It wasn't a beautiful antique car I was dropping off at It's Alive...it was a childhood memory. I wanted to bring back to life the simple relics of the 1980s McDonalds playland before the disappear forever in scrap yards. The little carousel that used to be setup at select McDonalds, with the push button placed so far away, you had to run to catch the carousel mid-ride. The original place I wanted to use to restore this did not have room for about 6 months. I had no where to store it so I contacted It's Alive since their facility is enormous. Jeff was able to accept it right away. The carousel took about 5 months to complete. It's Alive took it all apart, checked the motor, media blasted the fiberglass, made small repairs, primed and painted the majority of it. My partner is a professional painter so I had him paint the characters to save some money on labor. I sourced the missing burger topper and missing "M"s, which It's Alive put back. The whole project took some coordination and cost a fortune but it was everything I wanted. I'm really proud of jumping on this whimsical journey and saving something that was special to childrens of the 80s and 90s, before tablets and cell phones. Now I'm hoping they help me sell it at auction in a few years :-) read more

It's Alive Automotive is the best. I commissioned them to perform a Pre Purchase Inspection on a Vintage Porsche back in January. Jeff did an excellent evaluation of the vehicle and identified items that normally would have been missed. The dealer I was purchasing the vehicle from then had them perform the major item of repair that they were unable to perform at their dealership. I have been taking my classic 1969 firebird to Jeff since 2017 for maintenance. But twice I was hit by people both time around 24.000 grand in damage. Jeff and his team fixed and painted twice turned out bieutiful. Any issues I had with it they took care of. I highly recommend this shop. Jeff is a kind man and all staff are vary professional take pride in there work. As a matter of fact I had an issue with today took it there and Jim head mechanic worked on it for about 45 min to fix the issue, I ask Jeff how much i owed him and he don't worrie about it. So I've been dealing with Jeff for several years over unscrupulous billing practices. He seems to think that its acceptable to bill a customer for work that was never authorized or even discussed with Jeff changed his pricing and performed unauthorized or even work discussed with me prior to doing the work. Then he had the nerve to pad his billing , lie to courts about billing and even took possessions of my vehicles at a reduced price and sold them for a higher price. It's mind boggling how this guy thinks that screwing customers is an acceptable business model. Please take my word and get EVERYTHING in writing before dealing with this guy. I have a lawsuit against him coming up for FRAUDULENT business practices Please dont fall for the aw schucks attitude he presents. I have lots of information in verifiable texts and emails to back up my claims ( From employees as well ) Reach out to me , or ask for printed proof of all my claims. Bought a series 2 E type. According to Jeff (it's alive owner) one of the most reliable he'd driven. Since ownership 1.5 years I've put on $60,000 dollars to get the car running. Today was told the left windshield nozzle was glued in place to make it look functional, wasn't connected. Replaced independent rear suspension , exhaust water pump steering rack, new suspension, brakes, Examined rear suspension and differential. Found that the rear hub bearings are definitely bad. Found both rear lower pivot bearings have excessive play. Found all 4 half shaft u-joints are bad. Also found the rear differential is leaking onto the brakes. The rear subframe will have to be removed from the car to repair all of these problems. With the rear out i would also recommend rebuilding the rear calipers, since they will be accessible at this time. When I got the car from Its Alive oil pressure was reading low due to the wrong dipstick in the car, needed 4 quarts of oil The list is endless. Make sure you do a pre purchase inspection and don't trust this shop read more

Went in to look at a car. No one helped me. I just wandered around. I guess my ripped jacket and old jeans did not say $$$. At some point some skinny guy who acted like the manager came over to look at me and asked me what I needed. Kind of a condescending attitude. My response was I don't know I'm just looking. On 12/27/2023, I purchased a 1966 Harley Davidson Sprint 250H motorcycle from Homsher Restoration LLC dba "IT'S ALIVE!", 11714 Saint Charles Rock Road,Bridgeton, MO 63044. The salesman, Mike Dyer, told me that the motorcycle "started right up" but the transmission had seized. I agreed to buy the motorcycle and have the business arrange for shipping. The purchase price was $3,000 which included credit of $300 for shipping. When I received the motorcycle, I discovered that the gas tank itself, the petcock, and the carburetor each leaked seriously. The condenser was fried. There was no spark to the plug and the compression tested only 50 psi. The oil sump was full of extremely gritty sludge and gasoline pollution. In short, the motorcycle had obviously not been operating for a long, long time and certainly was incapable of "starting right up." It requires an estimated $2,500 of repair work to the crankcase and motor. When I contacted the Jeff Homsher, owner of the business, he tried to convince me that his technician had ridden the motorcycle in their parking lot. He said he would verify that and get back to me. He has not gotten back to me and has failed to reply to my repeated emails for a month now. I am 73 years old and my spine and shoulder disabilities kept me from travelling to actually see the motorcycle when I purchased it. I understand that I made the mistake of purchasing this motorcycle in as-is condition, relying on the integrity of the business to represent the true condition of the motorcycle. I am disappointed in the way that Mr. Homsher and his employees misrepresented this motorcycle. I requested that Mr. Homsher offer a partial refund in the amount of $2,000 as the bike is worth an estimated $500 for parts as-is. read more

So I bought a car from here, it needed work no worries.witth the amount of jaguars there i figure dthey could do the work. So I pay tell him i need it gone through , need an oil change and a inspection the window fixed and ac fixed. I tell him lok this cars geting fixed ilm having interior done and paint so if you all can go through it give me a cost and lets get it done. The same guy who sold m ethe car would sen dme text told me it passed inspection just needed bushings, ac and window done, tells me he bird dogging them right now doing the work waiting on a part. yada yada. about 40 days go by. Im fed up i finmd teh part and tell himeim coming to get the car. it was never touched. Has check engine light on , battery gauge jumps every where, no oil pressure at stop lights, at 70 car could shake apat . Window not fixed, ac notfixed no inspection no oil change, nothing but lies from the little weasle. I knew the car needed work wasnt an issue i wanted it fixed, not told it was fixed an dall good, and teh car was owned by one of there ex employees. When i eemal the owner hew tells me it was owned by a minister. really wants me to drivb ethe death trap back up there. Why would i wsste my tiime if i aint getting a refund due to the total misrepresentation of the car. Hell they coiuldnt even put a good battery in the dang thing. on top of this is a jaguar place and this dude even llied about the color. Owner just wants to talk nothing to talk about refund me some cash for the nonsence and teh runaround , the lies about t he car , or get on. I havent had an offer for any cash back. so here. There is probably good reason th only review since 2021 is not a good one. Stay away unless you like being lied to and have your time wasted.
