The supervisor and management at the Royal Palm are unprofessional and rude . I attended a wedding where I was treated unfairly on 7/18/25 all over a to go tray. It was 10 pm when the food arrived and I hadn't touched my plate at all . I requested a to go tray so I could leave and the waitress Monique said sure . Monique came over to say my request was denied her supervisor said NO. I asked yessia why my request was denied she was rude and said we don't do that. Yessia took it upon herself to have a conversation with the bride on her day to have this conversation with the bride . I took a picture of her name tag which upset her. I requested a manager a short Spanish lady told me that it's against NYS laws to give to go trays . $150 dollar meal that was paid for was left on the table that I hadn't touched . Yessia who is a Karen spewed a lie stated to the bride unbeknown to me that I said I would punch her in the face and she was calling the police. Oh boy. 1 person on the "bar". Line was to the door. Servers with hors d'oeuvres didn't care at the same five people got everything as soon as they walked out of the kitchen. The cocktail hour has buffet style food. Two trays of anything that was considered food. One very weak looking fruit platter. The two items they had were mini tacos that came from BJ's and thank God it was the one that was edible. The other was a swedish meatball that I fully believe was provided by the Alpo corporation. We recently held our wedding here and it was the perfect day. We booked through Tiania who was great throughout the whole process. She handled everything with the venue, DJ and photographer. She was always available for questions even when she was on vacation. The staff provided outstanding professionalism and excellent service. They even went above and beyond to practice and entertain our 2 year old ring bearer who walked and did a great job which would not have happened without Royal Palm staff and management :-). We had our ceremony and reception here and it was beautiful.  Our family and friends commented on how great the food and decorations was! This is probably the best place in the Long Island area for hosting any events. First and foremost, Ruma, Saif, and Kam can get the job done with an excellent outcome. We had a tight deadline for one of my buddies wedding and another friend recommended us the place. Once we went there, Ruma appeared there as an angel and took the whole task on her shoulder. From stage to the center piece, hall, hena artists, makeup, limo service, food, and not to mention the photogrphy and videography in affordable price point. I remember her saying no worries and from there till the end she had delivered as she promised. It was an one stop shop for us. Avoid this facility: the operators cannot be trusted. We arranged to have a party for approximately 150 people at the Royal Palm. We were shown a cocktail room (between myself and my wife, they showed us this room three times and told us that it was used for cocktail hours). We negotiated a price and were told that the contract would be sent to us the next day. However, when we got the contract, it was over a $1,000 more than we had agreed to. We were told that this was a "prime time" fee because we wanted a Saturday night. It's bad enough that they charge this at all, but even worse that it was added after we had an agreement. Still, we liked the date we had and did not want to haggle. So, we bit the bullet and agreed to sign the contract. Before doing so, though, we asked one of the owners, Sonia, two things: First, if she herself would be overseeing our party. We were told that not only would she be there, but that her cousin Tamin would work the party, as would her brother. We also asked that, if possible, we could be the only party there that night, and even offered them cash for this privilege. While Sonia explained that she could not guarantee that we would be the only party, she stated that it was unlikely that another party would be booked, since we were booking an event that was to take place in about a month. Well, a few days after we signed the contract, my wife went in to go over the invitations. Sonia told her that there was in fact another party that night - but here's the kicker: the party for that night was not something someone had come in and booked, but a party that her husband had decided to give for a friend. Not only that, but Sonia, Tamin, and Sonia's brother would all be guests at that party, despite telling us that they would work our party. It gets worse: Sonia then told my wife that our "cocktail hour" wouldn't be done in the cocktail room that we were shown, but would be done in the main ballroom - so, basically, it wasn't a cocktail hour at all but just an extra hour of the party. No one would reasonably define that as a cocktail hour, yet because they decided they didn't like the deal they made with us (apparently) they went about screwing us over. I went by with my wife to try to work things out. We were even willing to pay extra to get the cocktail room that we had already been promised. But Sonia and Tamin couldn't find it in themselves to be reasonable: they told us that if we wanted the separate