The Bamboo Bar is a fun place to hangout all times of the year. So many good memories here. This was one of the few times I got dinner here and it was quite tasty. For a busy Friday, service was quick and friendly. We had some fried pickles to start, and they were ok... needed a little more breading. My Buffalo chicken wrap was very good. They forgot my garlic rolls but the manager was very nice and respectful in making sure I was taken care of because of the mishap. Many years ago this was a regular spot for us. It's changed hands numerous times. Tonight was our first visit in almost 10 years. Doesn't look like it's been updated since our last visit. It was a Friday night and the restaurant wasn't that busy. The bamboo bar outback was busy however. The menu was basically the same menu since the first time we went years ago. The menu is tired and needs an upgrade. We started with the bbq chicken dip, our old favorite. The portion is now much smaller than the past and it wasn't as good as it used to be. My wife ordered the tortellini salad, a past favorite. Not so much anymore, she wasn't thrilled. My daughter had lounge fries and enjoyed them. I had Reuben. I had to ask for more dressing as it was fairly dry. An odd thing was that the bread was incredibly salty. I don't know what that was all about, so I didn't eat the bread. So I have been to Cranberry 4 times. I have been to North Park Lounge/Bamboo Bar 5 times. I think that says enough on it's own. They have great happy hour specials both for food and for drinks. The NPL you can only get happy hour at the bar so just a heads up there. This most resent time was started at NPL for dinner. They had specials posted as you walk in which I took note of. $3 Miller Light Drafts so that was my drinks at NPL. We had a large party but had no probably getting a table. Once seated we started with apps. We got 2 flavors of wings, Nachos, and the NPL Giant Pretzel. Food came out pretty quick and wow that pretzel really if giant. Nice a soft with all the dipping options one would need. The Nachos were good. Each chip covered well with toppings. As long as you do that nachos are always good for me. I will say the best appetizer though had to the be wings. They were great. Nice big crispy wings cooked perfectly. Would be my go to next time for sure. As we were snacking on the apps our waitress made sure to keep checking in on us for drinks which was nice. What can I say keep the $3 beers coming. For my entrée I was having a hard time since there were a lot of sandwich options that all sounded very good but after talking to the waitress I had to go with the Turkey Bacon Swiss Pretzel. I mean who can you say no to a pretzel bun that is warm an fresh. This sandwich was great. It all went together so well and the pretzel bun was the real game changer. I also comes with honey mustard for dipping which was also never nice and I will say I very much enjoyed their honey mustard too. Lastly the fries. They are freshly cut and fried to perfection. After dinner we went over to Bamboo Bar. The Penguins game happened to be on which means more drink specials. $3.75 22oz Coors Lights when they are playing you can't beat it. When I visit Cranberry I love to stop here because I love the chicken salad. It is a perfect blend and the fries and ranch make it over the top! You can't get fries on your salad outside of Pittsburgh and they do it right! My husband always gets the fish sandwich and he is always happy with it. I didn't realize the size of their outside bar area, would love to check that out but this review is for eating inside. Their food is pretty standard bar fare with the standout continuing to be their lounge fries which are fresh cut with a great mix of cheese and bacon bits. And their homemade ranch dressing is top notch. I find their wings to be overpriced, even though they are decently sized. They are a bit skimpy on their sauces but the celery was abundant and fresh. The service was great from our main server, the hostess and the rest of the staff that stopped at our table. And while their prices aren't outlandish, the fact that they charge a surcharge for using a credit card is dumb, just bake it into your pricing. read more

They have plenty of outside seating including a patio and ground seating so there isn't a bad seat anywhere. They also have a sand lot for volley ball. The food was good. Typically I will come here with friends and family for the dine-in eating and throughly enjoy the food. But, tonight my sister and I got takeout from here and we're very disappointed. I got the chicken tender meal with lounge locker sauce. The chicken was dry and tough, almost as if it was leftovers from yesterday reheated, and the Lou he lockers sauce was very mild and lacking the usual spice. The only somewhat redeeming thing was the lounge fries, they almost needed to be cut up with a knife to eat but once we mixed them up in their container they were still tasty. Came here for lunch with a few friends and ordered a bunch of appetizers. We got the Lounge Fries, which are cheese fries smothered in hot cheese and bacon. They were delicious! There was enough cheese and bacon on the dish that you got the full flavor with every bite. On the side, they give you home made ranch, which is an excellent compliment to the fries. We also ordered the BBQ chicken dip. It is quite unique, considering most restaurants have Buffalo Chicken Dip, and it was actually pretty good. I'm not a huge barbeque fan, but I found myself going back for more. Lastly, we ordered Buffalo Chicken Flatbread and Bacon Chicken Ranch Flatbread. Both were good, nothing amazing or completely different from what I've had at other restaurants. Overall, the food was good and the portions are plenty, I definitely recommend getting the Lounge Fries. Our waitress was great and very friendly. What a night. We went to Bamboo Bar for my dads 60th and a security dude freaked out over a bottle of booze we gave him and kicked us out. Highly aggressive and unprofessional. We put the bottle in the car when he asked and then the dude got so upset he threw a beach chair and kicked us out. When we told him that was ridiculous he threatened to call the cops. My dad is a regular at this place. It's one of his favorite bars and some dude with an ego was allowed to kick him out over nothing. First thing is this place is NOT a fancy schmancy place. This is a local bar drinks and eats place. The inside has tons of tv's a large bar in the restaurant and a tiki bar out back. The food is classic American style bar food (think burgers, fries, pizzas, and sandwiches). They also have larger entrees (pasta, fish, pork and chicken). We recently went for lunch during the week. It's seat yourself and we chose a booth in the main dining area. The server was prompt with drinks and very helpful. I got the fish sandwich and my husband got the fried chicken sandwich. The fish sandwich was very flavorful although difficult to eat. After attempting to eat the sandwich and failed, I opted for using a fork and knife which worked better. The chicken sandwich was really good. Perfectly crispy and also very flavorful. The fries are really good. They appear to be fresh cut and they are cooked perfectly. All in all, this place is a great little spot for some casual food. We'll go back and visit the tiki bar another time as it looks like it would be fun. read more

My family was I. The neighborhood on a Sunday morning and decided we would stop for brunch. There used to be a North Park Clubhouse near us and we loved their brunch(this was many years ago). We were hoping for a similar experience. Service was pretty good for a buffet. Waitress was very attentive and visible. Location of the buffet was awkward. Due to the layout you could only access food from one side of the chafing dish thus causing a long line when it wasn't needed. Offerings included a chocolate fountain, sausage/bacon, eggs, breakfast potatoes, tater tots, stuffed shells, chicken of some sort, ham, beef, omelette, pancakes, and waffles. Food was pretty good, not excellent but not bad either. Drinks were not included which was somewhat bizarre. Buffet was 14.00 for adults (ages 10+) but no drinks. Orange juice in a rocks glass was almost 3.00 so just be prepared for glorified up charges. Based on what you get for the price point, I'd probably look elsewhere before returning. read more

We stopped in here for an early dinner, and I thought this place was excellent. Now, we are talking mammoth portions here, Foodies. My nephew ordered a giant fish sandwich that certainly kicked sand in the face of all the other fish sandwiches on the beach.
