We'd been hiking waterfalls all day and we were starving so we just kind of ended up at 51 Park Restaurant and Tavern in Lee and I'm really glad we did. We got the truffle fries right away and honestly they were so good, you could smell the parmesan as soon as they came out and they didn't last long at all. Amy got the mashed potato pizza and she liked that a lot. Rick did pepperoni and said it was good, normal pepperoni pizza but wood fired so that nice crust thing. Kevin got pork belly and mushroom pizza and kept saying it was his favorite, it did look really good. I got the crab BLT and it was huge like actually huge, they really do not hold back on the bacon and the chips on the side were warm and we were all just kind of picking at them. Was in the area for a getaway weekend with the hubby and it was late, we had just got to town and needed somewhere to eat. Stopped at the local Liquor store and he recommended this place. Ordered a few things. Was feeling like I was coming down with a cold so wanted soup. Hubby always wants a burger so we did that too. The place is super cool and we kinda wished we had ate there. So ordered on the app and it gave us a time of 40 mins to pick up, never been there so I assumed this was valid. So we went to the hotel, dropped off our stuff, checked in & then went back only to find out the order had been ready for 30 mins. The woman at the counter was like "We thought you werent coming" I already knew what that would mean... YEP, All the food was cold - and trying to make fries hot again in the hotel microwave sucked. The soup I tried to heat it but it just made it mushier. The taste & flavors of everything was DELICIOUS... Just wish the ordering process from the app was a little more accurate, and Im sure its no fault of the restaurant as it was a 3rd party app... But be mindful if you are ordering online! Driving through this part of Massachusetts, we found this great tavern. We sat at the bar for drinks and food. We started with mushroom wood-fired pizza; it was good and had a unique flavor. Then I tried the steak tips; they were flavorful, tender, and juicy. And my BF had the burger; he said it was good but not the best. They had good pour-on drinks and priced reasonably. Starting with the positive- this is a cool restaurant, feels very historic, homey and welcoming. Came here for dinner with my family for dinner on our recent vacation out in the Berkshires. They have a good cocktail and wine menu, loved the orange wine they had. Food was classic comfort food with some elevated touches. We had the pretzel to start which was yummy, I had the kale and Brussels sprouts Caesar salad which was good, but croutons were a little stale. Best food was my husband's peach and burrata pizza which was a wonderful combination and not too heavy. The bad now- service was spotty. Our waitress was very sweet, but did not check on us for quite some time and when she did she realized our entrees were very delayed (had been waiting about 45 minutes since the appetizer). She apologized, said the kitchen was very backed up. She checked again, still no meals, our kids were very tired and hungry. She offered to have the meals put in to go boxes, but kids really wanted to eat. Finally a manager came out with the food, comped the pizza, and stated the ticket had somehow been completely lost by the kitchen (so not the original story of a backed up kitchen). My husband had the crab cake BLT. We ate inside the restaurant. They have six foot glass door panels separating some of the tables in the area we ate in. There is also outdoor porch seating. Read the fun history of the building on the back page of the menu. The location in Lee was very convenient as we had a big road trip from Connecticut to Central New York. Lee is so close to the Mass turnpike and this place is much better than any rest area or national chain restaurants. We called it a "date" within our road trip. read more