cocktail room (which we had already made a deal for), we would have to pay $3,000 extra - and, yes, that's just for an hour. They tried to explain this away by saying that the contract didn't specify that the cocktail hour would be done in the cocktail room (as ludicrous as this seems). Again, they had shown us a cocktail room three times and told us that that is where they did cocktail hours. Yet, somehow, we were supposed to magically figure out that our cocktail hour wouldn't be done in the cocktail room. So, we tried to get our money back (we had left a $1,900 deposit). But they refused to refund our money unless my wife agreed to sign something that stated that the party was being canceled due to her "unreasonable demands." Of course, we would agree to sign no such thing. After some discussion, they agreed to refund our money without her signing that ridiculous document, but they said they could not refund her credit card, despite the fact that she had paid by credit card. They insisted that we take a check. Since it was Friday night and a check would take longer to clear (and because we worried they might try to cancel it), we stated that we preferred that they put the money back on the credit card. They refused, citing some nonsense about "policy." We agreed to take the check on their word that we would have no issues with it. You'd figure, at this point, that they would just give us our refund and let us be on our way. But they were not done with their tricks: they brought us a check that, in the memo section, stated that we were cancelling the event, again putting the onus on us even though we had no desire to cancel - we just wanted what we had been promised. We asked that they give us another check that simply stated that it was a refund. They refused. (Update: we were credited the money shortly later). To make matters worse, Sonia called her husband, who insisted on speaking with me. We were actually on our way out when I took the phone. He started ranting, telling me to "get the fuck out of [his] place!" I tried to say that we were already leaving, but he just kept screaming. read more

There was this one bald Bengali guy who was so rude. He was rude to my family and my guests. He even told one of my guests that they are not allowed to take pictures!!! Is he for real?? My DJ had sparklers for me, and they told him he cannot use them because it's banned in Long Island. WHICH IS A COMPLETE LIE! I saw another even three weeks after mine, and they allowed that event to have full sparklers. NOT ONLY THAT, I requested That we get a chicken platter with eggs ( it's a tradition at weddings) they gave it so sloppy and messy. I saw How they gave it at the wedding three weeks after mine and it was so neat and pretty. I was So upset on my actual wedding day, that I almost Cried. I would have NEVER had my event there if it was covid times and they were one of the few places to have been open. They treat outside vendors with disrespect and they are biased. My stage was done by the partners of Royal Palm and I know that bcz A week after my event they did the same exact stage but just different colors. The management SUCKS! They are only nice towards clients who book everything with them which is so ridiculous. The bald headed benagli guy is so disrespectful. They never went into detail about the covid rules and they expected me to know that! I do Not attend or have weddings every day for me to know the current rules! My experience at Royal Palm Banquet Hall began in January when I first went to take a look around. We were looking for a hall that could accommodate 300-400 people. Sana was our guide. During our visit she walked us around the hall, showed us what a potential set up could be, informed us of menu option, and gave us an estimate. We left with a good feeling. I checked five other halls before this one, so far we had been rushed around or been treated as though we were being done a favor by touring their hall. That was NOT the case at Royal Palm. We decided to book. Over the next few months I tortured Sana - I called, e-mailed, and texted every single time I had a question...she was so patient. She reassured me constantly that everything was taken care of and answered every question without hesitation - no call or text went unanswered, no hoops to jump through. She was unable to be there on the night of my event but promised to have everything ready before she left for the day. She did not disappoint. The night of the wedding I arrived to a hall that was already set up and perfect. I had no adjustments to make - she really had taken care of it all. My Maitre' D, Mike, was filled in and on the ball. He constantly checked with me to make sure things were in place, he had food brought to the bridal suites, and reminded me of the little things that I was forgetting to do. At the end of the night he brought out tables and set up the favors for me so that I wouldn't have to pass them out myself. Everything about my experience at Royal Palm was great. Juice is watered down to the point it had no taste, waffles were crumbling, pancakes were broken, sausage were tasteless and the wait to get food was long and confusing, forming on both