Ok experience. Great service, friendly team. The food was good and interesting selection. A little on the high end. Kind of a hole in a wall spot, a little in appealing. Interesting.

came here for their opening weekend since they have moved and would like to return. the menu seemed short so I didn't really know what to get. by the time we got there some popular beer options were also sold out so all the more reason to get back. there is a parking to the right of the building, not too many spots but plenty of street parking. they did have outdoor seating in the front, but wanted to take in the inside ambiance. very modern but cozy feel. plenty of seating of booths or table and chairs. also a bar of course. plenty of TVs with a projection on the wall as well for bigger viewing. I do wonder if they will have sound on for big games. as you walk in there is a host who will seat you if you don't want the bar. the service was quick and check in often. I ended up getting one of the sour beers (I forget the name) and I'm sure they switch up their drinks often. for food I ended up with the classic cheeseburger with fantigrossi beef, garlic aioli sauce, and cheddar. it was pretty good and only 6oz where I could've eaten the whole thing or split for left overs. it came with fries which could've been seasoned little more. the boyfriend got the wings with honey buffalo sauce. would like to come back for their brunch menu

Really good! Food and drinks were both awesome. Two fish dishes, beers, and cocktails. Service was great too. All around win!

It was a busy Friday night but they took a reservation on the phone and had a table for us. It was a pretty crowded bar area where our table was- but that's kind of what you expect there! My wife ordered the standard Buffalo wings- despite a full page of wing flavor options. We saw some friends there and they highly recommended the Harbor wings- with a dry rub, or some wings that had a coffee rub on them! I got the Cajun shrimp Po-boy sandwich- a huge roll with Cajun spiced shrimp and crispy lettuce. I didn't finish all that bread but I did polish off the shrimp! We both rated the food and experience at a 4 out of 5. The wings were very good- but since we have been told that these are the best wings in town- my wife didn't think they deserved quite that high of a rating. It was a good experience overall- we will be back and maybe I will try one of those exotic wing flavors like blueberry!

We had to try the harbor spuds since it was a locale thing. My son loved the NE clam Chowder and the wings were amazing. He has eaten a lot of clam chowder from Boston to Maryland and was pleasantly happy with their soup. My hubby wasn't too impressed with his chicken sandwich but he did like the spuds. I would return just to try type of wings.

Where Racism Still Gets a Table Before You Do…read more I want to preface this review by saying that Schooner's has always been a summer staple in my life--even after I moved away more than a decade ago. I've celebrated countless birthdays here, marked life-changing milestones, and shared laughter with my white friends and family. My connection to this place runs deep. My family has also had a longstanding relationship with Shumway Marine, storing our boat there over the winter months for decades. Schooner's was always a place filled with positive memories--until now. During a recent visit with a Black companion, I experienced something that left me shocked, deeply uncomfortable, and frankly, heartbroken. We were visiting from North Carolina and decided to stop in for lunch. When we approached the host stand, the hostesses told us they needed to "check" on table availability. When they returned, they were unexpectedly accompanied by a large, bald white man who appeared to be a bouncer. Without any greeting or explanation, the man immediately asked for our IDs. This was not only inappropriate--it was alarming. We were entering a restaurant, not a nightclub or private club. It quickly became apparent that the staff was looking for any excuse to deny us entry. The man examined our IDs with excessive scrutiny, then began asking a series of pointed, interrogative questions about our visit. The tone was invasive, the questioning uncomfortable, and the message unmistakable: we were being targeted. We were being discriminated against--blatantly and unapologetically--before we could even be seated. Despite the discomfort and shock, we remained composed and chose to stay. As we waited several more minutes to be seated, we watched as the hostesses whispered among themselves and proceeded to seat multiple white parties who had arrived after us--while we continued to stand by, ignored. Eventually, we were shown to a table, joined by two additional guests, and waited patiently for service. Over 30 minutes passed without a single acknowledgment from any server. Staff walked past our table repeatedly--some making direct eye contact, others outright glaring--but no one stopped. Meanwhile, the white patrons around us received friendly, prompt service. When we asked a passing waitress where we could order drinks, she told us she'd be right back to take our order. She never returned. After 45 minutes of being ignored, humiliated, and made to feel wholly unwelcome, we left. The contrast between this visit and every prior experience I've had--with white companions--was undeniable. This wasn't inattentiveness. This was not a misunderstanding. This was a deliberate, targeted pattern of racial discrimination and exclusion. The entire experience left us feeling dehumanized and disrespected. I am not writing this review out of anger, but out of a responsibility to speak honestly. If you value fairness, dignity, and equality, I urge you to reconsider supporting this establishment. What happened to us was unacceptable--and I will never return.

It was a rough night, but again, food was good, and workers were doing their best, but until they get staffing under control for that large venue, maybe pass. -------------- Food: Really good. I'm not a bbq boss, but I enjoyed my 2 meat platter (pork and ribs) and 2 sides (mashed potatoes and veggies). My husband seems to enjoy his pork and chicken platter with a really decent side salad, not just lettuce, but lots of toppings and corn. My 5 yo had the larger bowl of spaghetti known to man. It was messy for everyone, but good. Large portions, decent to share, or take leftovers. Vibe: We decided on the back patio. Very nicely shaded and an over all decent night. Not bad, but honestly, probably best for our family. Seemed very chill, although you could tell groups were getting restless (see next section). Service: First off, I will say all the staff we encountered were very friendly and doing the best they could, however they were severely understaffed (and according to other reviews, this is not a one night happenstance). There was one waitress doing inside restaurant and outside patio, with a trainee who was VERY green, one bar tender handling the drinks and inside bar and tables, and what seemed like one cook. The wait for food was getting really tough with a 5 yo who spent the day at the beach, maybe moments from burning the place down haha, but she held strong. Random: We picked the place because of the bbq and the mahi fish meal. Got there and they said they no longer serve fish. I ordered a Stella draft, they didn't have it. Daughter ordered a milk, they were out.

OK so work on your communication because your other staff told us 30 mins. Wings were just OK. Good smokey flavour but even the XXX Hot wings had 0 heat. Mac and cheese was good but did not need to BBQ sauce on it. Dining room was head-splittingly loud. Needs some kind of sound dampening. Overall not really worth going back.
