My daughter and I went to The Ritz for lunch because I went to high school with the general manager, and I am so glad we did. Our food was amazing. The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly, and every bite was delicious. All of the staff members provided top-notch customer service and were incredibly friendly (special shoutout to Rick, Molly, & Andy) I enjoyed my experience so much that I went back that same evening with a friend, and he loved it too. He even returned a few days later with a group of his own friends. The general manager truly runs a tight ship and it shows in how well everything flows. There is even a little vehicle in the parking lot that will give you a ride to the door, which I thought was such a nice touch. The place is huge, with plenty of TVs for watching sporting events, pool tables, and a nice outdoor area for smokers. The atmosphere is professional yet laid-back and very inviting. It is the perfect spot to bring a group of people for a fun afternoon or evening. The Ritz stays lively any time of day. It is also super close to Hobby Airport, making it a great place to stop for a bite to eat and a drink before or after a flight. Thank you, Ritz, for such a great experience. I have never felt more disrespected than I did tonight. I was with a girl and having dances and suddenly the DJ called her name because another customer had arrived and wanted her with him. She told me that the manager had told the DJ to do that. She quit in the middle of the dance, took my money and went to him. Every girl has the right to choose who to be with but for a club to facilitate such a maneuver when I was buying drinks and paying the girl is something that I find reprehensible. There are lots of other places to go. Next time I will go somewhere that doesn't overtly disrespect me. read more

I love The Ritz. Here is why: All the staff - the managers, bartenders, waitresses, DJs - are all respectful and good people. A rule of thumb is to be respectful and appreciative of the staff and you will get it back in return. Girls can be found in any club, but the infrastructure - the staff - makes it work. The girls - there are always plenty of dancers at any one time, and the variety is good. Yes, there are a lot of Cubans, but I have found many of them to be among the nicest. I wish there were more Asians, but that isn't the fault of the club. Plenty girls of color, and they all tend to be awesome people. No complaints about variety. Remember that you are in Houston where Spanish is a second language. You want all Queen's English corn-fed white girls? I suggest Iowa. Are some pushy? There are a few. But, hey, this is their job and they are trying to make money. It boggles the mind that some people expect to just come in and sit and stare and hardly tip the girls and then get angry that a girl asked if they want to buy a dance. It's. Their. Job. Be mindful - and respectful - of that. Are some rude? Yes. Are some stand-offish? Yes. Some are even shy. Some have had bad days. Some are inexperienced. Some are bored. Some are tired of being treated like crap. Guess what? That's the way people are. Whether it is 10, 20, 30 or 40 girls in the club, there will be a few whose "attitude" you don't like. That's normal. That's life. There will also be many girls there who are great people, can carry on a conversation, and are reasonable and courteous. Tell me where in life is there a place where all the people meet all the best criteria? To the flustered customers, I say, you go try and be a dancer where you are looked down upon and then you have to force yourself to talk to some disgusting, sweaty guy who can't form a sentence and then dance on his lap. Give these girls the benefit of the doubt. It can be a lousy job. And if there is a dancer who is truly annoying; well, they will either find customers who like that sort of thing or they will leave for lack of money. In any case, it doesn't affect you. The club itself - good-sized (and free) parking lot (and you can get a car wash), upstairs VIP is wonderful, TV room, and a very large outdoor patio, multiple stages; many options for viewing. Great daytime buffet, overall great menu, bottles available. Right off 45 and easy to find. The vibe - I have been to a million strip clubs (seriously), and there are those that are true dive bars and those that are blatantly high-class. This is in the sweet spot middle. It is certainly no dive, and it is not pretentious. Again, the staff are great and make this place very comfortable. I always feel welcome here. Daytime and nighttime vibes are a little different. The night can get a little rowdier as one might expect. I tend to be a nighttime person, but having gone during the day a few times, I was impressed - the staff are tremendous, and there were plenty of girls on stages. It almost felt like night. The day does tend to be more chill, but I really liked it. Regulars versus visitors - regular patrons tend to have an advantage as they are known entities. They have their favorite girls and can reserve time with them in advance. The girls know how much money they can get. If I were a dancer, I would absolutely keep my regular customers happy as it's a guarantee. Now for visitors - and I was one once, and I have plenty of friends who have gone only once - it is really not a disadvantage. There are plenty of girls to go around, and if you show hem some stage tips, they will make time for you. But you have to try. They are there to make money, not to make new friends. If you just sit there motionless, you get what you deserve. Prices - very reasonable, whether for drinks, dances, or dinner. The food here is very good. I am not sure what the VIP membership goes for now, but the one-time cost for lifetime access is worth it. I believe you will never pay a cover, and you can go upstairs (which is a great place to hang out; quieter, dedicated bartender, a good view of the stage downstairs). I travel a lot and go to many clubs, and I always end up comparing it to The Ritz. The Ritz is my gold standard. And when I am in Houston, I make it a point to get back to The Ritz because, to me, it is the perfect club. read more