ends. WARNING , This is probably the worse place to host a party. Let's start off with the food. The food is disgusting !! I can't believe the food they served. I was given roasted chicken that was pink. My Daughter Sweet 16 My daughter will never forget this Sweet 16. I was looking for a place that a decent menu and rooms that were nice with not broken tiles or chandelier. The inside of the venue impressed me. My coordinator "KARLA", sealed the deal for me. She was attentive and knew exactly how OCD I was when planning this Sweet 16. Every time I sent her a text with a question or an issue, she texted me right back. The only issue I had was with the Bakery they do business with (Francesco's bakery). They seemed to be very disorganized. My advice is let them give you a credit for the cake and buy your cake elsewhere. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone doing a Sweet 16. read more

This place is disgraceful had my daughters sweet 16 there on 12/13/19 Waitstaff rude and not knowledgeable of the food they are serving. Mike the maître d' was rude when I asked for 2 chairs at a table for 10 he said if they put 10 chairs at each table that would be 135 chairs. I said I paid for 125 people, but there are kids under 5 that I didn't have to pay for instead of just getting me 2 chairs he asked if he should take the kids chairs from the table next to the one we were at all in from of my guests by the way!! I said forget it and for my own Another event occupied the foyer for pictures I got 2 pictures in their beautiful foyer when I knocked on the office door the woman looked at me rolled her eyes and spoke to me like I had some nerve to ask politely that they let them know we want to take picture too. Mike told my DJ no to starting candle ceremony at 1015-1020 he said 11 and my dj said no they need to dance after Mike said why they are dancing now. No time for dessert bc candle ceremony didn't start till 11 and Mikes defense was in his Experience candle ceremony only lasts about 15 minutes. Now anybody who's been to a sweet 16 knows that candle ceremony is at least 45 minutes to an hour his excuse was he was never given the itinerary. my guests were rushed out at the end and coffee and cake cake was served at the buffet during my daughters candle speeches which was rude all because Mike didn't get the itinerary or listen to my dj or ask me There is so Much more Space heaters in bridal sweet but to cold to turn off not only dangerous but why wasn't it heated correctly? Bathroom attendant could care less no toilet paper wasn't friendly did nothing Management heard out my complaints seemed to understand and then offered me $500 "gift" (per them gift not refund) and $2000 credit to a future event in the next 2 hrs. Why would I go back I was reasonable and said I understood they had costs but manager Fathema said after their costs this is all she could refund me. I highly doubt they make $500 per party Oh and before anyone can respond back no I didn't tip Mike or the waitstaff their behavior was rude and unacceptable. All my guests said how beautiful my daughter looked how great my center pieces were how great my dj and photographer were but how my venue lacked. People complained to me after about how rude and inattentive the staff was how they didn't clean up glasses from the table and how they felt like they were kicked out after candles. Just disgraceful! Went here for New Year's Eve And couldn't be more disappointed. I only managed to get two drinks in about an hour and a half. Very over packed not enough staff. I've paid less for a better time for the same type of event. The food provided was cheap and not enough for the large amount of people they let into this place. One of the staff members even told me I have no idea why it's so over packed. After having enough of a crappy night I left at around 1145 The guy at the door did not even seem surprised I left. When I arrived, no one greeted me, so I spoke with a cleaning woman, who directed me to the office. I've voiced my disapproval of Royal Palm's services 2 months ago. In the interim, the owners of Royal Palm, and my wife and I met to discuss the chaos that ensued on the day of our wedding. To my recollection, at least one (I believe Ruma) of the owners was present at the venue during the event. In our lengthy meeting, she personally admitted that she reviewed the security footages and saw that the chicken tandoori ran out after about 230 ppl (event for 430 ppl. $20k). She concurred that people were waiting in line for 2hrs and then started leaving the lines. She herself came forward during our event around 11pm to announce and encourage ppl to go back in line, as "now there is more food available" (in speaking to many ppl, only appetizers were dumped back in the empty trays). It was honestly an emotional meeting but, in the end, I felt that we were able to come to an understanding- that something went horribly wrong with the Royal Palm's catering/services that night and a lot of ppl did not get to eat. My wife and I, therefore, proposed that we believe the Royal Palm and its owners owe us a restitution for what happened that night. And they agreed. However, to our disappointment, they e-mailed us to say that they are not responsible for what happened that night. They shifted the blames to some ex "disgruntled employees" and shamelessly came up with the excuse that they only recently became the owners of Royal Palm and had no idea about the catering (They expected us to feel sorry for them!)So anyways, just wanted to update and warn everyone about the kind of people you will be dealing with at Royal Palm. