In my ever growing quest to consume new restaurants in the Seattle area, I decided to stop by Seoul bowl for a lunch. I've walked past a bunch on the weekends but never when it was open. At around 12:30 there was a decent sized crowd, mostly at the ramen station, so we went straight for the Korean rice bowl area where there were only two people in line. We were quickly helped, and I ordered a chicken bowl with everything. The workers were efficient and generous with building the bowl and I was excited to try. At the time there were not a ton of people eating in person, and the seating area appeared quite cozy and comfortable, but we opted to take it to go. When finally eating, I started with the potato/raisin dish which was great. Everything else was equally good. One caveat being, despite getting the sauce that claimed to be very spicy, the spice level was basically non existent (only coming from the jalapeños). But that did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the food! And it was enough for two meals for me. I'll definitely be back, especially to try their fried chicken! read more

GOOD! Seoul bowl is always my good to place for quick chipotle inspired place. Their prices are good for the amount of things you can get in your bowl. Theres plenty of sitting in the store and street parking around the area. Would highly recommend for a good picnic meal on a nice day. read more

I've heard lots of good things about Seoul Bowl and finally got the chance to try them out when they had their food truck at The Taste! My fiancé has been dying to try them for awhile and we're so happy that they did not disappoint. Staff was friendly and they cranked out food quickly which is a hard task at big foodie events. We got a mini bulgogi kimchi rice bowl and it was sooo good. The bulgogi was tender and packed full of flavor and the kimchi was DELICIOUS. I could've had an order of just the kimchi and been fine! We also loved the spicy sauce they drizzle on the bowl as well. Definitely a new favorite food truck option that will be hard to avoid if we ever come across them in Seattle! read more

Just had my first Seoul bowl at UW's fall fling event (from their food truck). It was freaking delicious. Like I'm sitting here thinking about getting another one because it was so good. Even though it's just a bowl with bbq chicken and rice and toppings and sauce - all the ingredients were really delicious individually and combined together. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted very fresh. This restaurant caters to to- go style which is nice when you're looking to take out. We decided to eat there. I got the spicy pork bowl. It was super flavorful with lots of toppings. I really enjoyed the bowl and the portion was huge! I had to take half home. I did ask for water, but unfortunately they did not have any cups of water and you had to buy water bottle. Korean food is one of my favorite types of ethnic food and I LOVED Seoul Bowl so much. You can fill your bowl up with your favorite rice and protein - I chose bulgogi with the white rice. I also chose all of the toppings to go on top and it was covered in a yum-yum style sauce. Some of the toppings included kimchi, cucumber kimchi, corn, sweet potato mash, squash, pickled radish and kale. They were great and I'd get it the exact same way. This was a nice spot on a very warm spring day. It is quite simple to order but there are a lot of choices. You choose your base first, glass noodles, rice, etc them your toppings and sides. A good hearty portion yet not too much. Since it was hot, we ordered a Sprite and a Korean sake to drink with it. They have indoor seating but sitting outside in the Cafe chairs and table was more fun to eat in the great weather and watch people pass by. I highly recommend for a meal before or after hitting the pubs along the same street. The one man show behind the counter also gets this review a star on his own...he was polite attentive helpful and efficient. All by himself and not stressed out or angry at having to serve customers. I was impressed. I went because I Dave's hot chicken was a long line so I decided to go here. First red flag is they took forever to give out my order even tho there wasn't many people. I got the chicken and the chicken was purple and it was like a Russian roulette because one piece would be good and the other would be like a jelly texture. It was nasty!! Don't recommended and the Pepsi weren't good they were in cans. It was overpriced too 17 dollars for food I didn't even like. Don't go! The food has a weird texture like fats and jelly disgusting!!! Sticky tables and annoyed staff makes for a perfect unwelcoming experience. My bulgogi bowl was a flavorless, hygiene raised red flags: ungloved hands and a grimy grill left a burnt aftertaste. Even the side menus were soggy, greasy mess. I paid $18 for it, but if I can I'd pay additional $18 to not go through this experience again. To start off, they were out of a lot of things when we arrived and still had an hour and a half left before closing. So it could be possible that we could have had a more delicious experience if there was a wider variety of topics to choose from. We tried the Korean bulgogi bowl and all in all weren't super impressed. They packed plenty of rice and meat at the bottom and covered the top with some toppings: cucumbers, pickled reading, coleslaw, and roasted corn. I would not recommend the corn whatsoever, it was not roasted, it just seemed like it was taken out of a can and dumped on. The pickled radish was delicious! So I would just recommend adding more of that. All in all it was an okay experience, my taste buds were not singing, but my stomach was full. read more

It's so great to find a tasty new lunch spot! The BBQ Chicken and B. Beef were great- in bowl or burrito form.

Good idea but poor execution. The food here is definitely more visual as the top most layers are tasty but that's where it stops. Everything you see is an ideal depiction of the perfect KBBQ bowl but you don't get the middle and bottom, where it's pretty bland. If you mix it, there's not enough flavor so you're left somewhere in between with bites of inconsistent flavor. Seoul Bowl seems to rely heavily on their sauce and the other elements just lack that juicy flavor. Mandu Potstickers were extremely underwhelming, smallest potstickers that were extremely hard and firm. Sure they're "crunchy," but overcooked and small means you don't taste any of the contents just the wrap. Tried the Bulgogi Kimchi Cheese Fries next. First three bites were pleasant but like mentioned above, once you pass the top layer there's nothing left. Skimped on the bulgogi, kimchi, and cheese so you have a bottom layer of regular fries after three or so bites with the toppings. I like the combination but again, execution is a fail. Finally, the Bulgogi Bowl with everything. Top layer beautiful, I'm raising my hopes now after having the first two disappointing appetizers. Few bites later, the bottom rice layer is exposed and more visible and you get to see the entire bowl, skimping on the bulgogi again. Bulgogi here was drier than the meat in the fries, tasted great with the sauce but failed alone and with the rice only. With the other toppings it was pleasant. Yum Yum sauce was good, I think it's just a spicy mayo, but there was only a light drizzle. Overall the toppings were all strong but the rice and meat were disappointing. Come here if the truck is near you or for some Instagram stories, but I wouldn't hunt it down. Potentially a one-off bad experience, so if I have the opportunity to try again I might, but was disappointed. I'd want to say 1 star but it's definitely edible and I feel like this could've been a poor experience judging off everyone else, so the judgment is wide open right now. read more
