Coworker suggested this place as a must try so we went together to try it. The staff was nice, the service was fast, and the food truck looked clean. But that's about all I can say about the good. The roll that I got seemed ok. The filling was extremely lacking and at 13.95 for two it was not the best bang for your buck. Seemed very bloated with vegetables without a lot of protein which was part of what I ordered. Even the coworker we went with said it was not as good as it was before. Could be just a bad data point but I was not impressed.

My office is close to this food truck and I was craving Indian so I tried it. This is my review after visiting this place for two times. The staff is great but the food isn't. 1. Pav bhaji was good, but the quantity for the price is too low. 2. The egg in the roll is over cooked, making it rubbery. 3. Chicken isn't cooked well. 4. Food quantity for the price is low. 4. Chili paneer was sweet. Gave two stars because of the nice staff, pav bhaji and Chana masala. I wouldn't recommend this place and wouldn't come back again.

Gem! This is super close to work and I can't be more thankful! Love walking over to the truck and grabbing a roll pod or two every week. I've tried their aloo gobhi, paneer masala and chana masala roll pods and every one of them has been super satisfying and yum! The service is quick and they pack all orders in a togo box! I find that the single pod is in itself fulfilling and enough for a meal! They also have carrot halwa for dessert which can be skipped as it isn't the freshest that I've tried!

If you have never tried them then you are missing out! Please try them - the rolls or the rice bowl or the combo (to get the best of both worlds) and you will never regret it! We love their chicken rice bowl (honestly tastes like biryani) or even their chicken rolls.. their chutneys are just so awesome! Love it.. was lucky to find them right outside Ounces in West Seattle on a Tuesday night! wish there was a way to track their food truck so I could attend to my hunger cravings..will definitely keep coming back for more and more..

I like this food truck and go there to grab lunch sometimes. I love their Paneer Rolls - they are delicious and fulfilling. I've also had Paneer Roll and Pav Bhaji conbo and it was good too. I also like that we can place order online on azzle.com and then just go to pick it up. The only thing I don't like is even their medium spicy level is spicy. I generally go for 4 stars at other restaurants but found 3 stars to be spicy here.

#1 Roll Pod: one chicken, one mushroom. Mango Lassi drink too

Lunch time dilemma, what do I eat? My lunch options are getting lame around where I work. How far do I want to walk is another factor. So I just walked down to Westlake Park to see what's up with the food truck scene there. Saw The Roll Pod truck, looked at their menu and a roti roll sounded good to me. I decided to get the "#1 Roll Pod" which is basically 2 roti rolls, you get to choose which filling you want: chicken, mushroom or paneer. I decided one chicken, one mushroom. It's pretty good sized, nicely prepared up, roti roll seems to be fresh as it was hot, nicely grilled up, kind of like a tortilla or a thicker crepe. The chicken filling was good, a little spicy and flavorful. The mushroom filling was my favorite, it was very flavorful, good amount of mushrooms, a little spicy, it goes well with the salad mix inside of the roti. I think I saw they mad mutton as a filling as well but I think that's a $1 more. Got me a Mango Lassi drank to wash it down and help kick that spiciness in my mouth, that was perfect accompaniment to my lunch. The menu has other combos for lighter lunches, roti roll & rice bowl, salad combo, you'll see it when you read the menu. Staff was friendly, took a few minutes or so to fix up your lunch order, prices are pretty standard for food trucks. Definitely will keep them on my radar to see when they come back to Westlake Park again.

What a wholesome meal! The rice pod has everything from rice to gravy to chutneys to paneer to salad to deliciousness!! Flexible pod combos - loved that! It was like a multi-cuisine (Indian Paneer Masala and Asian Paneer Chilli) experience in one meal - generous portions too! And their serving is so tidy and organised. A food truck delivering this experience deserves a 5-star!

