Beautiful club that will remind you of being in Vegas, Chicago or NYC! Not sure how this place wound up at the domain but I'm not complaining. Loved the escalator up to the club with the crazy lights and music. The dancers on the platforms were a nice touch. Everyone was having a great time, strong drinks, and fast service at the bar. If I could give zero stars I would. This place is ridiculous. A group of girlfriends and I and I went in on a Friday night. We were having a good time until a guy in the private lounge area started grinding on one of my friends through the "ropes" the "body guard" had the audacity to ask my friend to stop! Not only is this sexist ( why not ask the guy to stop if the rule is the people in the "VIP" section cannot interact with the "others") but it was just ridiculous. The guy then invited my friend to the VIP section only to be told she couldn't go in by one of the body guards. Just backwards policies. read more

Really dope club from walking up to the club on the stairs to the lively music. It gets pretty packed but it's a club so it's expected. Prices are decently priced but it's a club so it's kinda expected again. If you're into hip hop and up to date music I would for sure hit this place up! read more

Finally, a club that looks like it's in a major city! Huge upgrade from Downtown. Much more modern and clean too. Sad to say that this spot is only surrounded by like 4 other clubs/bars... Although once you are inside it looks a lot bigger than expected, it still is not big enough to fit all the patrons that wanna dance and not grind on strangers the whole night. I like that it is attached to the hookah bar next door. Definitely helps alleviate some of the crowding. Music was good and the drinks were not bad. Price is as expected. I don't know what the fuss is all about, but this place is poppin'. If you're looking for a place to dance with wild lights and EDM/pop/hip-hop music - this is your place. If you're looking for a bar and somewhere quiet and casual to grab drinks with friends - go to Jack and Gingers or Dogwood next door. The drinks are expensive, so don't rely on the bar to get you "there." If you need a break from the dance floor hysteria, just walk over to 77 Degrees and lounge on the roof. The bartender and manager were extremely rude while closing my tab (1 beer) when there was absolutely no reason to be. The bartender literally told me, "Never come back here." THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN I've been here a few times before only because it's really the only place at the domain with dancing. I will never be returning. The club itself is beautiful but that's about it. I've seen them(the bouncers) on multiple occasions discriminate people based on how they look/dress and not let them in. I brought my cousin there last night and they wouldn't let him in because of his dress attire(he truly looked fine) I'm not going to go into all the examples, there's plenty of reviews saying the same thing on here about it. They're honestly straight up racist and it is truly disgusting. The men that "pass the dress code" just grope girls all night. I've literally had a guy yank at my arm to force me to dance with him. The whole experience is quite uncomfortable. It makes the entire domain look bad, and is a disgrace to our beautiful city. Someone else needs to take over or the Domain needs to throw them out, it's so bad!!! read more

On February 18th 2017 I came with two more friends to your facility, while dancing and having fun in the outdoor bar someone from the balcony threw a glass on my shoulder. I started bleeding and had to ask your bartenders if they even had a medical kit. I tried to stop the bleeding with some napkins from the bar but it would not stop. When requested a manager, someone who seemed to be having a great time at work showed up and was absolutely useless in solving any problems. When requested to speak to a sober manager, I was directed downstairs to speak with Adam, who spoke to the group that was responsible for y injury, but did not asked them to leave. I got offered drinks, but unfortunately I don't drink. I am very disappointed in how your employees managed the situation, I felt that nobody cared and that there is no concern for the safety of people like me that go out to have a good time. I would love to speak to the owner of this place and resolve everything without animosity. It concerns me that the glass could have been thrown at my head and damaged me permanently ( which willl happen on my shoulder with a scar). read more

Good music, good atmosphere but NO SEATING unless you are outside on one of the patios, and even then it's very limited. Inside the only seating is if you go for VIP bottle service. This was our first visit to The Rose Room, and there was no dress code listed that we could find, and upon arriving we were initially denied entrance because my husband had on a hat that had a sports team logo on it. After a second attempt we were lucky enough that I was able to talk a bouncer in to holding his hat as we are not from Austin and took an Uber to get there, however later we did notice several patrons that had on hats with sports teams logos on them. Last night my friend brought me here as part of his 30th birthday celebration. I don't go out in the domain often so I was thinking it would be something different.... on the dance floor my friend was called a f-word (yes he is gay, this was clearly a hateful action) and I looked behind me in shock.. I guess my look offended some people (who definitely appeared to be underage).. they punched me and one of them grabbed my hair and dragged me on the floor. I called the police to report being dragged on the floor and punched by a stranger and instead of the police doing what I thought they came to do, they told me the bar owner wanted me out of the bar because I was acting "hysterical" ?? Not even acting out of control considering I was punched and dragged by my hair by a complete stranger. When I explained to the bouncer who was kicking me out, he said I "shouldn't be in a bar with a head injury anyway." What a crazy situation all I know is this place is complete trash and I now have a pending complaint with the Austin police department because of them and their hateful clientele... just go somewhere else!!! read more

