***WARNING*** DO NOT DINE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE NICKLED AND…read moreDIME On 30 January 2026, I dined-in as a first-time patron at this establishment. I ordered Scarlet Knight, Fried Mushrooms and French Dip, which overall was good. The problem occurred when I reviewed my invoice and I notice a "Convenience Fee Convenience" of $1.30 unbeknownst me. I informed the waitress that I paying with a debit card versus a credit card so the charge should me removed. The waitress informed the manager in the back and he stated, "that's how we've done and we can't remove the fee. I educated the waitress/manager by law, it's illegal to (1) charge a patron the fee that are using a debit card, (2) the service fee was NOT disclosed or brief to me prior to service and (3) the restaurant doesn't have any signs or language indicating that all patrons will be charged a "convenience fee". The manager was very dismissive and "matter of factly" towards my grievance. This grievance is not solely for me but to protect and advocate for ALL patrons that opt to dine at the establishment. SOLUTION: 1. Create a sign regarding a, "Auto Convenience Fee Charge for ALL Credit Cards" 2. Place a label on ALL menus so patron understand the hidden charge prior to service being render. In turn, the patron have the option to proceed, leave the establish or visit the nearest ATM for cash. 3. Brief all employees to provide a disclaimer to all patrons so their options or rights are taken away. I will be reporting the company to BBB for illegal business practice for forcing patrons to pay a fee that are not required for debit cardholders link: www.verabank.com Search: Convenience Fee

I wish I could explain some of the bad reviews, but I can't (well, perhaps I could but we'll keep…read moreit civil. Being turned away because the place is popular is not a reason to give 1 star.) This is not luxury roof-top dining on the island... this is American pub comfort food... and it is GREAT for what it is. We've been there at least 10 times with only one item that was mildly disappointing. the pot pies, sandwiches, burgers. All great. Even the steak and fish. Their country fried chicken and mashed potatoes is the ultimate comfort food. I don't often order alcohol, but I love their light, crisp house ale and get it every time.Compared to most places now-a-days, the prices are good. I feel sorry for the reviewer who thought the Cracker Barrel across the street was better... they are somewhat similar, but OAH has more variety and is much better.

I was solo and sat at the bar as the restaurant was full and that was the only option for a walk-in. However the seating was nice, service was outstanding and super fast. I asked for recommendations and was happy I listened to my waiter. I had the She Crab soup and honestly, it was the best I have ever tasted. It was more like a bisque and super tasty and rich and had lots of crab. I would put this recipe in the She Crab Hall of Fame it was that good. I then ordered the blackened Carolina Redfish and holy moly this dish was devine. It was a chargrilled blackened redfish over super smooth whipped potatoes, generous portion of lump crab, and just the perfect amount of citrus beurre blanc (note I deleted the spinach on my dish) and it was one of the best fish preparation I have ever had. I simply can't believe how delicate and soft and tasty this dish was. Unreal preparation and flavor that I would gladly order again and again. I really don't visit this part of the country that often, but this place will definitely be calling be back very soon.

Tonight was fantastic. We had dinner at 6 pm. The place was almost full. We finished at 8 and it is still packed!! Very impressive to be so busy. I ordered salmon... rare.. because I like it undercooked and hate it overcooked. This place cooked it to perfection just as I asked. That is rare. Richard ordered the seafood stew. He ate every morsel... included wreckfish, shrimp, scallops... he loves a good scallop... and these were tasty and cooked perfectly. We highly recommend this restaurant. Our waitress, Mary, was very informative and professional. Quite a wonderful meal.
