Upon joining, I was an unhealthy 357 pounds, had low self-confidence, a negative body-image, and, at 31 years old, had already begun feeling the physical effects carrying that much unhealthy weight had on my body including joint and back pain, elevated blood pressure, and sleep apnea. Since then, I have lost 90 pounds, greatly increased my strength and energy, and gained self-confidence along with a more positive body image. We all felt great afterwards and were just the right amount of sore the next day. Huge shout-out to the staff for educating my friend that had never been to Barry's before on how the red room and treadmills work and how the class was set-up with switching from tread to floor to tread to floor... Special kudos to Adi working the smoothie bar who was super sweet and chatty and gave us all kinds of local recs to look into during our visit.
