Hugely disappointed. Two stars for ample parking (a rarity in Pittsfield), our server, and KENO. Menu looked right up our alley. Had nachos to start and the Hudpucker Smashburger. Wanted to keep it simple and at its core competency. Nachos were dry, luke warm and had huge strips of romaine lettuce - like salad size (there's irony coming up). 2oz soufflé cups of sour cream and jarred salsa were our only refuge. Made a huge mistake and got the steak add on. Cold, stringy steak-um type product thrown on the top in one large lump. Their smashburger is not a thin smashed patty that may come to your mind. It's a standard 6oz pre-form that they call "smash" as an excuse to put a steak weight on it and cook it beyond recognition. The brioche bun is "fake brioche." Has the outer look, but is super dry and tasteless. The irony was I ordered and paid for a side salad. It came in a tiny soup cup and in it had the shredded lettuce and pico I would expect on the nachos. Just really was hopeful. I could see a good vibe at times in there if you're under 25yrs old. Otherwise, the atmosphere offered little to off-set the meal. read more

I really like this place. The service was very friendly. The space has a classic pub feel. They have a big menu and everything looks good. All of my favorites, from burgers to sandwiches. This place was excellent! Far exceeded my expectations. They may be slightly short staffed and or were having an off night because they were a tad slammed. But otherwise we really enjoyed our meal and highly recommend the fries and wings. They did such a good job with the wings we were shocked frankly. And our server was excellent too! One downside of visiting the Berkshires is finding places to eat on Mondays & Tuesdays since so many restaurants are closed! Found this place and was more than thrilled to come in and try their offerings. Mickey was our waitress and she was friendly and outgoing and accommodating. We dove into 10 of their 'steamed and then fried' chicken wings and these were just downright delicious. Had an amazing crisp crunch when you bit into them and we actually had to order a second batch. I also got one of their smashburgers and it came out with a side of French fries. This was one of best freshly made hamburgers I've had in a long damned time! Beers were nice and cold, Truly on tap too (for those who like that) and I think I'm in a food coma for the rest of the day. I would absolutely come back here next time I'm up in the Berkshires. The wings were subpar at best. I ordered via grub hub and I paid for two sauces that were not included in my bag. The fries were soggy. When I walked in people stared at me as if they never saw a black woman in their lives. Lol. There was no sense of urgency. For the food to be late AND not have everything I ordered, is crazy. My friend and I are on a quest for the best burger. We heard that Hudpuckers had one of the best burgers in town. He got the regular size and I got the smashburger. The quality of the meat is excellent. You can really taste the beef. Tastes like a really good old school chuck burger. The meat tasted like it was fresh, not frozen. That's a big deal these days. The prices are right! The service did not meet the quality of the food though. The server was just going through the motions...first we didn't get silverware.... My friend couldn't stir his coffee. The milk was served in a strange container and spilled all over the table lol. I asked for an iced tea with lemon and I got an iced tea, no lemon. I asked for extra pickles on my burger and I got one tiny round pickle. It's the basic stuff. The good news is all they have to do is fix the service and they have a winner there. Nice bar and simple seating area gets the job done. read more

Wish I could say better about this establishment, I understand that they are new. But there were way to many wrongs to make right. Food selection was minimal and mediocre, the restaurant ambience gives off a dingy vibe in need of a good renovation. The lack of attention and detail by their staff is disappointing. Sorry Hudpuckers will revisit once you are open a few more months to work out the kinks and if things change for the better I will update this review. read more

I am a foodie kind of guy, and I love the pub food. This place has a great menu, a great environment, and a great staff...but the food, wow....absolutely outstanding! It is more than apparent to me they take food seriously. The attention to detail using fresh ingredients and ensuring your food is served hot, is worthy of applause. I had a burger, and because of a 1/2 price appetizer special, some wings and ribs as well. Everything was cooked to perfection. The burger was cooked to order, the wings were crispy, and the ribs were fall of the bone. You can't get better than this. There are places that I have been that serve "ok" food, and miss the mark due to little things that annoy me. Old celery with your wings, warm/cold food due to sitting there waiting to be served, and inattentive staff. Not this place, it was all perfect. I love my wings. I love a crisp outside and a meat that will not snap back in your face when you eat it. these were perfect, and trust me, in my decades of eating wings, this is a glowing review. The sauce selection is not the 50 variety type thing, but the choices they have are popular and will cover the main tastes. The ribs, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. Bravo! We were a table of 4 and were greeted upon entry, sat immediately, and were waited on throughout the meal by a very nice waitress. Even the owner (we assumed, "Justin") came out to ensure we were satisfied with our meal, and a resounding "YES" came from the collective group. The entire table had nothing bad to say, and they are a tough audience. So thank you Justin, and thank you Hudpuckers, for making my trip to Massachusetts memorable. I wish I lived closer (I am in southern Connecticut), but now have a place to gather when I go visit my brother in the area. read more

I am not reviewing the food or service. this is a review of the management. My friend and I had dinner there this evening and I told the waitress one ticket. we both had the same burger that came with bacon on it. my friend does not eat pork and asked to have it removed from his burger. he asked to have the bacon put on my burger instead. the waitress told us the would eliminate the bacon from his burger but would not put the bacon on my burger unless I wanted to pay for extra bacon. I asked why and she said because then I would have extra. bacon. I explained the bacon was paid for with his burger and unless they planned to discount his burger then we are paying for it. she said they would not do this. but she said she would ask anyway. they did not put the bacon on my burger and we will never go back to Hudruckers again. this is unfortunate because we just discovered the restaurant and it is less than five minutes walking from our new home. we could have had a good relationship with a restaurant this close all summer long. they do not know what customer service is. we did not tip the waitress, not for her service but for her attitude about simply adding the removed bacon from one burger to the other. read more
