It's a good place to meet friends and family and support the vendors who were hit hard by the shut down. There was strawberries, cherries, beets, peaches, fresh flowers, and succulents among the choices. Four stars for less produce than Modesto, but maybe that will change it's still early in the season. I also like that it's an evening market versus a morning like Modesto.

There's plenty of parking there. We arrived around 8:15am, and we were abit disappointment in the trees as most of the blossoms have fallen off. We walked further down into the farm, and then we found some of the trees still have some blossoms. It looked like snow covered because of the fallen flower petals. We had a lovely time taking pictures and little videos. Because of the time restraint, we didn't visit the farm stand. I would definitely visit the next time I go. It's free to visit. I definitely recommend going to the Secret Garden afterwards for a lovely brunch/lunch/or dinner. That's what we did. :) Also, I think it would have been better to go visit in mid/late February because the trees would have more of the blossoms.

One of the very few farms that lets you walk among the almond trees. It is gorgeous and the blooms might last another coupla weeks. Even local small business shops advertise thier products like jams, jelly, dressings, seasonings and even fresh baked bread. My two young boys and I head over here about 1-2x a week to shop. The staff is always so kind, super sweet and helpful. I've had so many good conversations! I do a lot of canning and I make a lot of pepper jelly and fruit jam, WITH the produce J&J Ramos farms harvest. It's always the best experience when we come out here.

I don't like clam chowder, but since it was Friday, that is all they had. So, I got it for my son. The lasagna was delicious, however, I thought the price was very high, and they charged me a fee for a to go order: $1.50. For a total of $27.50!! Not a bargain. They were packed. The parking lot and inside the restaurant were full! It was a Friday night. They gave me my order pretty fast, and the hostess was friendly. The ambiance is beautiful outside. They have ducks, hens, and roosters running free. I love to feed the birds, it is my favorite part of going to The Fruit Yard.

The lucque olives are not your typical briny olives that we get at the market, and the flavor was fresh and delicious. As you would expect picking a fresh olive I would imagine. We tried both the roasted garlic & herbs as well as roasted garlic & jalapeno and herbs. Both were an amazing addition. Another delicious treat was Hunter's pistachios. These are not simply dusted like you may find at the market, they really flavor them well and you can see and taste the seasonings on the shell. We tried both the mild (hatch chilis, garlic, and sage), as well as the hot (jalapeno, garlic, and sage). Both were truly amazing, although my husband preferred the hot variety as they had a nice kick. We also were able to try some pure lemon syrup. With a sweet lemony flavor, it is truly good on so many things. We enjoy it as a glaze on chicken, fish, or in tea. I will be trying it on ice cream next!!! We keep coming up with new uses all the time as we love the flavor of this syrup. I am dying to restock and try the sweetened and dipped orange and lemon slices the next time. These treats are healthy and delicious, and we are very happy to have tried Hunter's Homegrown!
