Terrible experience from start to finish. They accommodated me last minute for an evening massage. When I got into the room, the masseuse wouldn't leave to let me change. I asked her "can I change first?" and she just smiled at me, likely a communication error, but very awkward and I ended up having to change in front of her. The massage itself wasn't relaxing at all. She seemed like she had no idea what she was doing and was frantic with her technique all over the place. She used very little oil which made my back start hurting after a while. I felt bad because she was elderly and I didn't want to complain, but I would recommend not to come here if you're looking for a relaxing experience. read more

My husband and I called to make an appointment late in the evening. They were very kind to accommodate us. The massage was very relaxing, when they were massaging my feet I'm sure I fell asleep about five times and each time I tried to play it off haha. Prepare yourself for an asian type setting and not a massage envy spa like setting. My only gripe is when we first soak our feet in water I have the most difficult time keeping my back comfortable. Since finding this place I have gone here multiple times. There has never been a wait and the services offered include deep tissue, Swedish and reflexology. They offer differing lengths of massage and the masseuse will also ask the usual questions about how hard and were you wish to have the massage. The storefront is simple and the rooms are just partitioned off or with cozy sofa areas but it is darkened, there was gentle music playing, and there is a water fountain all making for a relaxing atmosphere. They also offer shorter massages on a chair but the costs per minute goes way down for longer procedures and I suggest at least the hour massage. If you are in the neighborhood and would like to lose some of your stress and make your muscles feel less tight, you should go here. read more

I enjoyed my first massage but would have liked more pressure. The second time I let the gentleman know I wanted more pressure and he accommodated me. Whomever gave this place 5 stars didn't have the lady I had. Worst. Massage. I've. Ever. Had. I wanted to get up after 10 mins but I'm too nice. She slapped oil and rubbed it up and down my back. I came out just now and it was fantastic! I was the only one there besides my brother who didn't want one so I wasn't racked with anxiety. I have chronic illnesses and weak bones. My first concern is always "How much pressure will they use?" I broke a rib turning around so broken bones is my first concern with most things. I forgot to ask for a name, but the man who did my massage wasn't applying too much pressure to hurt me. Instead, it was *just* enough to give me some relief to my body. I am guilty of mostly reading reviews versus ever writing any but after countless amazing massages at FUWA, it's about time I wrote one. After daily training of running and cycling, no matter what pains I am feeling in my legs or feet, after an hour there, I always feel brand new and refreshed. I rarely ever go to fancy spas these days because the quality of massages by every FUWA staff member is just as good and often even better than the $100+ massage. I've been coming here for 3 years and have mostly been happy with their massages. However tonight it was so bad I got up after 20 minutes. I paid her the $10 she asked for and left. I requested an hour table massage for my neck, upper and lower back. They lady who did the massage basically rubbed oil into my skin at lightening speed! I asked her to slow down three times and I don't think she understood me. It was not relaxing or therapeutic at all to have her hands run up and down my back so fast, my skin was actually getting sore, that's when u got up. Beyond fantastic. I visit family nearby and always try and make time to come here. My last visit, I called at 6:15 on Sunday evening, no answer, figured they were done with appts b/c they close at 7, so I did not leave a message. 5 minutes later, phone rings, it's them, how can they help me? I tell them I know they are closing, but can I do 30 minutes if I can be there in 5? No problem. No rush. I got a 30 minute massage, but I think it lasted 40 minutes. My only advice is "buy up" because 30 is great, but 60 would be absolute Nirvana. They are wonderful--excellent reflexology skills...perfect pressure, great water temp, it's really just right. I only wish I 1) lived closer and 2) had more time. One day, I will do 90 minutes---it's a goal! if you are lucky enough to live close, go, get a punch card, and I think your 10th one is free. FuWa had its plus and minuses. I'm comparing this place to other 60 min "foot" massage places that i've visited over the years. Plus: I believe since i'm preggers and can't lay on my stomach, she focused a lot of attention on my feet. She hit every nook and crany and even rubbed down my ankles for a bit. My feet felt wonderful afterwards. She also focused a lot on my arms and seemed to massage all of the the muscle groups on each one. I've never had a masseuse pay that much attention to my arms. Minuses: Didn't really do anything to my hands, not even touch them for real. The head massage left a little to be desired, she did rub my forehead and temples, but didn't touch my actual head, seems like other places do this regularly. I also broke out on my forehead the next day due to whatever lotion they used. she wasn't real good at sensing when she was too rough. I squinced and moved my leg away from her and once she started up again, the pressure was still too hard.. So since I couldn't lay on my stomach, she made me sit up at the end and gave me the harshest and quickest shoulder massage, she didn't touch anything lower than my shoulder, mind you she had already rubbed that part when i was laying down at the beginning of the massage. So that minute shoulder/almost back massage was very painful. All in all, i would go back after I have my baby to see if it would be better, but know that in the end, my feet and arms will feel wonderful, but legs, calves and shoulders will be in pain if i don't ask before hand for her to use waaaayy lighter pressue. Also, i forgot to add, they actually have little screens between each massage chair, so it's like you get your own private space (at least where i was sat) vs a farm of people laying all around you. read more

Great place to go for a relaxing yet low priced massage. They have a few different options from simple to complex, short to long. I did a 60 minute total foot massage. I wanted to like this place, 3 stars for effort. I like DEEP pressure. I could barely feel the woman working on me. I asked for a man, he was much better but still didn't seem to know how to work knots out. If you want deep, ask for male therapist. If you want lighter, ask for female. While traveling and staying in Tucson, I took the time to visit this Massage establishment. Let me say that if you're on a long trip, stopping here will be a refreshing way to spend an hour! It was extremely good! First, there is more to it than just massaging your feet. They place her feet into warm water for a soak while your head and scalp is gently massaged. Then they work on your feet and legs for approximately 40 minutes. Finally, you receive an arm and back massage for approximately 20 more minutes. Whew, was I in dream land!! It is cheap. Only $35 and the owner is amazing as well. He really knows what he is doing. I also wanted to comment on the bed he has for you. It is not a regular massage table. It's much better. More like a large couch that one has at poolside. It's very comfortable and relaxing. I agree with the other comments, this place was bliss and it won't be the last time I go there.
