Was staying down the street and ordered takeout from this place since we had a large group. If you are six or less, they have limited indoor seating. Ordered the margherita pizza, philly cheesesteak, burger and salad. Even though we got there a little early to pick up our food, the pizza had already cooled down as they were putting our order together. Pizza is slightly bigger than a personal size and needed more basil sprinkled on. My cheesesteak was ok, but still prefer the hoagie roll. read more

My family and I are new to the east coast (we live in upstate ny) and have been having a hard time finding GOOD food. We had amazing food here today and had no complaints. Great fried chicken sandwich, shrimp tacos, bbq chicken pizza & margarita pizza. The shrimp tacos were some of the best I've ever had, and I really didn't want them because they were fried. Came here for lunch on 11/11/16 after spending the morning at the Shaker Village. From the area and the outside, it didnt appear like it was going to be much of anything worth writing about. BUT I am pleasantly wrong:) Interior was clean and spacious and the big windows offered a lot of natural light. We were just wanting something small since we had plans for a fancy dinner later in the evening. We both got their Maple whiskey martini thing, which was really really good! Hubs got a burger and fries and I got a turkey wrap and fries. The fries were served in these super cute mini fry baskets and were soooo good. Love it when they leave the skin on! The turkey wrap had what appeared to be freshly carved turkey on it, was so yummy. only very tiny complaint, not even really complaint. It had a bit too much of the turkey in it for me. Inattentive and in-personable "bartender", obviously not hired for her "customer service talents", refused OUTRIGHT to even make eye contact, nevermind provide professional service. I ordered a sandwich, came out wrong, no big deal, right? Wow, the attitude l was served when I requested a new sandwich! Then, the sand which was severed new (20 mins later) with the fries this "bartender" left from the previous attempt. You can't imagine the ATTITUDE when I remarked about a hot sandwich served with cold fries! Wow, I'm sorry miss 22 year old, I guess I'm just a bother to request a hot meal. We have eaten here before when we passed through town, and our return trip last night was also very good. Inside looks nice, but when it is crowded it gets very loud, so we opted to sit outside. The outdoor seating is great, spread out so you're not on top of each other, and fenced so you can't really even notice the road noise. Their food is good, though a little hit or miss. In the past, I've had their pasta and it had been amazing. Last night I opted for the Meatball Bomber (sandwich) and while it was good, I wouldn't order it again. It had too much arugula and was just okay. However the fries were top notch! Another member of my party had the Chicken Marsala special, and while it was good and had nice flavors, it was a bit oily. The last member of my party got a pizza, and man that pizza was great. Definitely worth it. Definitely give this place a go! read more

A couple of friends and I met halfway between our towns for lunch which is how we chose this restaurant. The food itself was fine. We shared garlic knots to start, which were good, and I got a roast beef sandwich (I would have liked fries/a regular side to come with it instead of chips for the price I paid). My friends enjoyed their meals well enough. However, the restaurant itself was too warm and, more importantly, the service was incredibly slow. Luckily my group was not in a rush, but we waited for our food for a really long time. Our waitress gave me a small cup of water and never came back to see if I needed more (hint: I really did). She never really came back to check on us at all, in fact. It was frustrating. It's a small place and it was not busy. I wouldn't bother to return. read more

They were way understaffed for the volume of business and so the wait for ordering/getting refills was long but it was a result of too little staff not in attention. While vacationing in the Berkshires my fiancé and I relied completely on Yelp for insight on restaurants. There is not a lot around where we are staying and we are completely new to the area. We were in need of a good meal after 4 hours of hiking earlier in the day and Yelp pointed out Roasted Garlic. When approaching the restaurant it looks unremarkable but has nice signage and a banner that touts the best outdoor seating in the area. We peaked at the outdoor seating, behind a tall wooden fence and under triangle canopies were black metal tables and a bottle of bug spray. It looked nice enough but we already had a few mosquito bites on us from the hike earlier and happily sat inside. The restaurant is cozy but not tightly packed. Open and warm with a modern feel that pays tribute to antiques. This includes an old timey looking train that goes around the entire restaurant. Servers were warm and friendly but a bit rushed- even abrupt at times. For example, water was quickly refilled but glasses were slammed on the table after filling. We ordered the head of roasted garlic and buffalo style potato chips as appetizers. The fresh fried potato chips came out hot with flakey salt. Some chips were crispy others more chewy. We opted for the buffalo style which included a blue cheese dip with buffalo wing sauce mixed in. It was a great appetizer especially if you're enjoying a beer. The roasted garlic was sweet and garlicky with sweet and slightly acidic roasted cherry tomatoes. Grilled crusty bread drizzled with olive oil was perfect to smear the garlic and cherry tomatoes onto. I believe each appetizer was around $8. We also decided to order drink specials. My fiancé got the Roasted Garlic Martini and said it was strong and tasty. I ordered the Thyme Lemonade and was disappointed. It tasted like vodka. Not very good vodka at that. It didn't taste like lemonade was added only a bit of soda water. The redeeming aspect of the alcoholic drinks were that they were only $7.50 each! We are used to mixed drinks being around $10-14 so these- even if disappointing- were a great deal. We would definitely give their drinks another try. Maybe the bar tender had an off night. For main meals my fiancé ordered the Roasted Garlic Pizza. The crust was scorched black by the wood oven in areas, well cooked with mozzarella, ricotta, roasted garlic cloves and arugula. The pizza was very good. I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana with pappardelle pasta. It came with a salad. I chose their house dressing of white balsamic vinaigrette. The salad was fresh and the dressing very flavorful. The eggplant was one of the best I've had. Slices of eggplant crispy without any bitterness piled and covered in a bit of sauce and mozzarella. The pappardelle was cooked just slightly over al dente with a fresh and delicious tomato sauce. We really enjoyed our meal a great deal and agreed this was the best restaurant we had tried in the area so far. We would definitely return. However, here are a few things to keep in mind. Service was slow. Everyone was getting their food late. Our meal took around 2 hours because we had to wait so long for food. We saw one table who were seated well before us that didn't receive their main course until we were half way through our appetizers which took forever to get out. Between this and the horrible drink I knocked off a star. Also, too many TVs. Keep a few TVs at the bar but this nicely decorated restaurant had at least 6 TVs. It's just too much in this little place. The restaurant's vibe didn't seem to fit in with so many TVs. Pro tip- they seem to have specials on certain (or maybe all) days of the week. Monday's are currently burger specials. For $6 you get their house made potato chips and a choice of about 7 burgers. Upgrade to French fries for an additional $2. Awesome deal! read more

