Very helpful staff with great recommendations. I love a good hummus but this one was soooo delicious. Has a spicy oil on top but I don't do spice so it's just the right amount. Also the bread comes out fresh and hot. My favorite hummus by far ! read more

A fun spot in downtown Phoenix. A friend and I stopped in after some sushi across the street (Harumi). The staff here was welcoming and attentive throughout our cocktail journey. The drinks were fun, tasty and full of flavors. The presentation and bundle of scents from the drinks lead to a great conversation at the table. We tried the Sweet Aroma, Turaco and Voyage of Penrose. Maybe we tried one of those a second time ;) The bar glassware was entertaining in itself, especially for the VOP cocktail. The design inside is trendy and a slight peacock theme, which is funky and fresh. The bathroom location is fun to find especially after a few cocktails, lol. The door codes are on a very small card that your server can give you. The "Our Story" section on their website lived up to our experience. I'll be adding it to my short list of spots in this area of downtown Phoenix. read more

In awe of this beautiful bar in the center of downtown Phoenix. I've heard this place can sometimes be very busy but I was able to walk in and get two seats at the bar. Beautiful and extravagant decor all around - including a peacock above the dinner room and artwork above the bar. The bar tender was very helpful in picking out the perfect drinks for us. It is more expensive than I would have liked but still worth a stop to check it out. read more

Maybe I just got the wrong cocktail, but it tasted like dirt in a cup. (La puesta) Little too smoky for me, but the green tea shots were delicious, compliments to the bartender! The ambiance is very cute but I don't think the prices really reflect the quality. Little too much balsamic on the tart :( I want to come back and try their brunch menu but probably won't be returning for dinner. Our server was super knowledgeable and sweet! Friends said the burgers weren't very good. The Portobello sliders were absolutely mid. They don't want to come back. Little too hyped. read more

The cocktails were fine and the bartender was really engaging, but it just doesn't have the magic I'm searching for. The hostess that sat us looked like she was super over her job. The seats at the bar are cute, but kinda difficult to scooch around. Also, when we made our reservations, it didn't say that we'd be at the bar so that was a surprise. Really bad service and $28 well drinks. My friends and I had a party of 9 come in and we knew it was a smaller place so we were okay with sitting outside. My partner and I joined a little bit later and instead of ever greeting or asking if we would like anything, the only thing the server to us said was "You're in my way"... My partner and I had to go to the bar because she had come out another time 15 minutes later and would leave so quickly she didn't hear us say "excuse me" so we could try to put in a drink order. We decided to just go order from the bar where they responded very quickly but told us that the server would have to bring it to us. By the end of the night, the rest of the party was closed out for like 15 minutes so again, we went up to the bar to see if they could help us close out. Mind you, she was just at the front cleaning menus. They said no the server would close us out and when she does we see 22% auto grad stuck on the tab. No wonder she didn't care to give any kind of service. I asked what kind of tequila was in my drink because I was curious what special liquor was put in to make an espresso martini $28... and it was their well. read more

Wife and I dropped in during happy hour and damn, why hadn't we discovered of this place sooner?! Mario (bartender) helped us out, got us started with a rye old fashion and a mezcal margarita. The place very cute! The appetizers are all yummy . The drinks were beautiful and delicious. The serving plates were adorable! Just exquisite! Why only four stars then? I Didn't appreciate the fact that they refused to accommodate me and my request for the drinks I wanted. There were few drinks that looked absolutely beautiful and I really wanted to try them. On their Instagram page the drink came out and was to be available mid July. When I order it in End of July I was told "they no longer have that drink. It was only a promotion" interesting! So the promotion was for that day? A week? Ok! And then there were certain ingredients I can't have in other drinks that I really wanted to try. so I made a very simple request...if they can substitute tequila with vodka, they refused. In a different drink if they can substitute mescal for vodka, they refused. I asked if they could garnish my drink as the drinks I liked were all basic with no garish and they refused. Place was not busy. Half empty. How hard is it to substitute an ingredient? Or how hard is it to stick a flower or a mint or something in a drink?! As a bartender myself it Isn't hard at all. Personally I like to make my costumers happy. Keeps them coming back. I drove for an hour to get here. I was disappointed that I didn't get to try all the beautiful drinks that were advertised on their Instagram page. So do I recommend this place? If you are in the area, absolutely worth a try. But if you live an hour away, not worth the trip! read more

