This place is in a convenient Holladay location and easy parking makes this place a quick easy way to drop in for tanning. Well the girl at the front desk was super nice but my spray tan looks terrible. I used the Versa Spa and I think one of the sprayers was clothes because the entire time I kept thinking, "I don't think this is getting my right side." Low and behold 6 hours later my left arm is about 2 shades darker than my right. Won't be using it again. read more

I don't agree with the other negative reviews about this spot. It's small- it's not corporate - it's adequate- no there are not 2-3 people waiting to act overly happy and urgently heap customer service on you as QUICKLY as maybe a more corporate chain, but get over yourselves! Waiting 10 mins to check in with one girl one desk and a few beds is not terrible? Some of these reviews left here are really unfair and sound pretty privileged to me. If you want a "PBT" go there- join their crazy monthly plan. These guys are occasionally expensive, have ridiculous lotion / tan deals, but in between those times they have great text deals and other specials. I called to make an appointment for a spray tan, the girl who answered the phone, Micah, was extremely bratty when I asked her about it and what I had left on my account. When I got there, she argued with me about what package I had on my account. Telling me I had purchased one thing, when I know for a fact I had purchased something completely different. I hadn't been in within the past year, but her system even showed that the last time I had been there I had done the other tan, the one I know I had purchased. She told me I was going to have to pay extra for the package I had already paid for and that maybe the system had changed since I had been in last and purchased the package. Why would I need to pay for something I'd already paid for. I asked to speak to her manager and she pretty much told me no, there was nothing her manager could do. After arguing and being completely unprofessional towards me, rolling her eyes and scoffing at me, she finally went around the corner and called her manager. Which I heard the entire conversation where she bad mouthed me and more or less called me a liar to her manager. Who knows what her manager said because when she came back around the corner she was even more rude, told me she didn't know why I was arguing with her and that I didn't have a choice, I'd have to pay the extra. I tanned and left. She literally did not understand that I had paid for one package, I wasn't going to repay or pay more for something I had already paid for. That's ridiculous. So unprofessional and rude. I can't believe she thinks she's allowed to treat customers like that and get away with it. read more

Was a 100% Loyal Customer to Secret Beach. I was actually one of the first customers they had. I loved Bed 4, It was old, flat but they always kept their bulbs refreshed. Throughout the past few years my wife and I would purchase Monthly unlimited passes. We noticed a significant decrease in the quality of Tan we would receive. In order to even Brown we would have had to tan daily with a bronzer, or upgrade to a even more expensive bed. This year I reluctantly walked in to sign up. Their Prices had nearly Doubled? Wouldn't mind even paying a higher price if I would have known bulbs were going to be hot! I had to say no thank you and walk out. Actually felt kind of sad. Me and my wife's names at one point in time were always up top on the surfboard with a heart under them. Now I am so glad I am no longer there. The Sun Center is way better. Also I have been going 3 months now and have never had to wait. The Girls that work there are all Great. No hassle, no forgot to clean bed. No can you please get me power. The bulbs are good, beds maintained. I can go in once, and if I don't rotate I will have marks from missing that area. Also their prices are very competitive, bought a lotion. Personally, the few times I have been here, I received great customer service. Perhaps it's because I have a fairly positive attitude. The girls that work here are young adults, as are most tanning salon employees. They're still learning customer service so I think the other reviews are a bit harsh. This area (Holladay) is probably hard hard to please honestly, it is a beautiful city, but the standards are very high. I found that the prices here are competitive. The location is wonderful. It is kept clean. I have no complaints. Hopefully my future visits will continue to be good ones, but then that's why we have Yelp, right? ;-) Thanks Ladies. Keep up the good work! read more

Absolutely the most Ridiculous BUSINESS I have ever attempted to work with! After closing a location with no warning to customers they continue to expect us to pay them a monthly fee! Kristen at the front desk is the most dense unhelpful snotty brat I have ever had the displeasure of working with! HORRIBLE service!!! Seriously painful to check in -it took about 15 minutes just to get to me and there was only 1 person in line in front of me. They do get 2 stars because the place is clean and they keep up with the newest beds. If they could drastically change the customer service it would be a decent place to go. I bought a groupon online. Had never been in before. I went in yesterday. Upon walking in I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and all the equipment looked new and in good condition. After waiting at the front desk for about 10 min, I walked down the hall saying 'hello?' and looking for anyone who worked there. Finally, at the end of the hall a door flew open and a girl who looked visibly upset told me she'd be out in a few minutes. I walked back up to the front to wait. While waiting I couldn't help but notice a notepad on the front desk that in very large letters read, F*** YOU. It was obvious that someone was probably just having a really bad day. The girl finally came up to the desk. Short, curt, and obviously very annoyed, she finally got me back to my room. I can sympathize with a bad day, but being my first time in there, it was a rough first impression. read more

After tanning at this salon for over 30 years, I am sad to say that I would caution anyone from sharing their information with this salon. I have experienced minor inconveniences over the years and never said one word but this past February I asked that a manager contact me to discuss the fact that they can only reactivate your monthly membership on the 1st day of each month and instead of receiving a phonecall, the employee took it upon herself to just re-activate my account and charged $54.95/mo for two months which was UNAUTHORIZED! The worst part about this entire situation would be that I know the owner (Mike Vincent) and attempted to contact him directly and he has avoided my phone calls, refused to call me back and has expected one of his employees to let me know that they will refund ONE of those 2 months charged. Why should I compromise when these charges were never authorized in the first place???!!! If this is how they treat a loyal customer of 30 years, I can only imagine what I may have overlooked to this point. If you tan here, do NOT give them your credit card information pay with cash. Or, just tan at Palm Beach. This is a lack of integrity and completely dishonest! Writing negative reviews is not my style but unfortunately, this merchant has left me with no other choice.
