The RV Guy shop demonstrated very little regard for customer satisfaction or accountability. I was originally quoted 1-2 weeks for the repair, but my RV remained at the shop for 7 weeks. During that time, I received no updates until I was notified that the repair had been completed. There was no diagnostic fee disclosed upfront, no estimate provided, and no discussion of repair costs before I was presented with the final bill. The original issue was a hydraulic jack that was not operating properly. According to the shop, their diagnosis determined that an undersized factory ground wire was the problem, and they replaced it with a heavier-gauge wire. When I picked up the RV, the technician demonstrated that the jack was now functioning, although very slowly. He attributed the slow operation to low battery voltage, and I took him at his word. After bringing the RV home and connecting it to 50-amp shore power, I lowered the jacks to test the system. The same jack that had supposedly been repaired would not retract. I immediately contacted The RV Guy and was instructed not to force the jack up. I was told they would speak with the technician and call me back with instructions on how to retract the jack. That return call never came. Three days later, I followed up with the shop. I was told my only option was to bring the RV back in, and that I would be financially responsible for any additional diagnostics and repairs. Since the original repair had not resolved the problem, I requested either a refund or a new diagnostic evaluation at no charge. Both requests were denied. I explained that, in good faith, they should at least send their mobile technician to diagnose the actual problem since I was still experiencing the exact issue I had paid them to repair. The only accommodation they offered was to send a mobile technician to verify that the ground wire they installed was not causing the problem. If the wire was not at fault, I would once again be responsible for the service call and any labor charges. After paying approximately $600 to replace a 12-inch ground wire that did not solve the problem, I decided to cut my losses and take my business elsewhere. My biggest disappointment was not the unsuccessful repair--it was the lack of communication, accountability, and willingness to stand behind their work when the original issue remained unresolved. read more

We recently took our RV to The RV Guy in Avondale because our leveling system decided it no longer wanted to level. After some investigating, they discovered the issue was bad O-rings. They replaced them, and at first, it seemed like everything was fixed. Unfortunately, the fix only lasted one use before the system went right back to not working. After waiting three weeks just to get into the shop, it's really frustrating to be back at square one so quickly. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, straightforward, and didn't try to upsell us on things we didn't need. Once our RV was in the shop, the turnaround was quick. But at the end of the day, what matters most is whether the repair holds, and in our case, it didn't. Bottom line: nice people, but our repair failed immediately, and that's not what you hope for when you trust a shop with your RV. read more