I had a reservation here on Saturday night and they attempted to sit me at the actual bar, which I had tried refusing and the host said "this is all we can sit you at" my boyfriend stayed at the host stand and asked to speak with the manager for a table and in the 15 minutes he was up there my guest and I who were SITTING AT THE BAR at 7:15 were never acknowledged/asked if we wanted anything all while TWO other people were sitting at the actual bar. "Trey", the person behind the bar, finally decided to acknowledge us at 7:15 when our reservation was at 7:00 (the time we had sat) when we just decided to walk down to Hanny's for quality service and customer service. Super cute place that puts a big emphasis on food and drinks by not having so many of them! The decor is gorgeous beyond compare and is a maximalist's dream with the busy but still simple wallpapers. I had to go the first week it opened because it's been all over my IG feed so I was suffering from major FOMO. I ordered the Tales from the Penrose (which is such a good drink name) and it was perfectly spicy and sweet. I didn't get the sugar on the glass though that I kept seeing so that kind of made me sad. My friend had the April Showers and it was soooo tasty. The beef & manchego empanadas were delicious, I was kinda sad I had to share them. And since it was a Tuesday night, we ended the night with mocktails that were honestly just as good as something alcoholic. I had the Sincerest Form and my friend had the Ladybug. It was a strong note to end on! Overall I 100% recommend this place for a drink and quick bite to eat. Service was fast and efficient and it is a sorta small space so they're more attentive for sure. Also a good spot for a first date because it's not too public, not too intimate and the right amount of choices so you can't hide behind the menu! read more

This place is super cute and has really tasty foods (eat the empanadas!). I was disappointed by the cocktails we had, but loved the names and ingredients used. We placed a reservation ahead of time (recommended) and were given exactly 90 minutes before we had to leave our spot. Appreciated the count-down, but also noticed that at the time the bar wasn't hopping enough to remove patrons. Appreciated that the Rose Garden gave notice about the 90-minute rule when scheduling a reservation. I recommend going to check it out as it's gorgeous inside, but maybe consider it only for your first or last stop (i.e. HH). read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Went there on Saturday night with a few friends. The immediate vibes were very cold. Put in drink orders right when we got there, didn't see the server for another 30 mins. Ordered food, the chef had to bring it out because our server (also the hostess) was nowhere to be found. Our drinks had been empty for almost an hour now, food done, and we wanted another drink. Since our server was avoiding our table, we went to the bar to get drinks. The bartender told us in order to make a drink, they'd have to close our tab and open a new one (??) never heard of that before. He called our server for us and ordered more. The bartender was the slowest I've ever seen. Took another 45 minutes for our drinks to be made. Anytime we saw the server, she was taking shots with other workers / tables. At this point we had been there for two and half hours. Two drinks and a few appetizers in 2 AND A HALF HOURS. That is insane. For the price of this place, I can't believe they are getting away with this. To top it off, we were charged a "large party" fee of $38.50. We were FOUR people. On their website, a large party is 5. This place is a total scam. Also there was no AC. Keep that in mind if you are going when it's 90+ outside. read more

I tried this place on recommendation of a friend, so glad I did. The setting and atmosphere are great, really welcoming and casual. They make most of their drinks beforehand, so don't be surprised if they sell out of something. I like the desert bloom and wolfbane the best. I need to come back and try more! read more

First of all the entrance is very confusing, there's 2 ways in and the long tunnel at one entrance makes you feel like you're walking the wrong way. The entrance on Monroe is best because it gets you right in. Very cute place! Really gives a great ambiance with the darker colors with pops of bright throughout! The music was ON POINT! Felt like I was listening to my own playlist. We had to sit at the bar but honestly that was fine because we were right at the bartenders and the chairs are comfy (also have purse hooks underneath)!! Bartenders were awesome and the drinks were DELICIOUS! I think both April showers and garden pleasures were sweet but not too sweet, definitely my favorites. Very instagram-able! Some snacks but honestly we went somewhere else after because nothing looked too filling. I'd definitely go back but eat beforehand! This place was on my list of go to after seeing them on IG. It's a cute little bar in DT phoenix. We went during happy hour so we ordered a flat bread and some drinks. Flatbread was pretty good, drinks not so much. I ordered a Paloma which tasted like nothing but sprite. Our friends ordered an old fashion which came with small ice cubes and was pretty watered down.
