    Pinwheel Lasagna

Love coming here. I have been here three times I believe and all have been great. The pasta dishes are great along with the drinks. This pinwheel lasagna was chefs kiss. It books out here months in advance so its important to book ahead of time!

Been trying to get a reservation here every time I visit the area and was finally able to get one that matched my schedule. Service from Jessica and the rest of the staff was excellent. We were seated outside in 10f degree weather but it was still very warm and toasty. I enjoyed the Grilled Spanish octopus and pinwheel lasagna. We also got the Focaccia set and the heirloom carrots and they were very good too, although, the sauce of the carrots and grilled octopus seemed too similar, almost identical. Overall a great experience!

I absolutely adored this place and fell in love with every single dish. I 100% recommend the chefs counter, which is a set course meal carefully crafted with so much creativity. The flavors were delicious. My favorites were the tuna, pasta and dessert. I'm visiting from LA, California and I have to say the food is leagues better than the restaurants I've tried so far back at home. It truly was an adventure for my palate! What's unique about this dinner is that it's very interactive. At first the headphones and the blindfold threw me off, but it really made the experience quite immersive and memorable. I fished for my food too with a fishing rod. How cute! I wish they would open a restaurant in LA. It would be an absolute hit! Staff were amazing and welcoming. The menu changes every 2 months for the chefs counter but you won't regret a second of it. 100000/10, can't wait to come back when I visit PA!

    Veal parm x2!

Got the pinwheel lasagna this time! Amazing! I don't think it was quite as good as the veal parm tho. Focaccia is my favorite and those yummy beans... and I don't even really care for beans. My husband hates how the clubby music is so loud in here but that's literally the only negative. Love this place!

The food was excellent, and the ambiance was lovely. Our server was warm and friendly, which made the experience even better. The only downside is how hard it is to get a reservation, I'm currently on the waitlist for a birthday dinner in April

Make your reservations NOW!!! So worth the wait. Went there on a Friday. Seated immediately. Service was above and beyond. Waiter very knowledgeable and had great suggestions. Started with Pumpkin martini. Don't know how they did it, but it wasn't a dessert martini. It had hazelnut nuts on the rim and was the most delicious drink I've had. My husband had a margarita with tahini salt and pepper flakes. It was gone before the appetizer. Which leads me to the appetizer! I had Kristens focaccia . All restaurants are into honey these days. Not a big honey fan but this was the best I've tasted. It had Parmesan butter with black pepper and balsamic vinaigrette. Together it exploded flavors in my mouth. The complimentary plate they gave was beans with vinaigrette, peppers with small balls of mozzarella. The beans were heavenly. I had the pinwheel lasagna. Huge portion. It was amazing although it had a bit of fresh basil which was not something I was crazed about but it didn't damper the plate. My husband had pork belly. It was caramelized, crunchy and melted in mouth. Brussel sprouts with apricots were fantastic. I can't stop giving compliments again it was delicious. Dessert was good. He has the honey gelato with honeycomb crumbs on top. Not over powering. Perfect size. Ok, maybe more!! I had milk chocolate budino. It had butterscotch in it. It was perfect. Nice cold chocolate with a smooth taste. The restaurant itself is in a section with newer businesses. A complex. Parking was difficult because I believe there was a wedding next building over. The place was packed but not loud. Music was playing but not too loud where you have to shout or pray it stops. Rustic feel. Attentive staff. Great portions too!! 5 star. Can't wait to go back. One of our new favorites.

Most enjoyable experience. Huge, huge fan. Definitely worth the reservation wait. Highly recommend the Refinery Tour (there is A LOT of food on that tour). And yes, those roasted heirloom carrots are a must try and worth the hype. Each entree we tasted was delicious and the presentation was amazing. Impeccable service and waitstaff. They take their time with you. The staff is interested in what you like, and what you're adamantly opposed to. Absolutely beautiful bar and building. We will definitely be back. It was so much fun. So enjoyable.

    Pine nut tart

The best food and drinks around! The short ribs were so tender, the pinwheel lasagna was perfect, and the pine nut tart was a surprise winner. Love Chef Gelso!

We were a party of four on the first night of the soft opening. The food was incredible, service was perfect and the staff is very knowledgeable on every dish. I can't say enough about the food. Each dish was amazing both if flavor and presentation. The atmosphere is fantastic! The Refinery is a hidden gem in the heart of Pittston! Congratulations Chad & Kristen and best of luck to you both in this new venture!