Located in the beautiful town of Lee, Massachusetts, there is a 12 seat bar and a few high tops in the bar area, and two large, sunny dining rooms on the ground floor, and another dining area on the second floor along with two large outdoor seating areas. The menu has all of the standard pub type foods except they are taken to a higher level than most similar restaurants. Being by myself, I sat at the bar where the bartender Amy efficiently and happily juggled all of her duties including serving all of the other waitstaff needs, and her own gaggle of bar attendees. I had the Turkey Club Wrap that included plenty of bacon, avocado, aioli, and a healthy amount of turkey. I also chose to have their homemade potato chips. Both the wrap and the chips were excellent. Their signature cocktail list was extensive and unique. I had two of the Garden Party libations along with an IPA draught beer. The cost came in lower than expected. Myself and my twin 12-year-olds were staying in the area at the beginning of June and had dinner here on our last night, a Thursday. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The menu has a lot of appealing options. One of my boys, a lover of sushi, decided on the Ahi Tuna. He was quite disappointed, but I think it was more about his expectations, as we have had similar tuna at other places that we loved. The presentation was beautiful. He said he should have known to have a burger or sandwich since that is their specialty. My other son chose the Smashed Chicken sandwich with fries and I got the Crab Cake BLT with fries. We both cut our sandwiches in half and ate half of each. They were both very delicious and we cleaned our plates. The service was good. Our waitress wasn't fazed by my moody preteen. My boys went to the bathroom upstairs and saw more tables on that level. They said it was a nicer space and quieter than the downstairs around the bar, but I believe that area is only for groups. Highly recommend! My husband and I stopped in to break up our trip home from Upstate New York on a Sunday at 7pm. There was a 40 min wait but we were lucky to score seats at the bar immediately. I ordered the short rib, served with sautéed spinach, mashed potatoes and gravy. Everything was delicious. The short ribs were so tender! The serving size was perfect. My husband got the 51 burger and he raved about how good it was. He also got the French onion soup which has a great cheesy top. The appetizers were amazing. Our favorite dish we got here was the Brussel sprouts 5/5 so delicious. The teriyaki wings were pretty good as well 4.5/5. The hot apple cider was delicious so crisp! The entrees were pretty good however both were lacking some flavor. The caprese pizza was good however a little bland 3.5/5 and the cheesesteak stromboli was also missing some flavor 3.5/5. Oh yeah, two bottles of a Hefeweizen brew. Then on to the pizza. 14" with Capicola "hot ham", jalapeño's will be fresh cut, as will the mushrooms, this all matters to me, and roasted red peppers. Great flavor pie! The dough is a bit like a flat bread, so I wasn't a huge fan, but by no means would it keep me from getting another. What I could see of the interior was nice. She sat me in an area that made me feel like I was in an old England phone booth, kinda! lol. Nice place, good food so far, waitstaff I had were pleasant and knowledgeable. I ordered takeout tonight and I called to let them know I was missing a topping. I was told that I would be refunded the price of the topping ($1.50) off my next order, which rubbed me the wrong way so I left a 3 star review. BUT I received a call from Dari (I apologize if I got her name wrong, the voicemail isn't the clearest) within the hour clarifying their policy which is to comp the entree, not the topping which is infinitely better than the price of the topping. I love to see that kind of above and beyond customer service. Sadly, fewer and fewer people can afford to eat out, and when a restaurant does the most they can to make sure the customer feels that their money was well spent, it goes a long way. Thank you to Dari and the host for doing his best (I once spilled red wine all over a white dress as a waiter, mistakes happen). Then I got the BBQ Chicken Stromboli - could have used a bit more BBQ sauce, but overall it was perfectly cooked and tasted great!! Our waitress was also very good; attentive and timely throughout. This is a large and sprawling place, which has a second floor, the building was built between 1823 and 1826. It was very busy here when we arrived for lunch, which was not surprising considering the ambiance, and the kitchen aromas provided a positive omen for the food to be served. Our prompt and pleasant waitress, Chelsea, was attentive and helpful throughout our meal. Our party of three ordered: 2 - Roasted Root Salads with Shallot Vinaigrette 1 - Fig & Goat Salad with Panko Encrusted Goat Cheese and Red Wine Vinaigrette 1 - Caprese Wood Fired Pizza (to share) The Fig & Goat Salad resulted in a very positive review; the goat cheese was excellent. Th Roasted Root salads were good, but the dressing was much too strong. The Caprese Wood Fired Pizza was a thin crust pizza shared by our hungry group and was deemed to be excellent.
