I've known Martin wayyyy back from when he used to do mobile onsite RV repair a long time ago when I had my RV parked in my driveway that had the water heater fail and spring a leak from not doing preventative maintenance that I didn't know I needed to do. Well, he knew right away what to do and replaced the broken part within minutes!!!! All the while making me laugh and feel at ease! Such a funny guy! He no longer does mobile on-site repair these days since he got his shop but I think it is much better that way since he has all the tools that he needs right there to work in such a big shop for a speedy quality repair. He's done the full spectrum of upgrades and repairs for me over the years for really reasonable prices! I've gone to many other RV repair places in the past before him but never have they matched the level of knowledge, passion, quality repair work, service and reliability that continues to this day at the RV Repair guy shop in Long Beach with his team of mechanics! Their solar panel system installations seriously can't be matched in quality work, safety detail and design. These guys can do it all! Highly impressed with their pricing too! Nowadays it is getting increasingly difficult to find quality RV repair work these days with so many RV shops closing down but thankfully Martin and his team have been a great pillar of support to the RV community! I've referred him to every single Southern California RV owner I know and even though I moved away to San Diego, I don't mind at all driving up to his shop to get anything done from preventative maintenance, to repairs and upgrades! They never let me down! Look no further than these champs and let's keep them going as they are a wonderful asset to Southern California especially the RV owners here! My RV was stolen from this location. We went to court to settle the dispute and the only thing he stated that if you signed the arbitration we shouldn't be in court. When he paid his first installment, he wanted me to retract my statement of Google, and I told him i will not because he only made one payment to me at that time. He just didn't care about the client, we lost our possessions and someone stole our it right off his lot and he wanted no responsibility. He never apologized for the theft and just tried to convince me to pull back the filing. Just insane! As of date, he stopped paying me, no calls, nothing and truly irresponsible. read more

This place is a nightmare of poor skills, terrible customer service, overpriced services, and poor to negligible communication. If you can get through to them they often will not have any idea what is happening. They held my vehicle for over a month with no real updates. Each fix seemed to make things worse. I would get new and different quotes for the same services depending on their mood. There is also at least one guy when I was there living in a van in the shop perennially smoking weed. I'm all for freedom but dude... this is a mechanic shop with dangerous tools and customer vehicles. They aren't insured and they aren't on BBB so there is little recourse outside of direct legal action so beware. read more

My new to me rv had been sitting and it needed to be checked out and fixed. The RV Repair Guy went through the systems, took care of the stupid security system, oh, and the decals, he took care of it, and got it up to go on a journey. After a couple of months, a leak was detected in the levelers. The RV Repair Guys went through, trying to find out why, even called for directions from the manufacturer. Martin was patient with my questions & concerns, he explained what was going on, showed me how to and what to do with the different components. This place is amazing, 100% recommend. Martin most definitely knows his stuff!. I am a mobile dog groomer. My Ram Sprinter is my lively hood. If something goes wrong I'm out hundreds if I have to cancel a day. So my inverter was not working. I made an appointment with Martin for my day off Monday. I dropped off at 9am and he got to work at 4pm, completely understandable I could see he runs a very busy shop. He called me frequently and kept me updated on what he was doing and if it was OK to continue further after him telling me the price om what needed to be changed.. Well it turns out I was driving a ticking time bomb AND MARTIN DEFUSED IT! I bought the groomimg truck used. I'm not very mechanically inclined so in wouldnt mess with the back area too much. There were loose wires everywhere, there was no breaker box. It runs on inverter which releases gasses. One wrong spark and I could have gone up in flames. Martin replaced the faulty inverter. Mine was 2000 watts, I upgrades to 3000. He tightened all the loosed wires and added a breaker box for added safety. Martin knew I had to work the next day so HE WORKED UNTIL 11PM to get my van back to me. For that I am truly grateful that he is respectful of my work and truly did an amazing job. He definitely charges his worth and he is worth every single penny for his knowledge and skill. I have gone to MANY different RV mechanics, now I don't need to else where. From now on if I have a problem. I will be making an appointment here. Don't be stupid and look for cheaper alternatives. You get what you pay for here. Also my van is running beautifully. It runs anywhere from 8 to 12 hours a day no issues. read more

Another satisfied customer! Had some house battery charging issues in my Class B van and suspected the Balmar voltage regulator. But there are many links in the chain. Brought it to Lucas and Martin at RV Repair Guy. They were very communicative for drop off and pickup, as well as along the way as parts needed to be ordered after they diagnosed the issue. Very easy place to get to. I was very pleased with how pleasant and knowledgable Martin and the other techs were. Took three weeks, but that was in part due to needing to order a new regulator. They charged no markup on the parts and fixed it promptly once they arrived. In the end, very happy to find a trustworthy RV repair vendor, specifically one that is adept at solar, inverters, lithium batts and all the pieces that make them work together.
