Was on a long bike ride with friends today & it was suggested to eat here. NOT EVER again. 4 of us crammed into a small table. We ordered chicken wings & chips with the dip it came with. Wings came with a side order of a fly. For our main meal, there was a cob salad, a chicken sandwich, a lg. pizza & a small pizza. Pizzas were semi flat. Cob salad could of been way more presentable..........crispy chicken sandwich ( was ordered with lettuce, Tom, onion, pickles & mayo on the side ) Came with no onion, no mayo. We had to flag her down for the remaining items. Took a bite of my sandwich & it was semi warm, had a funny flavor to it as well. I asked my other 1/2 to try it & he said "hum". It had a flavor of sitting in a brine for way too long. Plus the coating didn't stay on the chicken. Also we ordered some sodas & she came around to ask if we wanted anymore & I said no to mine & she brought it anyway in a dirty glass, it had white stuff down the side of it. I do not recommend this place. Up to you but I can say this, my stomach is not liking what is in it. After paying $100.00 for 4 people, make me even sicker. I hate eating at places that don't give the standard of food. Our waitress......forgetful, with no apology for the fly. But she did ask if we wanted another order of wings?? Are you kidding me?? This is a classic example of a place that hasnt decided whether they want to be a bar or a restaraunt. Ate there in early september. Dirty bathrooms. Flies in the dining area (which surrounds the bar). Even made us pay for a soda refill ! Beyond insulting. To the chef's credit, much of the food tasted good but WATCH OUT for the calamari. Without warning on the menu, it is tossed in something rediculously spicy (inedible) and i am not shy about spice because normally i add tabasco. And not just our serving...the neighboring table too. I wanted to love this place because it is in my new neighborhood. But the food was not worth the cost or the wait. The pasta and sauce were the sort of boxed stuff you you make in your kitchen when you don't have time. I am vegetarian and ordered an eggplant Parmesan. Instead, I received a chicken Parmesan. I sent it back and another long wait again, the right dish was delivered, with the old reheated pasta. My boyfriend ordered the half chicken and we were told twice that it would take a half an hour, would that be OK? Yes, of course. Thanks for asking. After a half an hour the chicken arrived and it was hardly a half a chicken. It was a few chicken parts that looked very much reheated for a few minutes. With a beer and a glass of wine and a (small) tip, it came to $71. I will spend it at Elizabeth's next time. Learned my lesson. Oh, one more special detail: for the mixed order, we got a discount of $1 on the final bill :) That is what your return is worth to them. Not happening. read more