    #2 chicken rice pod

Tried this place for lunch and thought it was pretty good. It's a popular food truck so there is a bit of a wait unless you order ahead, in which I did :) I ordered the #2 chicken rice podand it was ready by the time I got there so that was nice. The dish came with rice, chicken in some kind of chutney sauce and another sauce I'm not sure of, some veggies, rice and two piece of fried egg. It was definitely a lot of food so a great deal for lunch. The chicken was tender and I like the sauce, it reminded me of the butter chicken dish you get at Indian restaurants. The egg was ok, a little bland so I added some salt and dip it in the sauce as well. Everything went well together and it has a balance. I wasn't a fan of the rice but that's because im picky about my rice so I'm not gonna deduct points on that. It was loose like whole grain rice and kind of light, not heavy or sticky like Asian rice. Overall, the food was good, price is reasonable, and service was fast.

Pav bhaji and veggie roll, awesome food!

These guys are awesome! My fiancé and I stumbled upon them on yelp and were so excited to see them in SLU. It was a dreary day and the lines were long so we knew it was good- the free chai was awesome to keep me warm in the rain, it wasn't overly sweet and it was cozy! He got the pav bahji which was delicious and I had two rolls- delicious with the egg and fillings- I think the aloo gobi mattar was better than the chicken but both were delicious. We ended up eating the food right on the side of the road we were so hungry and excited to eat it! On a day like that we might consider ordering ahead online so we can pick up rather than wait with all the other hungry lunch-ers. Today we went out in the pouring rain- we really loved the food yesterday so we wanted it again! There was no line this time and the food came quickly and was again delicious! We both got lassis this time and they were creamy and delicious- you could really taste the thick yogurt. We asked about dinner, they said they want to open a storefront soon, we will be there when they do! Great food, big portions, reasonable prices. Thanks roll pod for a great lunch!

    1. Roll Pod (1 mushroom masala, 1 chana masala)

When the roll pod rolls through, I'd recommend stopping by! The roll pod (2 rolls) is reasonably priced ($12) for a flavorful meal that hits the spot. I got the chana masala and mushroom masala, which were both fantastically spiced. I appreciate that there are a lot of veggies and components that pull the whole roll together. I got a 3/5 spice level, which was perfectly spicy without needing to gulp down gallons of ice water. Overall 5/5 - would definitely roll through again

Woah! SO good! I was not expecting much out of this at first, but after my first bite I was left speechless. I ordered the paneer roll (2) where the paneer was juicy with perfect amount of spices and heat. I got two rolls and by the time I was 2 bites into the second roll, I was feeling pretty full! Parathas were not soggy, it was all fresh and put together. They had free chai for customers, however, when I got there around 12:45, it was already out, which would have been great addition to the chilly day.

I have ordered the roll combination a couple of times and this time I had the Aloo Gobi and Aloo Roll. Aloo Roll is super yum which is what I usually order. It was on the spicy side with some cut jalapeños in it along with a green chutney. Aloo gobi rolls are usually never available/sold out before I can get to these. This time I was lucky ;) and now they are my new favorites! I would suggest going with medium spicy and taking some of the chutney boxes they have to adjust the spice level for you. Good place for a quick bite! Bon appetit!

When you arrive parking can be a bit difficult, there is a small parking lot out front, if that's full you'll need to find street park. The restaurant itself feels warm, casual, and bustling. Queen you walk in you have the option to sit on the backyard patio or in the dining room. We opted to sit in the dining room as it just felt more intimate and the vibe we were wanting for dinner. For our appetizer, we started with the Samosas (Two crispy pastries filled with your choice of freshly mixed vegetables or delicately spiced lean ground beef) which were excellent. Next we ordered the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken. The naan and samosas showed up piping hot but the chicken tikka masala & butter chicken were cold. I probably should have said something as I was disappointed but was too hungry to care at that moment. If I'm in the Seattle area I may stop by Taste of India again.