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! My husband and I had our wedding here and it was the worst decision of our lives! The owners don't know what they are doing, very very amateur business people. They don't know what the term customer service is. They are FRAUDS, plain and simple. They are in the business of taking people's money and not providing the services. To make matters worse, we got decorations for our home from them for 2 events pre-wedding and after the first event they refused to do the second one, the day of the second event they took back all their things including tents, tables, Stage, decorations for 150 people. This was 3 hrs before the event! And they did this bc we asked them to sign the contract that they would get it done by 6 pm at which time our event was starting because they arrived at 3 pm when they were supposed to come at 10 am. They refused to sign the contract and do the work. When we told them we would take them to court for breach of contract, Shuvo, the brother of the owners wife Sonia said he has 13 lawyers. Of course he would need that many for all the people they have cheated! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I WOULD NOT WISH THEIR SERVICES ON MY ENEMIES! I cannot stress how badly you should stay away from this hall. They have constantly lied to us, not kept their word, arrived hours late to perform services and cursed us for it. The day of the reception at the hall they intentionally did things to ruin our party. Their bartenders and waiters revealed confidential information to our guests and told them we are cheap! They kept a bouncer to agitate our guests and asked for ID from older people to create a delay at the bar. They told our guests they were out of a certain liquor (Jack Daniels) and when my father confronted them about this issue they brought out the Jack. They turned on all the lights on the dance floor and it took us, the bride and groom, a half hour to get the lights back on track! Several people got glass in their feet bc these people took forever to clean up messes. When Shuvo was asked by one of my guests to have glass on the floor cleaned up, he REFUSED TO DO IT! at the end of the night my guests were KICKED OUT OF the hall rather then being asked politely to leave as the party was over. total SHIT SHOW. went there for a new years party last night valet was into the street. we were on that line 30 mins. stood on line at the door for 20 mins there was clearly not enough staff the whole night for the 470 people they told us they were expecting ( last minute). and btw we made our reservations weeks in advance and was told we got a good table and lucky to get tickets and that was when they told us 300 were expected? now they call us a day before the party to say they were expecting 470 people, and they needed to change our table but our seats were still good(they were horrible, and we were in a corner my husband nor i could even sit down because there was literally no room to get in between the table next to us and to our seat we decided to stand ). place was packed out dangerously. total lack of security. 2 bars, 1 bartender per bar working incredibly slow and the bar line cutting? ridiculous. waiting longer now cuz people's friends jumping in the front and "security" just watching. we stood on that line at least 45 mins we could have made reservations at a hall for 50 bucks more and had 100 times better service and i promise u, a much more organized and prepared party. they clearly just wanted ur money, cuz this is not a place of good service. we ended up going to our favorite restaurant and dancing drinking and eating our night away. lesson learned never to reccommend this half ass place read more

I went to the Royal Palm with my daughter and her finance to look at the venue for their wedding reception. Sonia was there as was a young man who told us he was new to the job. they showed us around and answered all of our questions. We went over the menu and they told us my daughter and her finance could come in for a "tasting" to help decide which food they wanted to order. They also provide the wedding cake. I asked Sonia where they get the cake from and she told me Princess in Massapequa. I was so happy as Princess is my favorite bakery!! Saturday, May 14, I went into Princess to buy some cake. While there I was talking to one of the women who works there and I told her I was so happy that they make the wedding cakes for the Royal Palm as my daughter was considering having her wedding there. Well, to my surprise, she told me THEY DO NOT MAKE THE WEDDING CAKES FOR THAT HALL OR ANY OTHER.... That night my daughter and her finance went to the Royal Palm for a "tasting". which they said was ok..Thinking maybe I misunderstood, they