    Chop chop salad

If we could leave 20 stars we would. Our 28th anniversary. We arrived to a card on the table and complimentary champagne and appetizers. The salads were a meal in itself. The chicken and veal parm was out of this world. House made limoncello tasted like mine the service was unreal faith our waitress had someone go out and buy the beer my husband likes unreal. Ambiance 100%. Thank you for an amazing experience. Greg and I are definitely going to regulars

When I lived here, this was my go-to spot for amazing Italian food, warm hospitality, and excellent service, all served up with a dash of that Agolino family magic. (Spoiler alert: nothing has changed, and that's a beautiful thing!) The moment I walked in, I was greeted by Chef Sam Agolino himself, and it felt like running into an old friend. He hasn't aged a day (what's his secret?!). I met up with a buddy--another die-hard PAZZO fan--and we settled in for a night of catching up over some truly mouthwatering dishes. Our server was top-notch, giving us plenty of time to chat and reminisce without feeling rushed. Since I was driving, I didn't indulge in one of PAZZO's famous cocktails, but was happy to see that non-alcoholic beer was available. The menu still had some of my old favorites, which made it impossible to choose (in the best way). We kicked things off with salads and two orders of their legendary meatballs. Let me tell you--those meatballs are something I'd order every time I visited and tonight they were just as I remembered them - perfectly seasoned, tender, and absolutely divine. For the main event, I went with the Vitello Neapolitan: breaded veal and eggplant layered with fresh mozzarella over pasta. The veal was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the pasta perfectly al dente, and the sauce? Chef's kiss perfection. My friend opted for the orecchiette pasta and raved about every bite. By the time dessert rolled around, we were so full we couldn't even think about it. Dinner at PAZZO had me questioning all my life choices--like why I ever left NEPA in the first place. But then I stepped outside into the freezing Pennsylvania air and remembered why I traded snow boots for flip-flops in Florida. Still, great Italian food like this is hard to find down south, and PAZZO makes me miss it every single time. The Agolino family has been a culinary staple in NEPA for decades, and it's easy to see why people keep coming back. Chef Sam, Corinne, and the entire team--thank you for an unforgettable evening! If you're in the area and haven't experienced PAZZO yet, stop reading this and GO. - Would move back to PA (temporarily) for the meatballs.

Food and service are fantastic. You are treated like family and everything is absolutely delicious!read more

We were lucky enough to score a romantic, private booth at Grico's and they were offering their Valentine's menu as far out as Thursday. There was a perfect pace to our meal, and the drinks were noticeablely delicious. The appetizers were flavorful but still light; no heavy breading on the clams casino, really nicely seasoned and the jumbo lump crab cocktail was so fresh I just opted for a squeeze of lemon. The salads were incredible; the croutons on the Caesar were crisp and airy, the toasted pine nuts with the arugula salad added that crunch that some salads are missing. It would have been an epic meal even if it had to end there, but the entrees delivered as well. The massive portion of Seafood Fra Diavolo (shrimp, scallops, calamari and clams in spicy marinara over linguine) had my fiance packing leftovers, and the only reason I didn't finish my meal was to have another crack at this savory peppercorn encrusted bone-in pork shank beauty the next day. Rested on a mushroom brandy cream sauce, with broccoli and oven-roasted crispy seasoned potatoes, every bite smothered in that sauce was delicious. We felt like, for what we got, it was an excellent value and items were appropriately priced; staff were very welcoming and had great, honest and personal recommendations to help us decide between all the great menu options. This is basically seafood-forward Italian dining done right, with top-notch cocktails in an inviting atmosphere...we'll most certainly be back!

The decor was great, the drinks were FANTASTIC, my food was about a 5 out of 10. I had the carbonara. Very oily and not creamy at all. I would have used a different blend of cheeses to make it creamier and less oily. My guess is they used Asiago. Not bad but not as great as I was expecting. My wife had the red beet salad. Shockingly a $20 salad with canned beets on it. Mediocre at best but the canned beets ruined it. If your getting a salad that features a specific vegetable wouldn't you want that vegetable to be the best highlight of the salad? That was the good part. The service I can't even explain. I'm not sure what happened because if it were like this everyday they'd be closed. We walked in downstairs and was told to sit wherever we wanted and then we were forgotten about. The bartender finally came over after my wife was looking her way for 20 minutes. Bartender apologized for forgetting about us. No waitresses anywhere. The AC I think was off because it was cooler outside on a warm muggy PA night than it was inside. The bar was about 3/4 full and there was one table seated and we noticed about 3/4 of the outdoor seating was occupied as well. Not super busy at all. We waited about 20 minutes before we were approached. We ordered water until we could got our menus and reviewed them. Water never came. Someone else came over and asked us about ordering drinks. We ordered drinks and asked about our water. Water never came. Drinks came. Then yet a different person came over a few minutes later to take our food order. We ordered water again since we were planning on drinking more. My wife's appetizer came out, meatballs. Pretty good, similar but somewhat different flavor than my Italian mothers recipe. When the app came out that person finally got us silverware, napkins and our water. Food came a little later. That's described above. During dinner we had to get up to get refills on water and were never offered additional drinks or anything. We finally stopped someone and asked for our check. My wife had to go to the bar to pay the bill. No one ever came back to the table. At one point earlier we were asked who our waitress was and we all looked at each other because 4 or maybe 5 people were at our table at some point but it was like we still couldn't get stuff we needed. My wife paid with a card she had forgotten to activate and it declined. The bartender gave her the slip and the card and never noticed or told her. She realized it at the table. We had to go back to the bar and pay again because after cleaning that one table everyone except the bartender would vanish. Finally we paid, sweating our asses off in a corner table with the most bassy sound system pounding for 2 hours we got out of there and went to a local bar for drinks. I would have loved to have enjoyed this place and loved to have had more drinks because their bar was the highlight of the experience but it was clear they didn't care about us at all. And we were sweating to death.
