Managed to snap a pic after my massage
    Samantha W.

We came in for the 1st time 2 days ago. I grew up in Vancouver Canada and have gone to lots of different reflexology places for foot/leg & back/acupressure massages. My husband has been for several in San Jose California. If you have never been to an Asian reflexology place - it is not the same experience and style of massage as an American spa. I do really like these type of reflexology places because they tend to be more firmer in pressure than a typical spa, but of course if you want lighter pressure - you just have to let them know. We both had a 30 min foot/leg hot stone reflexology massage plus a 30 min back massage and I really enjoyed it. During and after the foot/leg massage I felt like I was melting. I wish that my "knots" and stiff muscles were more focused on during the back massage but at the same time I realize thats more work and requires certain training, would probably be a different cost and I didn't specifically ask for that so I can't blame them. I did like that the lady sometimes used pretty good pressure (my muscles are so stiff and I like super firm pressure). I appreciated that they put some relaxing music on since many of the Asian reflexology places I've been to in the past do not play music. I also liked the moist/hot towels used to wipe off the lotion/oil and that the lady checked on me when she put the hot towel on and asked if it was okay by saying "okay?". She also asked if I was okay when she was applying more pressure during the back massage. I thought that was nice. I saw other reviews where someone mentioned that they didn't like having the massage oil/lotion in their hair and the lotion got on their jacket. I guess I can understand that because this was the first time I've had my head and face massaged during a reflexology foot/leg massage. But I really liked the head and face massage. I would recommend taking your jacket off and hanging it somewhere or putting it in the basket they provide for your belongings plus either requesting no head/face massage or just arrive with no makeup or hair product. Just relax and enjoy :) The person that said they had a headache after the head/face massage on their temples. The only thing I could recommend for that is- if the pressure is too hard for you, let them know. Otherwise they won't know. And also drink a lot of water right after your appointment because massage can tend to release toxins from muscles and drinking water helps to flush it out. So the headache may also be a result of dehydration or the toxin release or possibly other things? I personally really liked the temple massage. The lady didn't speak the most clear English but they were both very very nice, sweet, smiley, kind and had a warm friendly vibe. If/when we come back to Tucson, we would come back here

Patricia is good and does great deep tissue work. And Rachel! I definitely recommend her work as well. The Busy Body has top notch therapists. Can't recommend this place enough.

(my regular therapist has been blessed and is off for a while) Finding this place through Yelp was So Easy. They replied within an hour of my inquiry. I was booked for an appointment very quickly. When I first went in to the office I was greeted by the two mascots, Jack and Morgan. Two Very Sweet dogs who were very vocal with their greeting and very happy to have me greet them with scratches and pets. After filling out the questionnaire, Jack was happy to sit with me for a while and get some special scritches and pats of his own while I waited. He was a comforting presence. Ms. Jerri walked in and then directed me to a room where she asked specific questions about my problem areas and left for me to get ready on the massage table. She was Very Thorough with my back, using a muscle scraping technique along the sides of my spine with what felt like her forearm and the side of her hand. There were moments I was tempted to ask her to stop, but she seemed to know and stopped before I said anything. Her work on my legs and feet was nice and very relaxing. I'm pretty sure she used some kind of wash on my feet with a wet, warm towel to clean them afterward. It was an interesting experience. Not at all unpleasant. She also did something I've never had done before. She lightly massaged my face and tapped at my brow and below my eyes on my cheek bones. It was nice because it helped open up my sinuses after being facedown on the table for a while. After the massage, I reassembled my attire, paid and left. The receptionist asked how it was and I smiled and nodded. I am not saying Ms Jerri is Not a good therapist. I Am Saying, It was the first time I was in her care. As I mentioned before I'm used to different techniques and pressures. My only real issue with this massage was that she did not focus on the specific areas I was having the most issues with, which were outlined in the questionnaire. As with any new experience, especially physical treatments, there is a learning period. Sometimes it takes a few sessions to get the treatments established for the client, and I understand that. Would I go back? Yes, if I am unable to see my regular therapist, absolutely.
