If they are an accredited program, their license should be REVOKED. Although the 2 therapists there, Joy and Yotonya, are awesome, this facility is a MONEY GRAB. You're basically imprisoned in a tiny space, and you spend the majority of your time processing, playing Jenga, cornhole, coloring, and watching TedTalks along with inappropriate movies--I actually saw a man's penis in one of the movies, I KID YOU NOT. Their curriculum doesn't include the essentials: family counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, developmental behavioral therapy, CODA training, and AA/NA lessons. But, the biggest problem is their PHP program DOES NOT HAVE A PROVIDER! Yes, they have a nurse (I don't even think she was an RN) that checks your vitals on a weekly bases, but beyond that, that's the only "partial hospitalization" care the clients receive. "When I asked the nurse about my meds, she responded, "I can't help you with that." I responded, "When can I see the physiatrist, then?" She responded, "I think you do that on your own." Most addicts have a mental health diagnosis in addition to their addiction, and they absolutely need to have their meds. regulated. While the people at The River Source are nice, their programing is no where close to other local PHP programs. simply put: The River Source's program halted my recovery, and I feel they should have their accreditation revoked.

Riversource First…read moreoff, I'd like to state that I have never been someone to complain, let alone take my time to write a negative review. However, I feel it is my responsibility as a victim in this charade to help others stay away from this place. My father was admitted into the facility with the hopes and promises to help him get clean from the number one deadliest synthetic drug on the streets, fentanyl. As a firefighter in the valley, I have firsthand encountered the damage this drug can do and the hold it has on people. My father was admitted with the promise of a 37 day in patient program to help him recover from his addiction. Mind you, prior to his admittance, my fathers insurance was accepted and my mother had to pay her whole out of pocket deductible of $4,850 to "guarantee his success". The first 17 days went great, my mother (25 year Emergency Department nurse) and I were able to visit him and he seemed to be making great improvements. However, on the 18th day my mother received a call from Riversource, telling her that her insurance "probably" would not cover the rest of his stay, so unless she guaranteed them $8000 out of pocket he would be discharged. My mother, dumbfounded, called her insurance; they stated that they never denied the claim and would 100% cover the rest of the stay pending the onsight MD direction . During this time of clarification, Riversource found it appropriate to discharge my father, send him on a shuttle back to Phoenix and claim that my father wouldn't be covered because he was "doing so good and not a life or death situation". Riversource policy states that once a patient leaves they cannot come back without starting the program all over again. Riversource medically detoxed my father, loaded him up on new medications (muscle relaxers, sleep aids, anti anxiety medication and trazodone), doubled him up on his current medications and kicked him to the curb without any follow up instructions. I am SHOCKED with this outcome. I have never witnessed a bigger disgrace and lack of moral ethics in my life, a complete disregard for patient health or safety and a total money grab. My father is not healthy. He is not fixed. This IS a life or death situation and I feel as if Riversource is the root cause of my fathers demise from seeking the help he needs. Shame on you Riversource, your money gouging tactics are the reason my father wasn't able to get the help he seeked, and you might as well have put the needle in his arm yourselves.

Upon arrival, their intake process did not cover anything specific about why she was there or any particular concerns. This was a problem because there were important diet restrictions. Further, the nurse doing the intake seemed incredulous -- responding "you don't believe in anything" -- when my wife answered "no specific religious beliefs." The nurse skipped the "do you feel safe" questions commenting that she would skip those because I (her husband) was in the room. That's exactly why you ask those questions AND YOU DO NOT SKIP THEM. After that, they brought in her dinner, before checking her glucose, which was precisely what led us to the hospital to begin with. When I expressed my concerns with the charge nurse, they came to the room to discuss and indicated that we could always reach them by phone -- a phone they always have with them (though he had inadvertently forgotten it at his desk, so he did not -- in fact -- have it with him). The PT/OT was okay, it was slated for 3 hours a day. But outside of that, my wife could not do any of her own recovery or work -- including walking. So she'd be sitting or lying for the remaining 21 hours in the day. That didn't seem conducive to recovery. We ended up leaving the facility after one night. The facility itself was fairly nice, and a handful of the staff were helpful, but overall it was not a place that I would recommend. I have zero confidence in their ability to provide the level of care expected or desired.

Hands down the best substance abuse program in Arizona. If your teen is using ANY kind altering…read moresubstances (alcohol, marijuana, pills, meth, you name it) it is not ok to stand by and accept it or expect them to grow out of it. Drugs are dangerous and teens need help more than anyone because their brains are still developing. Drugs literally mess up the user's brain chemistry and creates artificial happiness while on the drugs and real depression or anxiety when they don't have the drugs. But with the help of the counselors at ASAP, there is HOPE and real RESULTS. This is not a support group. This is therapy with a treatment plan and education plan that meets teens where they are at on their journey. By meeting 3 times per week, teens can keep making progress towards the ultimate goal - sobriety. ASAP teaches both teens and parents the distinct difference between being clean (clean drug tests) and sobriety (lifestyle change where one chooses to not even put themselves in a position to be near drugs). And speaking of parents, on family night parents and teens are in counseling together, as it's not just a teen problem, but it's a family problem. Drugs affect the entire family, so teens and parents work to improve their relationships, communication, expectations, and building trust again. One of the hardest things for parents is letting their children fall down and get hurt. Through our love, we enable our kids and without knowing it, do more damage. ASAP teaches how to not enable a drug using teen. Again - don't accept drug use as a right of passage. It destroys not just the life of your teen but also the entire family. If your teen is using drugs, call Dr. Walling. You will be saving your teenager's life.

I've received chiropractic care before but never have I received results like I did from this place. First off I will say Dr Jolly and Armando are professional and very friendly. I felt like they were there to help me get pain free and did a great job explaining what needed to be done to get me there. When I walked in I was expecting to get adjusted and walk out like everywhere else has done, so I was surprised when they put me on a machine to test my back strength. They showed me afterwards that my lower back strength was below where someone of my age should be and laid out a plan to strenghten it through stretching and exercise. They also performed dry needling of my hip area which to my surprise almost immediately took away my hip pain. I went in twice a week for a month and stretched and exercised my back and hip. At the end of the month my strength was tested again and I was right where I should be. In that small amount of time my hip flexibility improved and pain was completely gone both from my hip and back. I can't recommend them enough. For anyone experiencing any kind of back pain I would say run, don't walk here. That's if you can of course