Terrible experience. The repair process dragged on for months longer than it should have. As time went on, talking to Vanessa on the phone became difficult. She was rude and difficult to deal with. At one point she called demanding our deductible check be mailed, without the job being finished. We had our black tank replaced, and it STILL leaks. Their excuse that a new tank will leak if filled all the way is simply not true, according to other RV techs. They've refused to fix the issue and badly overcharged our insurance company, which now won't work with them anymore. They made zero effort to rectify the situation. They do not stand by their work. We had several things accumulated that our RV needed warranty work on and Mike was great to come out to where we store it and help us figure out how to get the work done. He was friendly and polite and even offered to take phone calls on small stuff that would not need a tech call. He and Veronica are both great about getting back to me quickly by text or call and keeping things on schedule. He also referred us to someone to do one of the jobs that was not in his wheelhouse (we needed our water tanks power washed). He was able to get the warranty company to approve all of the repairs that we needed and is working on getting them done as the parts arrive. For starters the customer service is beyond astonishing! The front office lady Veronica was so kind and every responsive when I had many questions. I I hired them to do an inspection on an Rv I was wanting to purchase. They were super honest and were pretty good at giving me an estimate on repairs it would need. Jacob was great! One of our slides lost its bolts on one side, you know, the ones that attach the slide to the rail. Yeah, those bolts! We think they were sheared off when we were knocked off our stabilizing jacks during a blizzard. (That's another story). Anyway, I called and Jacob came to the rescue. We contacted this company Friday 9/11/20 regarding my parents AC going out in their RV they live in. They showed up Saturday 9/12/20 and said it needed a motor and had us pick up a new motor so they could come Sunday after their job up north in the AM, since it was a simple job, according to them. They left the AC off the roof and never showed up Sunday. We contacted them to ask them what was going on or an eta and the girl said " I told you we would squeeze you in" which was not said and then advised my parents just to find another company to do the work. Instead of just telling me they where not interested in the job (installing solar) they told me they don't give quotes, and i would have to leave my vehicle with them for 4 weeks before they would start on it. And once completed they would call with the bill. We are a family with our 12 year old 36 foot Tiffin Allegro visiting from Bay Area on our last let. We pulled into our spot and the next morning there was cold water gushing down out of our ceiling vent in the bedroom! I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND THE RV GUY!! On time, HONEST, no BS guy. I wasn't sure what I was going to get but I am SO glad I called. I was having electrical issues in my '98 Jayco pop up; I was honestly thinking the worst- that the entire system had to be rewired!! Nope! Daniel was nothing short of aces. We were in 101° temps without A/C and 1,300 miles away in our Class C rig. If troubleshooting was like the Old West, Doc Holiday would have never cleared leather and ended up on Boot Hill if he faced Daniel. Daniel knew every nook and cranny of our rig (remember - 1,300 miles away) and pinpointed the issue. It would have only taken a few minutes but he spent nearly half an hour on the phone. It took that long as he took the time to explain how the electrical systems work, how they communicate with each other, and exactly what needs to be repaired. He will end up saving us so much money as we roll up to a repair shop armed with the knowledge we would n.e.v.e.r. have know otherwise. We needed a new toilet put in our motorhome, dropped it off and picked it up a few weeks later(we didn't need the rv for a while)..apparently new toilets aren't a direct bolt in and had to use an adapter kit. Worst customer experience of my life. At first things were going smoothly spoke with Veronica to schedule she asked me to send pics of the vehicle I did. Spoke with Mike he asked for more detailed ones, so I sent another 14 or so of the exact points he asked. He said should be an easy fix and quoted me $200. There was then a scheduling mix up that I don't blame veronica for but I ended up with Daniel coming to my house a couple weeks later. Daniel didn't have any parts when he showed up and couldn't do the job. I spent some time speaking with Daniel, told him Mike quoted me $200 and asked if this should change. Daniel said the part he didn't have that was needed costed no more than $20 and shouldn't add much to previous quote. That evening Mike called me, said he was sitting down to order parts, said Daniel said something about $200 wanted to let you know parts themselves would be $150. Obviously I was a little taken back by this, a scheduling error, different mechanic, and now way different price than previously quoted. I tried bringing my concern up to Mike and he immediately lost his cool, he yelled and slammed the phone down on me with no explanation. Yes my mechanic hung up on me because I brought up that one of his guy had quoted me differently and that I wasn't feeling like they were on the same page. I called back to make sure the phone hadn't died and Veronica Mikes wife picked up. We spoke for a couple minutes she tried to explain it away and then ended up saying she agreed with me and said I must do what I feel is right. So here I am. If you need an RV guy definitely find someone else.. this guys will yell curse and hang up on you if you have even the smallest concern with how things are being handled.... He is also not the simple I will come visit you that they try sell, they push you to come to the shop which is a 45 minute drive for me in an RV thats sewer isn't completely attached. And he will probably not show up with the right parts then say they are way more expensive then hang up on you when you are asking for more of an explanation. 0 stars - will let everyone in my local RV network know not to use these guys ever unless you want to be treated like dirt as a customer. P.S I understand things change when you see something in person, the mechanic knows this too and has to deal with it all the time so maybe work on explanation when asked instead of getting angry cursing and HANGING THE PHONE UP on a customer. read more

I never leave reviews, but Mike saved our vacation. We were passing through the Phoenix area on our vacation, and the air conditioner on our RV went out in the middle of the desert. It was 109 degrees out, so lack of AC was a huge problem. We hit town and the RV park where we planned to spend the night, highly recommended Mike. I can't thank the guys at RV Guy enough for their help. The installed my washer/dryer combo in my Grand Design Solitude GK310 in about two and a half hours.