I loved it! Originally from SoCal, I've been living in San Antonio for 5 years now. First club in Texas that somewhat felt like home. Mixed crowd with all types of ethnicities. Read others reviews and I'm not sure what nights are what. A friend and I went on a Saturday night. Great music, loved the different floors, inside and outside patio options, lots of bars, good drinks and fun vibe! Not snobby, just fun! Only complaint is not a lot of dance room. We went to this club last night and they wouldn't let our friend (who is black) in because he had on boots. The guy checking IDs had on boots!! Meanwhile, my husband (who is white) had on ratty Sambas and got in, no problem. We went around the corner and the boys changed shoes and we attempted to get in again. My husband wore his friends boots through the line and got in with no problem. Also, while standing outside, we watched a bouncer escort a patron outside and then forcefully push him out the door. The bouncer then followed him down the street, yelling at him like he wanted to fight the guy. I hope you ask for a raise so that you can afford your surgery. The doormen (and woman) discriminate against people when they feel like it. There is no consistency on dress code, so why uphold it? Very discriminatory behavior exhibited by the door staff. The only consistency is, blacks and Mexicans are their targets. Will be organizing a boycott and against these practices very soon. They will size you up if you're black or Mexican and look for any reason they can to deny you. Anything from the type of shoes you wear to the flatness of your hat. Been here 3-4 times. Each time not knowing how I feel about the place. Basically its fun for 10min then it gets old really fast. Pretty much only play techno music with a few popular radio songs here and there but its a super techno version. They have these dancers on boxes..... Which aren't very good. Lots of lights and fog which is cool. I would say be very careful lots of creeper guys standing around acting sketchy. The dance floor is very jam packed with people. People constantly brushing up against you. I would recommend not brining a purse or satchel. As I saw on other previous comments I will agree that the bouncers are A Holes 100%. It's cool if you've never been but to me this is where I would go the last 20-30min of the night just because it gets old really fast. Cool concept but they need way better music. Before I explain what happened, let me just say I don't mind a dress code. Its just aggravating when it only pertains to some people. Now I will explain. My boyfriend has been denied twice to get into this place based on dress code. First time his shirt was "too controversial"....it was a Patriots shirt. Really? Second time he wasn't allowed in because of his baseball cap. Mind you he had no problem getting into any other bar on this strip. I talked to the supposed manager about this and asked why other people inside who were wearing hats were allowed in. His response was talk to the guys outside he has no control over it....as a manager shouldn't you? Fine. I talked to the guys outside and explained to them how there were people inside wearing caps so why couldn't my bf get in. His response? "Well was he starting a scene?" Uh no he wasn't. My bf asked if he just take it off and hold it is that okay? He was told no and denied entrance. I went inside and talked to a guy wearing a cap and asked him if the "bouncers" said he had to take it off. That guy said yes and as long as he didn't wear it he could get in. If they're so strict on getting in shouldn't they be as strict inside? I will never be going back to this place again. If I want to go to a club i'll drive the 40 min to 6th even though I live in round rock. This bar sucks. read more

I liked the Rose Room. A little different vibe than the other rooftop bars as there's a full club with bottle service opportunities at no cover. There's seats at the top level, outdoor area, as well as the club through the rooftop door. Prices are a little steeper here and options are limited, but still within the $8-12 range. The club got going after midnight and the top area felt lounge all throughout the night rather than the bro-ness you'll get on 6th st. I would recommend Rose Room for a change of pace and would definitely go back. read more

This place is nothing like Vegas, there are only two dancers and it is small. We were only here for maybe 30 minutes. Ordered two drinks at the downstairs bar which were vodka and Redbull and it was by far the worst drinks of the night, with a lot of Redbull and no vodka. The drinks were also not full, even after she added even more ice for a second time. Apparently opening another can of Redbull is above her skill level as a bartender and for $22 I expected at minimum a good drink. It also didn't help that they denied a guy friend who was meeting us there because of slightly ripped jeans at the knees when yet there were girls wearing VERY casual clothes and regular sandals inside the club. So the Rose Room wouldn't let me in because I have a "sports affiliated" hat on (Spurs). Yet people walked in with UT and A&M hats on and I saw someone walk in with a Cowboys hat. I'm sure the hats they are wearing are for support for their education. I'm really sure I'm part of a gang when I'm at the Domain where the upper middle class go and the cheapest drink is 4.25..... They have a great atmosphere once you are in. Good drinks. But the incompetent bouncers are unsure of legal documentation and will turn down current residents because they are unsure. We waited in line 5 mins, denied one person, had to walk home 10 to retrieve a passport to walk 10 mins back to be let in with our friends. This is ridiculous.
