husband had the "Marg-a-tini" which was refreshing and creative, and I had the Beach Chair (I think that was its name), a tropical, fruity cocktail that was super fun and delicious. Service was wonderful. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing, and everything flowed smoothly all evening. Overall, Oak House is a 10/10 for us. Incredible food, excellent service, and such a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

Phenomenal dining experience!!…read more Service was top notch from the hostess and host, our waiter and all of the runners. Attentive without being obnoxious, in depth explanations of items on the menu with great recommendations! We started with a half dozen raw oysters and the pork belly. Oysters were very fresh and the seasoned crackers were a nice touch. The pork belly was quite possibly the best we've ever had and we're slight snobs about it. The fennel and orange mixture was a unique blend that really complemented the smokiness of the pork belly, Our steaks were melt in your mouth good. Cooked perfectly! I wished I could've just taken a massive bowl of the macaroni and cheese home. The char on the broccolini balanced the richness of the macaroni. They were sadly out of the crème brûlée, so instead I had the vanilla and peach gelato, while my husband had the chocolate l'orange cake. The vanilla gelato had the perfect rich vanilla taste. The peach didn't taste much like peach, but the flavor was still good. The cake was light and fluffy with a great balance of chocolate and orange. The candied orange peel on top was a nice touch! The atmosphere is pretty busy so it was louder than I was expecting. However, the ability to see the wine cellar, fridge of aging meat, and a window to stop in to look at the kitchen was a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

It's spectacular every time. The rotating menu keeps things fresh and interesting, and every dish we've had has been thoughtfully prepared and consistently excellent. The kitchen is clearly doing something special and it's a big reason we keep coming back. This visit, however, the service was unusually slow. Our dinner lasted about two hours (7:30-9:30) on a night that didn't seem particularly busy. There was a noticeable lull in the dining room with quite a few open tables, yet it still took nearly 40 minutes between finishing our appetizers and receiving our main courses. The pacing just felt off compared to past visits. Valet (which I understand isn't directly run by the restaurant) was also a bit slow -- about a 15 minute wait to get our car at the end of the night. All that said, Armour House is still a really special spot with incredible food and we'll absolutely be back. Sharing this feedback because we've had such great experiences here before and hope this was just an off night.

I genuinely could have ordered almost anything off the menu; everything sounded delicious. Unfortunately, I don't have the budget or the ability to consume every dish off the menu, so my boyfriend and I settled on splitting 2 small plates and 1 entree. What we ordered: -Smoked Fish Fritters: a Cuban delicacy. Still thinking about how good these were. Plenty to share! -Snapper Ceviche: personally not my thing, but my boyfriend loved this. I honestly wanted to like this, but the raw fish started to weird me out. -Jerk Chicken: served atop a tomato/bbq risotto that was devine. The inside here is so cozy and slightly tropical. They have a huge alcoholic selection too if that's your vibe. I'm so excited to return and try some more dishes!

I ordered the Espresso Martini ($14); it was lacking something in the flavor, but that could possibly be from me going against the grain when ordering. I had the jerk chicken, it was not a true jerk chicken ($29) it was basically grilled chicken with sauce so when expecting something more authentic it was disappointing to say the least. The tamarind caesar ($15) was also different than I expected; although I would make a trip for it, I would order it again when visiting. The best thing I tried was actually the typhoon brusssel sprouts ($12), I was very happy with them and honestly would have been okay if that was the only thing I ordered. The wait staff was great, very personable and being willing to dicuss the menu and give suggestions. Espresso Martini(Vodka-Carajillo) 7/10 flavor is not what accustomed to might have been better with the Rum normally fixed with. Tamarind Caesar- at first glance definitely not my regular Caesar. Definitely not an average Caesar the lettuce is grilled giving it a smoky flavor, caught off guard but I would order again. 8/10 Jerk Chicken- overall was a good dish first time trying farro wasn't sure what to expect made me think of oatmeal, the mango salsa and sauce on the chicken was good the chicken itself was a bit dry but still good. Overall I would give the dish a 7.5 I rarely order chicken out and I think this was a reminder why. Typhoon Brussel Sprouts- had great taste 9/10 I could come back and get a drink with the Brussels. Would consider the Star of the night The price was consistent with the area, nothing seemed overly priced. Portions were also large enough to be split so if with a group and wanting to try multiple items you would be able to do it and have enough.