Pretty good restaurant for the middle of nowhere. The place is very clean and neat with plenty of screens to watch any live sporting events. The garlic knots and pizza was very good because the gravy was perfectly seasoned. The Philly Cheesesteak was small and not quite the same as an authentic cheesesteak. Fish and chips were very good except for the small portion. I would stop here again and try something different. The pizza is a good choice however. read more

Kind of shocking to find this place, a high end wood-fired-oven-pizza and gourmet bar food place, where it is; it's not just that it's Pittsfield, it's that the restaurant is surrounded (pretty literally) by a boat dealership and looks like it ought to be a grindhouse, or at least a road house. The signature roasted garlic appetizer was excellent; small portion with only four slices of toasted bread/baguette, but a whole garlic and a nice little plate of tomatoes, with elegant presentation. The salad was decent, not extraordinary, but was mercifully free of iceberg butts. Nice white balsamic vinaigrette. We tried a mediterranean veggie white pizza with arugula, which is hard to pull of, but the arugula topping was braised just enough. The standard cheese pizza was nice, and the quesadilla and italian standard dishes were good. Serving salsa and sour cream in little plastic cups, though, seemed odd and downscale compared to the food. Everything pretty much ran in the $9-$12 range - appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, pizzas, with the steaks on the high side of $20. Service was peppy on a busy night, and management was present without being intrusive. The food came out reasonably quickly (but not suspiciously so) and in the right order on a hopping night. All signs of a well-run place. That said, here's why I nearly gave it a three-star review: the layout of this place is really bad, and combined with the ceilings, it is extremely loud. You have to take stairs to get up (and go through to get out to the deck), and there are odd risers around the edge. The spacing of the tables is such we kept getting bumped by both other patrons and by the staff (who need to be trained not to do this). This space obviously had to have been another retail establishment of some sort before, and the build out just wasn't done quite right. The ambiance was distracting from an otherwise lovely experience. The boat dealership is another kind of distraction -- there's boats all around the lot, and there aren't enough parking spots dedicated to the restaurant, but if you park in a certain area you run the risk of the boatyard gates being closed on your car. That said, any place that has a train going around the top gets the bonus star from the kids, so voila. read more

Truly delicious! We started with a roasted head of garlic with roasted tomatoes and toasted bread (had to order extra). My husband ordered BBQ chicken pizza; my kids a cheese pizza; and I an arugula, fresh berries (strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry), and fried goat cheese salad. It was definitely one of the best salads of my life. No leftovers for us! We visited on a Monday night (contrary to its Yelp listing, it is open on Monday), and they offered margarita and sangria specials. It's a few miles from Hancock Shaker Village. Considering we're you are, geographically, it's surprisingly modern with an open concept. 4 massive flat screen TVs which creates unnecessary noise but great for game viewers. Decent beer choices. Love everything we have had there and also order pizzas to bring home when not eating in. We go there often. In the summer there is nice outdoor dining on the deck. We were there the other night when my husband was in the mood for a burger that was very good. They are also known for the Italian food. (They also own Mario's in New Leb). The pizzas are great and done in a wood fired oven. We had tried many pizzas from other places and no longer do. We think they have the best pizzas we have had in the Berkshires. They are closed on Tuesdays. They do not take reservations, but if you get there before the big dinner rush, you can usually get seated right away. read more
