I just got my membership yesterday, I have used the tanning and most spa services already. I love it, it was a great experience. I love all the tanning and spa services they have. And all the tanning lotions smell amazing and works great. The whole place is decorated so cute, i like how the lights are dim with pretty colors everywhere. Okay usually tanning places are kinda average and nothing too special, but this is the NICEST place you'll ever go! I wish the location was closer to I-15...its a little out of the way. I have been going to Beaches for the last few years. I know it's not the fault of the girls but the high pressure sales are incredibly over the top. I went a few days ago and asked to quickly tan on a lunch break and could not be spared the 20 minute pitch, having to buy new eye wear, letting me know my tan likely won't be great without one of their lotions, etc. It's too much. Googled other tanning and came into The Reef. Jory (spelling?) was incredibly helpful and understood I just wanted to try the one tan. Of course she gentle mentioned other things but it was subtle and classy. Overall just impressed with the facility, the cleanliness, the true professionalism and sales and understanding what real customer satisfaction is...that's what brings in more business! Loyal customers come from feeling like the staff really listens not from uncomfortable, high pressure sales. (Even when you are already a member) Well done Jory and The Reef! this is the best tanning salon i've everrrr been to!!! i love coming here it's so relaxing, the girls are always so sweet! inside looks amazing, the tanning beds are amazing. I LOVE that every time i go in they dont harass me into getting a membership. everything about this place keeps me coming back!! I'm extremely disappointed because I really did love this salon, the owners and the employees. But there has consistently been one employee named willow who has been rude to me and even flat out ignored me when I speak to her. I went in a couple days ago and the girl who put me in my bed was super sweet and friendly and then I waited for over 20 minutes for my bed. Which I would completely understand if they were busy but at that point there was nobody else in the lobby and I was just sitting there while Willow was gossiping and yelling at other employees loud enough for me to hear. I quickly asked, very nicely, if willow could clean my bed and send me back there since I saw it was open. And she responded by folding her arms, staring at me from the hallway and saying "it's open" to me. Then when she came to the desk to process me in my bed she shrugged her shoulders, shook her head at me and very rudely said "okay go back" I was so taken aback and uncomfortable I didn't even tan I just waited for my girlfriend to finish up tanning and the entire time she was staring at me and glaring. She then lied and told other employees and the owner I screamed at her swore at her in front of a whole lobby of people. The only thing I did say was the reason I wanted my tan reversed was because she was rude to me but that was all. They quickly realized their own employee was lying when they looked at the cameras. I was very level headed and had a calm voice the entire time. I went in a couple days later to see if different people were on shift to see if I could tan only to find out my entire membership that I paid for had been cancelled without anybody contacting me about it. I did not yell, raise my voice or use any foul language towards any employees. I was the one who was treated poorly by their employee and not only did they fail to reach out to me, they canceled my account and took my money for nothing. His excuse later was that he thought because of my experience and my email to him I wanted it canceled. I never said that in my email. I simply explained what happened and asked them to reach out to me about ways to fix this and they failed to do that. They failed to communicate with me in any way. I am baffled by what I have had to experience at this salon. I just will not tolerate being treated like that when I am a paying customer and I especially will not have an employee making defamatory comments about me. I do personally know a different one of the employees but again, I am a paying customer and I deserved to be treated like one. Pretty good place. Everyone is always nice and helpful. They need a louder buzzer for when you walk in- half the time the girl isn't at the counter and either doesn't hear the door or doesn't care. Because I've waited a long time before someone came to front desk. I've even had to go walking through the place calling out for someone. My other complaint is having to wait 10 minutes while a new person read over what services they offer. Instead of the girl checking me in and getting me started she just sat there staring at everyone. read more

Beware!!! My wife is having our baby tomorrow so she got her hair and nails done and wanted to spay tan as well. She went to Reef Tanning and did the mystic tan. It turned her green so we rushed home and she jumped in the shower and scubbed for 30 mins while crying the whole time. To make matters worse it ruined her hair and the blow out place is closed. Thanks Reef Tanning for ruining my wifes night. FYI when bronzer is old the red oxidizes and turns green, so they are using old product! I would stay away unless you don't mind being green. read more