The ambiance was great with lights on the tables, low lighting overall and plenty of room between the tables. We definitely felt like we were in our own little corner, could hear each other talk, and we did not have to listen to others conversations. I really enjoyed the mocktail I ordered. It was called the Sinaloa Sunrise and was much more than a few juices poured together. It was full of flavor, and I actually said "Wow" out loud as I drank it. It included pineapple juice, lime juice, habanero brown sugar syrup, sage syrup, and grenadine sink. Before I ordered it, i I wondered about the sage syrup, but it really added to the taste. For an appetizer, we shared the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio. Our friend suggested it and he was right on the money. It consisted of fresh horseradish, truffle aioli, fingerling potatoes, pickled mustard seeds, arugula, and caciotta al tartufo. It was melt in your mouth goodness. For my entree, I went with the 8 oz Filet. It was cooked perfectly, and we shared a side order of the Brussels Sprouts Calaprese. They were absolutely delicious and plenty for the three of us. This wonderful evening ended with dessert. I went with the Bananas Foster Cheesecake. It was good, but it needed more caramel. It included brown butter caramel, pistachio banana crumble, spiced ice cream, white chocolate crèmeux and white chocolate pearls. Was this an expensive dinner? Yes, but it was well worth it. You definitely are paying for a whole experience including unique flavors in every bite and wonderful service. Our server, Matt, made the night perfect.

It might have been the slowest dinner I ever had in my life. I had a 7:00 PM reservation and I arrived early and sat down at 6:50. After being greeted and ordering wine I placed an order of the pork belly appetizer at 7:05. The pork belly appetizer came out at 8:00, 55 minutes after ordering. I placed the entree order at 7:30 and it came out at 8:30. There were only 3 other tables in the restaurant. Two three tops and a two top so not even large tables. Why on earth is it taking an hour to get out an order. I have my credit card at 8:50 and got it back at 9:15. 25 minutes to charge a card? I mean I guess you can get busy but the 4 tables here had 3 people helping with them. At no point when the server came by my table did I ever say I needed another minute. So, a 2.5+ hour dinner as a single diner was ridiculous, especially considering they were not busy. The food here was truly incredible, some of the best I've had anywhere I've traveled. I absolutely loved it. You can tell they source fresh, local ingredients daily, and that commitment clearly shines through in the quality of every dish. I started with the pork belly appetizer, which was outstanding. The cut had the perfect balance of meat and fat, expertly cooked with the fat beautifully rendered. The flavors were exceptional as well, finished with a maple glaze and paired with a sweet potato cornbread that was completely unique and memorable. For my main course, I ordered the smoked ribeye, and it was flawless. The quality was top-tier, with gorgeous marbling that truly reflected a prime cut. The smoke flavor was perfectly balanced--present but never overpowering. It had a beautiful crust, was expertly seasoned, and cooked to an ideal temperature. It honestly could not have been better. They also offered a few amuse-bouches that were equally impressive. A single bite of cherry tomato with lamb bacon was one of the best bites I've ever had. To finish, I was served a watermelon and muscadine sorbet with a St-Germain finish, an incredibly thoughtful and skillful dessert. There is an immense amount of talent in this kitchen. You will never be disappointed by the food here. My experience seemed to be overshadowed by the slow service and near the end I was so ready to just leave. However I might consider returning just for the food.

For the love of God, don't believe the news articles and the James Beard nomination. This place is a ripoff. If it was ever good, it's gone downhill faster than a shopping buggy. The food is severely subpar and overpriced. The half lobster appeared to be a third lobster and cost as much as a whole lobster. I've had better hush puppies at a roadside barbecue joint. I've never had tiny "seared" scallops dumped into a half inch of beef broth before (how can they still be called seared when they're submerged?!?). Remarkably low quality cuisine. Please don't waste your money unless you're an unsophisticated rube. My cocktail was alright, but very small in volume compared to most other restaurants. The decorating appears dingy and the booth seats hurt your back. My wife said the bathroom had "trash everywhere." The waiter was very nice.
