This place deserves ALL the stars and then some. The lodge? Massive with plenty of space for our STL/KC crew. It was fully stocked with everything we needed and things we didn't even know we needed. The fire pit is AMAZING. The river was too high to float (thanks Mother Nature) but Bill (the owner) and Chris weren't about to let that kill the vibe. They made sure we had an unforgettable time anyway. Total legends. Chill, hilarious, and just the kind of people you want around a campfire or in your apocalypse survival crew. We're already plotting our return! Froggy's has officially become that place: the one we want to brag about but also gatekeep like our lives depend on it. Rick is a good owner, even refunded our portion of the month we did not use less electricity, which by the way is only $.10/kwh. Yes a dime. That is super. We paid for a month in advance and he calculated us leaving 2 weeks early, deducted our electric, and refunded the rest. That is unheard of in RV parks, but we were glad and thankful he did. Now our Garmin could not locate his address. And RV Parky was showing it to be in the city limits of Rolla. I sent them a correction to the correct location and it is now updated in RV Parky. But I also updated the amenities. They do not have a pool, golf, or any other amenities including fire rings. US 63 runs along side the park, but to tell the truth, we seldom noticed the noise, only if a semi used the jake brake. The dogs loved it as there is a huge, I mean really BIG pet area, not including the yard we had as part of the site. There are some long term rigs there, and they have buddy sites throughout the park. It is 17 miles to town, bit the road is good.

Stop in Rolla, MO or another town off the highway to get any last minute items - this place is off the beaten path. For a full experience, pick up some Piney River Brewing Company beers (brewed nearby - try the Float Trip Ale) before you hit the back roads. Not too far into your float trip you will see a huge rock face bluff. Don't be afraid to stop here for a good long while and post up to enjoy the view. I wish I would have spent an hour here. It's the best view along the entire float. There are a few RV hookups with electric and water but not a ton. Call ahead to make sure you can get one if this is necessary. They offer a few specialty cocktails and a limited selection of wine and beer. The staff is friendly and clearly work hard together. Due to COVID and the off season, the main dining room was closed, but there are a few tables in the shop and snack bar area.