We were really hungry and decided to join them as I've had this spot saved too as the reviews were pretty positive. They were definitely very popular but we were put on the waitlist but I think it would be helpful if they took peoples' numbers as apparently they would just shout it outside. We weren't aware as we went somewhere else to wait as it was very cold. When we arrived, a different employee started cleaning a table for us and we waited but then the employee who did put us down was frustrated with us as he called us and no one of us answered cause we were elsewhere. We weren't sure if we had a spot after that but luckily the employee who was cleaning was done and offered that spot. They also did drop a glass cup after cleaning nearby which was concerning but they did clean it up right away. Once we were seated, it took almost a half an hour to get some to take our order. Luckily we did get our water refilled decently but there were a few times where our empty glasses were seen and ignored. I definitely think there should be staff training as it was non-existent. I understand being busy but you're across the convention center so it should be expected. The music was also so low I didn't know it was even on, they have a loud fan going on and even their TVs have no volume. It's a pretty awkward ambiance, especially with how they try to look like they are a upscale restaurant. It did take some time to get food and it seems like the kitchen was frustrated too as I heard the bell signaling food being ready several times. The food was actually good, especially for the price. The portions are generous. We never had paratha but our friend recommended it so we got the aloo paratha while my boyfriend got their butter masala and I got their tikka masala extra hot. It wasn't really spicy at all, definitely nothing like what I've had at other Indian restaurants. The curries were flavorful with good pieces of chicken. We might return if we need something nearby but there are definitely better options that I would walk for.

Parking lot is tiny, so may be a challenge, but we happened into a spot which may or may not have belonged to the neighboring business. Would definitely return....assuming I could find parking.

But Indian-Nepali Kitchen is one of Seattle's most sought-after spots for affordable eats. But don't sleep on the rest of INK's broad menu of South Asian fare -- The Infatuation magazine even considers it to be one of the best restaurants in the city, full stop. INK shares a strip mall with a bodega and nail salon. Black cushioned chairs are pressed up to lacquered wood tables, and the tan walls are decorated with an assortment of cultural tchotchkes. Bollywood music videos play on the main dining room's single flatscreen, while images of Nepali mountain ranges flash on the screen in the accessory dining room. My partner and I dined at INK for weekday dinner on our drive up to the North Cascades, and we had the dining room to ourselves. Only a handful of takeout patrons rolled through during our visit. We kicked off our meal with the Mixed Appetizer. The Vegetable Pakora component was a consensus hit. The rich, crispy bites functioned well on their own and were fun conduits for the fragrant mint sauce and the tart tamarind sauce. In comparison, the samosas were forgettable, sporting overwhelmingly thick shells and hit-or-miss fillings. Of the three varieties, only the earthy ground lamb was worth finishing. Next, we tried the Combo Momo platter. Admittedly, the signature momos were surprisingly mediocre. Across the varieties, the wonton-like Fried Momo was the clear winner with its exciting texture without overpowering the delicate filling flavor. Meanwhile, the standard steamed momos tasted like something out of the frozen section, the Chili Momos were dominated by fast-food-quality sweet-and-sour sauce, and the Sandheko Momos had an unassuming, generally savory curry flavor (which was far outdone by the tangy side of house chutney). For our entree, we were very impressed by the Butter Curry Lamb. The thick curry broth was vibrant and dynamic; we sipped it by the spoonful. The tough lamb felt like an afterthought. The Garlic Basil Bread wasn't particularly basil-y, but the naan slices were pillowy, flaky, and addictively buttery. To drink, we shared an Iced Chai. The tea was more spiced than sweet; the average Starbucks patron might turn their nose up to it, but the light drink was a welcome contrast to the dense entrees. For dessert, we opted for the Gulab Jamun: the ping pong-sized cheese balls were deceptively dense, each packing a rich, syrupy punch. The service was quick and efficient, and our bill worked out to about $75 (after tax and tip). The flavors topped out at very good, but never quite achieved greatness. The portions were generous -- we probably could have done without the momos and still had a satisfyingly hearty meal. For a no-frills meal that will, at a minimum, be tasty, INK is a safe bet.
