    Mulligatawny soup

Love the look of this rustic restaurant. We went for a late lunch on a Tuesday and there were several people there. We ordered their mulligatawny soup (delicious). I had the classic burger. It was cooked just right and the soft bun was amazing. The hubby ordered the black diamond burger. He thought it was OK but wouldn't order it again. The onion rings were soft and kind of coming apart. What I loved the most was their spiced pear cosmopolitan, served in a stainless steel martini glass. Delicious! Service was friendly.

Did not have a good experience. My husband and I came on a busy night with no reservations. We waited about 5 minutes at the door with a slew of other people and never saw a hostess. So we decided to sit at the bar for food and drinks, all good. I asked for a drink menu and the bartender laughed. I took it to be like "how dare you ask for something complicated on a busy night". We ordered our drinks and they tasted good so there's a positive. We did plan to order food but weren't offered food menus for about 15 minutes despite trying to catch the gentleman's attention. At that point, we decided not to eat, pay our tab and leave. Other tables seemed to have similar experiences as I saw someone get up from their table to ask for menus after waiting for a while. Seemed like poor planning with staffing as it was a weekend and there was a concert at Mass MOCA. Would not return.

    French onion soup

Not from town. Something just kept telling me to come here and I was right. French onion soup was good. Very herby. But I absolutely loved the Hawaiian chicken sandwich. Was blackened, which is my favorite. Swiss pineapple, teriyaki, AND BACON!!! 10 out of 10. Also very cute , rustic vibes.

We did get there slightly before 5pm which allowed us a quieter atmosphere for the first part of our meal. We ordered the mushroom and fennel sausage flat bread for an appetizer. It was amazingly flavorful and had super fresh mozzarella. We also both had a cup of the cold pea soup. It was thick and creamy and had a beautiful presentation. For our main meal, my husband ordered the salmon. He said that everything was cooked perfectly and it was quite flavorful. I had the public burger and truffle fries. The burger was juicy and huge! The fries were nicely seasoned. The service was great, as well. Our waitress was attentive and the manager came by and spoke with us, as well. Don't miss this place if you're looking for a delicious meal!

We had meatballs, fries, bread, and pasta arrabiata con pancetta. The meatballs @13.95 are a bargain for three large meatballs. Regrettably, they were cold and oversalted. The pasta arrabiata was soupy and underwhelming. Just too many things going on. The sauce was too loose and the flavors did not blend well. Almost no pancetta. The highlights of the meal were very good bread and butter and the fries, which are reliably very good (if you get them while hot). But to pay $55.00 pre tip and all one can say is that the bread and fries were good is a tad problematic.

Literally every venture is a waste of my money and I suppose a punishment to my wallet is what I deserve for continuing to contribute to a business that I don't support. However, one of their only high lights that lead me to this dead sports bar is the fact that they are open before 4:00 p.m. Now that COVID came to town, people don't go to lunch anymore apparently according to businesses. If you want bland fried food for an average price, you will most certainly get what you're looking for. They don't season their baskets of fries, onion rings or pickles (when they had them). Literally plain batter. I did get a side of chipotle aioli and it was in fact, Mayo mixed with some chipotle sauce... not the bomb aioli's that I have had at other local places. The drinks are always over priced. I don't quite consider Stoli that top shelf for $8.00 vodka drinks. Nor a captain and coke $8.00 but maybe that's just me living in the past. Most of their pints are over priced. The wells are $6 which is fine but I don't know what they keep in their well because any time I have ever asked for a drink, it's always $8.00. I guess I need to inquire about the Burnett's special? I had an $8 draft mango craft which was fine, fun but had I known I could have nearly bought a six pack for one pour, I would have gone for an old fashion White Claw.. if they had it. Don't bother asking for a cider. They have none on draft and the two that were available were Stella for those who love mouth puckering artificial sweetness and some craft one that the bar tender had no idea what end of dryness/sweetness it was. The can of spoke of Juniper tones so I passed. I literally hate this place and am only giving it two stars instead of one because I'm the fool that continually agrees to go back to this over priced dump. The staff leave little to be desired typically. I won't judge today because restaurants don't staff accordingly anymore but the lack of personality and knowledge of product astounds me. Be better... go anywhere else.

I had the New York strip with lobster. Unfortunately the steak was a bit dry and tough (I oredered it medium). But the lobster was great, served in a little bowl already peeled with butter and ready to eat! It seems my meal may have been sitting for a while. Way too much mashed potatoes and green beans! I could barely cut the steak because the plate was so full. The hubby ordered the mussel puttanesca which he LOVED. The sauce was delicious and it was nice and hot. For dessert we had the brownie with chocolate ice-cream. Brownie was nice and warm. Server was friendly. Their bar has limited options so don't expect anything too fancy!

Apparently the heating system was not functioning. We ordered a bottled domestic beer and a specialty cocktail. My beer was opened and the entire neck overflowed into the coaster. Despite 2 ounces being spilled I was not offered a fresh beer. The wet bottled was not wiped down and with no napkins, drops fell with my first few sips. The specialty cosmo had a substitute vodka as the bar was out of the particular flavored vodka listed in the menu. Despite these initials concerns we ordered food. I asked the server about specials and she replied with two portions of prime rib. Later come to hear there was no prime rib due to the facility issue mentioned earlier. My friend seemed pleased with the French onion soup. My burger was lacking in flavor, the main topping, mushrooms, and overcooked. This was a surprising result as the server asked twice if I wanted medium pink. Hopefully the small steps of service ans food will warm up!
