The ambiance is great. The bar there is very well done, lots of attention to detail. From that perspective labeling it as a food truck does a disservice to those who aren't looking for a sit down experience and don't realize they're going to miss it. From the service perspective, not being able to speak to the menu is just so disrespectful to the chef. The worst answer you can give to the question, "what's good," or "what do you like?" Is, it's all terrible, the second worst response is, "it's all good." Just so lazy as a server. With that level of help and discussion, you might as well just give me a kiosk. I've found it at last -- top-tier Creole cooking in Seattle! These fine folks were at the Bale Breaker & Yonder Cider Taproom in Ballard and I'm so glad I gave their Shrimp Po'Boy a chance. It was as authentic as it comes. Crispy flavorful shrimp, tangy pickles, and a remoulade sauce that was so tasty I could eat it with a spoon. Not to mention they give you like two pounds of fries with your order haha. Bonus points for them being great people. Food truck row, Mexican food truck. A no. I live in White Center. Pizza is a no go. Gluten free. Ice cream truck, not even open. It's a little breezy. There were a few others, no. However, Boo found oysters at Po'boy & Tings. For me it meant nothing but gluten. Not interested but I'll wait. Boo DID NOT GO TO THE DOGHOUSE however he lived in doghouse territory, busing. That's a whole notha' story. Okay back to 100. I'm in line not bothered but entertained. The reunion of US.... keeping it real and laughter. Food ordered. Again, keeping it real and letting the folks before us know that their food is ready. We are all friends at this point. Boo gets his food w/a Faygo. I'm still not sure why I did not get one, SMH. He begins praising the fries, like WOW! Me, babe you're hungry. I get it! Me too! Lol Still in praise mode, try it! Ummmm no thanks. Continues to praise the fries. FINE. The shrimp po boy is incredible - the coating is flavorful and perfectly crunchy and the shrimp is pretty sizeable. My usual problem with fried shrimp is that it's mostly coating and almost no shrimp, but that wasn't a problem here at all. My friends ordered the catfish and chicken po boys and loved those too. The special sauce is delicious, even with the fries, and I'm glad each order comes with a little extra sauce. If they're offering hush puppies when you go, get those too - like the shrimp, they're perfectly fried and so fluffy inside! read more
