    Cute little Salad bar

For those of you hitting the January detox I would 100% recommend this place. Perfectly located between Old Street and Barbican, you can grab a healthy and delicious salad that's filling and full of flavour! They change their menu daily and offer a great selection of extras for a £1 including freshly cooked chicken and halloumi! Today's salad specials were a vine tomato, red onion, parsley mixed bean and feta salad, house slaw with freshly made mayo, spiced aubergine with bulgar wheat. Served with fresh lead salad and extra chicken. Each salad had its own unique taste and all complemented each other perfectly! I was in salad heaven! My favourite by far was the mixed bean - the parsley beans really stood out and amongst the flavours and I couldn't get enough. Definitely going to be a regular for me!

Bit of everything in my large salad box with chicken and free croutons!! £5.50

If you feel like you need to up the amount of vitamins into your body, this is the place. Big portions of fresh salad, choice to add in chicken or halloumi cheese for an extra £ each. Free salad dressings to choose from, free crotons, cheap price. There's usually a short queue here at lunch times and you are expected to take food away but there are limited seating inside. Good thing is you can pay by card, and service is pretty friendly!

Delicious! You get a lot of salad for your money and I love the grilled halloumi. Fresh, quick, and healthy.

This place could be considered "fast food" only because all the food is already premade and is either heated up (for the calzones) or plated (for the salads). Once you walk in, you're sort of in a queue already cafeteria-style and the employees get your food (a la cafeteria ladies). Not a complaint but just an observation as it's not a typical sit-down restaurant. The best thing about this place are the prices. The prices were lower than I expected.. One warning, the calzones can be quite bread-y, meaning 50% of it might be the dough and you might not get meat until the second half of it. My friends got the buffalo chicken which was a better deal, in my opinion. Either way, I would come back here again if I had a craving for Italian. Lots of people go up to the rooftop but I didn't go both times I went so I guess you should check it out for yourself. There is a bar as well but I can't speak to that as I went during work lunch...

Vivo is a cafeteria style cafe near Islington Green and its really a-okay in terms of offerings…read more Nicely styled, the cafe is relatively new and features hidden pizza ovens to warm pre-prepared pizzas, prepared deli salads, dessert and a beverage bar with a nice craftsman La Marzocco machine. There were nice fresh offerings, all made up prior, which can either be served up or reheated according to your preference. The decor is super modern, stylish and very elegant for a cafe, and the food looks fabulous in the case, but the actual food quality and the service is just alright, but short of terrific. Still, a nice stop if you want a quick bite while out shopping, but its hard for me to get terribly excited about reheated pizza.
