Any issues at this point are considered normal wear and tear, which are not covered under the manufacturer's warranty" So "lifetime" is not lifetime but rather whatever age until it breaks at which point it's at the end of the life of the product. Lifetime is based on what they believe the product lifespan should be. Recliner is 20 years old but I paid 10x the price of the cheapest recliner because it was supposed to be a lifetime warranty.