Outside looking in.... The club seems to be up to par. However, it's SUBPAR!! The dancers are old and washed up (even the waitresses are old af!), botched bodies, and barely speak English!! It's always "buy me a drink," "dance?" Or "I *uck for $___" This is truly a mini brothel. My boyfriend and I come one Saturday for "couples night." They offered a small steak, three pieces of shrimp and some nasty fries for $20. Each NON-ALCOHOLIC drink is no less than $8. You MUST get 2 drinks. Upon arriving on Saturday, My boyfriend and I had not been greeted by a waitress yet before two Cubans approached ME and told me to buy them a drink... they never introduced their names, or even asked for ours. I felt that was extremely rude. When my bf finally got comfortable, he asked for one dance from a girl. She kept purposely trying to dance on him for five songs so she can make a quick hundred. BE AWARE!!!!!! Count the songs! They have a complimentary buffet Wednesday through Friday during the day, but by night you'll be on the toilet. My boyfriend and I returned during the day hoping we would see new, different girls. It was the SAME girls there. No refreshening vibes at all. Not to mention the Wednesday night we decided to stay a little after 7... we witnessed a raid!! 6 dancers were taken to jail.... And you know exactly why This club is disgusting. Everytime I go in there, they dancers just walk on by me like I'm not even there, but they sure talk to every other guy in the joint. The Staffing mangers are great. So is the food, but the dancers are shit. A lot of them are modestly attractive at best. Pretty,but far from being supermodels. I came here for my friend birthday party. I had a few drink and my total for my bill was $45 and some change and I tipped the waitress in cash and I wrote down the total which was 45 and some change. And I look at my account. I see $100 was taken out. Instead of the 45 and some change. I highly don't recommend this place. I'm kinda split on this review...here goes anyway. My wife and I stopped in on a Friday night recently. It was our second visit. The first was on a weekday mid-day afternoon ish... This was about six months back. We paid cover. Sat down..had two beers each... after an hour we left. The waitress was awesome. She had been there for over a decade and took care of us. This was my wife's first time at a club. We tipped a few dancers on the stage. No dancers approached us for convo etc... Fast forward to a recent Friday night. We got there about 7. Paid cover and went in wanting a nice drink and some food... and of course some good entertainment :) We sat semi-close to the stage. After about 5 min of nothing, I went to the bar for two drinks :) after about ten minutes, I went back for an order of chips and queso. This time the bartender asked why I had no waitress, and I said... err IDK...lol. He got Diane, and she took care of us for about an hr.. Very good. Like OG waitress there... Ended up handing us off to another very nice waitress. So I guess once your in with your waitress your good. We ordered food and drinks and went to the stage tipping (tipping good) for about 3 hrs... Literally, 0 dancers came up to us during that time... Finally one came up. We chatted for about an hr and a half. Shortly after she realized we were tipping very, very well, she brought in another girl. My wife was blitzed by this time... after many table dances, we had a couples dance in the back and headed out. Paid most both their rents for the month most likely. Don't be shy. We chatted the girls up, and it seems they are sorta iffy about couples and couples with hot women. We just wanna have fun like every other person. :) Talk to us...lol On another note... My wife went to the bathroom as we were leaving. Gone for about 5 min. I was approached by two different women during that time. 3 hrs as a couple and 0... 5 min as single male and 2... Come for the Haloween party. This place is a joke. Packed so full it was impossible to move around. No strippers and no dancing! Waited 40min at the bar to get a drink. Everyone was complaining. Gave up and left. On the way out mamagement asked about our experience - told him we couldnt get a drink after spending $70 on tickets and 40 min at the bar. My fiance and I have been to a strip club only twice before, xtc and g caberet. So far this has been the most enjoyable experience. The drinks are expensive but the cover is worth it. The girls can dance and are attractive. They have pool tables and the atmosphere borders sports bar and dance club. The girls are personable and it doesn't feel sleazy.
