J&J Ramos Farms at the Clement Street Farmers Market. Their crop from Stanislaus had some great looking Melons and a nice mix a stone fruits Peaches, Nectarines, Plums etc. Starting in 1997 with a farm of just 20 acres of Peaches, J&J now cultivates more then 20 crops.

I love this place. It has a great selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Plus some off season like apples and avocados. There are a variety of CA hot sauces and olive oils plus many flavored corn nuts. I don't do pastries but they look delicious

Nice fruit and Genova fresh Ciabatta loaf

Very good products and service at this small farmer market. The best thing there is the availability of Genova Bakery breads! If these Stockton baked breads are unfamiliar to you, give one a try. Tastes like your European Grandma's homemade breads. It's so wonderful to find these fresh, delicious breads here. Thank you to J&J for this blessing!!

I saw the good reviews and thought it would be worth trying this restaurant that has been around…read morefor so many years. I was wrong. My husband and I were seated all the way in the back by an exit door when other tables were available. The decor and look of this place is old and not in a charming diner sort of way. It does not feel clean. The little pond out front needs fresh water, little water covered in algae in there currently. The food was bad. We both order tri tip sandwiches and the meat was chewy and dry. The fries were ok. Even my iced tea was overly sweet. Next time I am in Modesto, I will try a different restaurant.

I love The Fruit Yard! It has been a while since we dined here. I ordered the beef lasagna to go…read more It came with a bowl of soup or salad, my choice. I don't like clam chowder, but since it was Friday, that is all they had. So, I got it for my son. I really wish restaurants would serve more than one type of soup on Friday, if they're going to have clam chowder, as it is my least favorite. The lasagna was delicious, however, I thought the price was very high, and they charged me a fee for a to go order: $1.50. For a total of $27.50!! Not a bargain. They were packed. The parking lot and inside the restaurant were full! It was a Friday night. They gave me my order pretty fast, and the hostess was friendly. The ambiance is beautiful outside. They have ducks, hens, and roosters running free. I love to feed the birds, it is my favorite part of going to The Fruit Yard.

The owner is a really great dude, wonderful service, super nice and slapped together a plate for us…read moreand it was bomb AF Chicken, brisket, beans, rolls, coleslaw, and potato salad. Every single item was on point and tasted like a million bucks. If y'all remember Dickies BBQ Spicy Sauce, this is the new place for BBQ, could drink this stuff. Had a nice little bench outside to sit and enjoy the fresh air and fresh food, will definitely be back. Always catching. Whiff of this place to and from Stan State, most definitely worth a try or twelve!

Best at brisket!…read more This is an order at the window and eat on the patio place. This is perfect Central Valley Charm and top notch service. Nice theme and decor. Come early or you get stuck in the heat. Orrrrr you end up not getting anything. The hours of operation are hard to nail down. Basically show up at 11 or you might not get food. Also days are the end of the week. The Brisket Sandwich - If this was the only thing I ordered this bbq would have been a 7 out of 5 stars. Hands down the best brisket I've ever had. Cowboy Corn - good corn, kinda like elote. I could have eaten it with chips. Needs a little more spice. Corn bread - warm and delicious. We got an edge. Ooohhh ahhhh. A little crisped. Definitely should be served with butter and honey though. Combo - Chicken - good seasoning, better with the sauce. Pulled pork - not salted. Definitely needs sauce when you enjoy. Mac and cheese - muah. Chef kiss. I'm not a big fan of mac and this stuff had me tempted to take it all for myself. Potato salad - excellent flavor good care. Red potatoes. Cooked to perfection. They definitely need to be cut into a little smaller pieces and boiled with a little saltier water. They were large bites that the dressing couldn't get all the way around. BBQ Sauce - I loved it. Thought it was great. With that being said I need to acknowledge it was spicy. My wife was on the edge and I would serve it to the kids. I'll be back!