My god this place is amazing. Orgasms in your mouth on all menu items. The house salad with white balsamic vinaigrette is to die for, add chicken for a light lunch. The BASEBALL SIRLION served with seasonal veggies and a onion cream sauce and the PAPPARDELLE BOLOGNESE :Hearty veal and beef ragu over fresh pasta are always killer. I go here almost everyday that I work in Pittsfield. The space is perfect, plenty of seating. A cute little train that runs around the wall of the restaurant. I have never been dissapointed. When you find a gem like this place it resonates in your heart and belly. I'll always think of the serotonin induced highs I get from eating here, the dopeamin induced food comas that I enjoy so much every afternoon. The food was excellent. I had the roasted garlic bulb, pork sliders, and the black bean burger with garlic aioli. My offspring had the pasta pomodoro and the pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich. All the food was delicious. I will say that the food took a longer time than expected, but our waitress was so nice, and our company so delightful, that we didn't really care. I ordered a to go lunch yesterday and thought I would treat myself. I ordered the chicken francaise with gluten free pasta and went to pick it up. With the tip, my lunch was $27.00. Pricey? Yes. But it was a beautiful sunny day in the Berkshires and I wanted to celebrate. Bottom line is that it was awful! The pasta was brown and had a disgusting maple flavor. The chicken tasted awful too. It is a shame that the view from the fabulous bay windows isn't better because this restaurant is a real gem. We just happened upon it and we were swept in by the "stone fired pizza" sign. The service was prompt, the restaurant was very clean, and the decorations were beautiful. I especially loved the train that makes its way along the upper walls. Immediately I was impressed that the beer list, although not extensive, still had some desirable spirits for one whom is less inclined towards light beers. The menu is not large, but neither is the restaurant. It's a bit more expensive than the average Joe would hope, but the quality is well worth the price. The appetizer that was ordered arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. A nice twist on home made chips, with a thicker cut and a lovely sauce for dipping. Perfect. A large veggie pizza was ordered as an entree and it was delicious. One could tell that the vegetables were very fresh, and and they were perfectly proportioned, and to top it off, the pizza was cooked to perfection, the dough was great, and the sauce just as tastey as all of the other ingredients. When I arrived for my take out order, they handed me my pizza and said my calamari would be out in a minute. 10 minutes later, my pizza was no longer hot, but worse, neither was the calamari! Was the calamari sitting, ready to go, in the kitchen, while I waited? Kitchen should be able to have both things ready at the same time. If you know calamari, you know it can't be re-heated; had to throw it away. What a waste of time, money and poor calamari :( The pizza was probably very good hot, but I'll never know. Extremely accommodating!!! After hiking near the restaurant we wanted to stop for lunch but we had our dog with us. We saw online that The Roasted Garlic had outdoor dining so drove by and noticed not only did they have a patio they had seating right out front away from all of the other customers. I asked the hostess if we could sit out front and eat since we had the dog. I was willing to do a takeout order but the hostess said she would have a waitress serve us. I totally understand not everyone loves dogs especially having them at a restaurant so to have the option not to be near the other customers was so relaxing. Our waitress was incredibly delightful and was so sweet to our Rosie. The food was delicious and my lavender lemonade was spectacular!!! This restaurant is obviously well managed and it shows in every aspect of our experience. Thank you for the wonderful experience!!! We will absolutely be returning!! read more

Tried this place for the first time after a hike not far from here. We called and ordered for pickup. I was incredibly disappointed. I ordered the arugula & berry salad and added chicken. The salad was supposed to come with seasonal berries, warm pecan encrusted goat cheese with white balsamic dressing. The salad I got was arugula and strawberries only. The dressing was bland and they totally missed the pecan encrusted goat cheese. Unfortunately, since we got it to go, we didn't open it and look until we got home. Maybe salads just aren't their thing, but I feel like a salad is hard to get wrong. I'd give them another shot for pizza, maybe. read more

I really really like this place. I'm here on business and it is hard to find a good meal, when you come from saturated North Jersey. You can eat anything you want anytime, so the bar can be a little unrealistic for a small town like Pittsfield. I had the grilled salmon. It came with seasonal sides of roasted corn and fingerling potatoes with rock salt. I ate every bit. The dinner salad with the house white balsamic was lovely. We dined at Roasted Garlic Saturday, June 20 after having not been there in a long time and was disappointed with the experience. I had fish and chips, my wife had the berry salad and a hamburger with sweet potato fries. My fish was tasty but a small portion for the 21.95 price. The berry salad did not have many berries on it and the burger was good. Our biggest disappointment was watching customers walk around without masks on and there was one of the wait staff who had her mask down under her chin while interacting with customers. We are not prudes by any stretch, but we were concerned for the business owners who could have been shut down for not following the protocol about wearing masks . The employees should be setting the example on wearing the masks and enforcing the rules. I understand that wearing the masks is a burden and uncomfortable at the very least, but this is what we ALL have to endure till the pandemic has been declared over. This will probably be the last time we patronize Roasted Garlic till this pandemic has passed over. read more

Most kitchen staff wore masks on their necks. I saw one with a mask but his nose was not covered. The same with the bar tender. Nose was never covered. We asked out waitress about kitchen staff not wearing masks and she said they should be. So she told them to put their mask on and he did. That lasted about 5 minutes.
