I went to 3 other local shops for a quote and no one took care of me the way Freer did. Called the insurance of the person who hit me to get me answers, helped adjust my bumper before I left their lot to make it a bit better for me to drive (without me even asking, might I add). They used Carwise which texted me updates on timeline and estimates. Called me and coordinated with insurance/rental car like no other. My repair ended up taking about a week longer than expected. More damage was found but it was clearly communicated to me that it was possible, and they gave me an update each step. They even had an after hours pick up which worked perfect for my schedule. Left me a card and a beautiful rose (such as kind touch). My car was clean and shiny on the outside (sad it won't last long due to all the snow and salt) with the inside vacuumed and smelling great! We reached out to the dealer and they wanted over $250 for the part I just bought for $20. That was before charging to install! My dad reached out to South Side. He was emailed a detailed quote explaining the steps with a cost breakdown but told this was a maximum. He dropped off the car at the scheduled time. Within two hours it was ready for pickup. The invoice showed that he was not charged for some of the steps. On the way home a warning light came on so he took it back. The problem was immediately recognized and resolved. Communication was great. Their estimate was detailed and indicated a worst-case scenario. They were honest about what was actually done and the final cost was reduced accordingly. The work was done professionally and they immediately handled an issue when it arose. This experience was better than we could have expected.

And this: 179 miles added to my odometer which I reset after thinking it was odd I had to fill up the truck b4 brining it back into them the last time. They did additional work that wasn't authorized by me to do, thus padding the bill!!! What a joke! Lied too, misled and taken advantage of. Never again here! These people have a lot to learn about how to keep customers coming back!
