She was able to figure out a way to get through to them and help me learn how to manage two different personalities, ages (senior & an 8yr old) with one having limited abilities and the other running/jumping/hyper. Issue 1) walking them.. sadie the eight-year-old was very energetic and wanted to run or walk very fast. She tended to pull a lot. Sansa The senior, 12-year-old girl walked slowly and very close to me to where I would keep tripping over her so I needed her to learn space. Kristen admittedly said this was difficult to have two very differing dogs and one person walking both of them especially since I have physical limitations myself with struggling from fibromyalgia. She set up an appointment for us to go to A walking trail and worked with us on that, and additionally another issue Sadie was having. Issue 2) when I would take Sansa and Sadie for walks on the trails that were busy Sadie would often bark and spin in circles when a bike would ride past us. I wanted help with this behavior. Kristen was able to find a way to help subdue her reaction. Issue 3) One of the people we live with is very obnoxious and the dogs bark at him every time he enters the room. They don't do this with any other person. I asked her to come to my home to evaluate the situation. She nailed it right on the head what the problem was. She spoke with this person to give him insight into how his behavior was affecting the dogs. Her ability to get through to not only the dogs, but people as well is amazing! He actually heard her! He is a very difficult person to talk to so I was impressed! She also helped trained us to not reward them when they barked at him (which I didn't realize I was doing by letting them stay on the couch & petting them.) I thought I was calming them, but she pointed out it's rewarding what they're doing. So now I get them off the couch when they bark & treat them when they don't. This helped quite a bit. Not only is she knowledgeable but she is very upbeat and positive. She is very sweet and takes her time with you and the dogs. I highly recommend her and we would hire her again! She took the time to come to the home and listen to all concerns and what you're hoping for. This is great as not all trainers are willing to do that. In two weeks, my dog is walking so well on the leash now our walks are actually enjoyable. Before, I actually had to stop walking him because I could no longer handle him on the leash as he grew larger and stronger. In other ways I will say he is not much changed. He barks at other dogs sometimes still on walks and still is too close in your face when we eat food and some other particulars that I had hoped would change. I recommend their dog training if you have a specific area you want to change like walking on a leash. You will be happy to see a change in that but maybe not a big change in obedience in general.

She is extremely knowledgeable about all things dog training and it shows. I'm so glad we didn't try and teach our dog on our own, it's been a big learning experience for us. Our dog Mishka is fairly sensitive, when we originally started to try one training approach Tierney quickly saw that it wasn't right, and pivoted to a different approach. That's been working great and we have seen such amazing improvements with Mishka since starting training. We can't thank Tierney enough! I adopted my dog and he was extremely nervous. Zero contact with humans since he was born. Only like other dogs. I left him 2 weeks initially but Tierney would tell me that he needs one more week and he ended up being 5 weeks there. I cooked and gave them his homemade food. I provided the food for the whole time there. I was not able to visit him and they brought him back to my house. When I saw him, I was shock. He was in his bones. I could see all this skeleton. She said that he just didn't eat a lot. ...why didn't they call me ? Then, in the house with the handover of my dog, she acted like a Military, basically my dog fear her. I didn't even want to see trick that she showed him" because I could see the dog was suffering only with her presence. She left and I was glad that at least I had my dog back. I had to take him to vet to check and he was in extremely bad health condition. I gave her my dog perfectly healthy. I really regret taking my dog here and I recommend that if your dog is humble and afraid dog, don't take them here. This is not the place for those type of dogs. After this training, he didn't change at all- still bark, still pull and more afraid of people than before .

Heidi with Canefida is amazing!…read more I originally signed up for her class last year a couple months after I adopted my dog Lobo. I was only able to attend the first session before I had to drop out because his neuter surgery got moved up unexpectedly. Fast forward about a year later, we were finally able to come back and complete the training -- and I'm really glad we did. Heidi is very kind, patient, and clearly knows what she's doing. She explains things in a way that actually makes sense and takes the time to help both the dogs and the owners feel comfortable. Lobo absolutely loved her and was always excited to see her. Our class was right after her puppy class, so I got to watch for a few minutes, and she was just as great with the puppies and their owners. You can tell she really cares and wants people to succeed with their dogs. Lobo's review: "she gives directions, I listen, I get rewarded... 10/10 would attend again." Our experience with Ashley and his team has been nothing short of extraordinary- we couldn't be more grateful for the transformation they brought us. For the past year and a half we have been dealing with an anxious/aggressive/fearful dog who brought so much stress and anxiety into our lives. Every time we left the house it was an ordeal. We couldn't go on a walk or anywhere without our dog making a scene with both people and dogs.