asked again where the wedding cakes come from. Again they were told Princess Bakery in Massapequa..... So, if they lie about where the cake comes from, what else are they lying about? Overall it was a terrific affair and great place. A great value. We were lucky enough to work with the manger, Tahiya and she was tremendous. Very detail oriented and on top of things. My daughter just had her Sweet 16 celebration at Royal Palm and I only have amazing things to say. What an awesome staff. They were so accommodating and made sure that everything went well. My daughter had a vision, I shared it with them (only took one conversation) and they made it come to life. Words can't describe how appreciative I am for Sonya and how helpful she was. She was so flexible with the arrangements, took care of the floating candles, and centerpieces. I just had to show up. Mike, our maitre d, was awesome. He checked in on us constantly and made sure the night went well. Mary took her time with helping us with the menu and color scheme. If I forgot someone, I'm sorry. Everyone was superb! 3/16/2017 -Start from the bottom up for the full review- or just start here, this summarizes. So I finally had my party at Royal Palm and it was amazing!! All of the stressing and reading the bad reviews left me very paniced. But let me tell you, I can not say enough good things to describe Royal Palm. Some of my friends eveny called Royal Palm to compliment how attentive the staff was. My party (Bat Mizvah for my daughter), had around 250 people (over 100 kids). Mike the maitre d' was there for me for whatever I needed during the entire party. The waitstaff never stopped coming over to all the tables (not just mine). All of the staff (and there was a lot) were there when I needed them. Sonia allowed me and my daughter to arrive at 7:30 so that we could bring in our hair dresser and make-up artist in early. My guests were scheduled to come in at 10:45 with the service and party beginning at 11 and ending at 5:30. Everything was perfect. I only used the photographer (Vidcom who were also excellent) as their recommended vendor, and all of my own vendors were treated with total respect and were allowed to do what they needed to do without any complications from Royal Palm. There were a lot of them too (DJ, MC, 5 dancers, Zap shot, Step and Repeat, Air Brush, and decorator). All my guest fully enjoyed all the cocktail hour and reception food (adults had a sit down, kids buffet). The chef has been there for many years and knows how to prepare absolutely delicious meals and appetizers. Everything went so well, and I owe that all to Royal Palm and its staff. If I were to have another party there, I would not hesitate. They did everything to help make the day run smoothly. Sonia and Mike, if you read this Thank you for making last Sunday truly amazing. Please pass this to your staff!!! 2/3/2017 update- so I went to the tasting and had a mixture of different cocktail hour appetizers, they included: Eggplant Rollatini, Chicken Franchaise , sausage and peppers, Chicken Marsala, penne ala Vodka, london broil and a seafood dish with crabmeat and scallops. All was great, the chef is very good. He is an older Italian gentleman who you can tell had many years experience. The only issues that we are nervous about is that the place is planning on reaching out to explore different venues like a steakhouse. The room where we had the tasting (in the back) is our cocktail hour room, I was told that the room shouldn't look any different and if they do indeed open a restaurant it should not interfere (remodeling) with my party. I am nervous about this. We also noticed how they are changing the look (which will be for the better in the long run, however will it look nice for the party?. When you walk in, there is a horrible 1/4 wall which my husband pointed out. Needs to be plastered and painted and it wasn't. We were assured that this will be fixed when we have our party. so far, I feel the same positive way and trust Sonia. I am going back in a few weeks from now with my vendor and party planner, I will keep you updated. I think it will be very helpful to see how the process of my party with Royal Palm is going so you can maybe have a better judge of Royal Palm.. When I first booked the party I was extremely happy (otherwise I wouldn't have booked), Amanda and Lisa where the planners. However they left abruptly and then I met with the new planner Alex, who also left rather quickly. I met with Sonia to discuss my concerns and I have to tell you, she has been nothing but amazing, always there when I need her. She has made the time to call me anytime even from London. She has explained each and every bad review that has been written up since she took over the planning at Royal Palm and it makes sense. Yes she can tell me what I want to hear, but I have noticed that she is responding to all the reviews which shows me she really cares about this hall. Every question she has answered and every modification to my party (which will consist of about 200+ people) she has addressed and has provided extremely reasonable options and prices. I am going for a tasting in January and I will provide an update then.
