Delicious food. I usually don't stop at food trucks by myself but I saw this place. This place was really good. Decided to stop by got the carne torta. They move from locations to location check them out.

    Best food truck in town!

I've been to my share of food trucks in my day. Recently, this truck started posting up near my work at the corner of 17th street and Santa Ana Ave. After seeing half our staff constantly stuffing their faces with delicious looking Mexican food, I decided to give it a whirl! They offer a variety of menu items that all look delicious. My coworker swears by the quesadilla that looked stuffed with carne asada! I've only got the tacos and don't see the need to venture any further as I'm so happy every time I get them! The Al Pastor is the best I've had EVER! Tacos are better than any brick and mortor place in town! The salsa is really where it's at! Can thank you guys enough for parking next to our place! A must try!!!

The good, the bad and my personal recommendation. This place is awesome!! They are here to stay, they have a permit from the city and we are so happy because the food is bomb. So I'm getting a haircut and one of the guys says he is going for tacos and if anyone wanted one. I ordered just one and it was supper yummy. I called the wide and told her that I was bringing home dinner. That was a week again and today is my 3rd time getting food to go. Everything is good, the tacos are great and the taquitos are awesome. They have several sales to choose from and I like the green and also the orange. If there was something we could but in the "bad" category it would be that they don't have a traditional red Mexican salsa. I highly recommend that you order the chicken tacos and also the chicken taquitos. My wife, the kids and even grandma loved them. This place is awesome and I hope you check them out.

    Do it for the tacos!

There are NOT words to express how much I LOVE this taco truck! I eat here every Thursday, and they treat me so great! There are no better tacos in Southern California. They seriously treat me like family and the food is always in point. If you want to find out where they are on any given night just give them a call.

SO good, everything is amazing. There is not one bad item on the menu. Also, their salsas are AWESOME!! My favorites are the orange salsa and the green creamy salsa

Great tacos. Good taste. They use yellow tortilla, total game changer. Recommended, if you live in Costa Mesa. They post up on Costa Mesa on Newport Blvd and Hamilton.

I brushed it off and tried to stay polite, but the attitude continued. While waiting for my order, I noticed him talking to his coworkers in the back while looking over at me, which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I eventually called him out because there was no reason to treat a paying customer that way. Everyone has stressful days, but that's not an excuse to be rude or mock customers for placing an order. The food may be good, but customer service matters just as much. I hope management addresses this because no customer should feel embarrassed or disrespected simply for ordering food.

There is also some outdoor seating available to the left of the restaurant or at 1954 bakery. They offer the usual taco meats, burritos, and beer. We ordered two Baja Fish Burritos, what was supposed to be two California Burritos, and a churro. There was a mix-up with our order, but the staff was incredibly nice and ended up comping a California Burrito. In my eyes, the customer service was impeccable. The employees were constantly cleaning tables, picking up after guests, and helping everyone who came through the door. The atmosphere is very casual with a street-food vibe. If you don't want to wait for a seat, takeout, eating outside, or even enjoying your meal in your car are all good options. They also gave us complimentary churros in exchange for a review. The flavor was good, but the texture wasn't quite what we're used to. The inside was a little chewy and soft, whereas we prefer a crispier, hollow-style churro. As for the food, the Baja Fish Burrito was excellent--crispy fish with plenty of fresh vegetables. The California Burrito was also very tasty and packed with generous chunks of steak. The size of the burritos are pretty big. For the price point, service, and food quality, we would definitely come back.

I love this place. I meet here on a weekly basis for some volunteer groups. I love the staff the…read moreenvironment- love the quality of the produce provided. Affordable price points - I understand this is a tough economy - HOWEVER I have heard the pricing can fluctuate between this gentrified version and other locations throughout traditionally lower socioeconomic areas - which is fine -- I get it - it's a nice flagship store - you're capitalizing on the nuances and novelty of it all- which again. Whatever -- I do however notice in the few weeks - as a regular weekly customer - the same exact items that I get have DROPPED IN QUALITY while simultaneously INCREASING IN PRICE!!! And we aren't talking about small cost of living increases - these are dabbling if not diving full fucking head first into price gouging. EG - my favorite Vanilla shake & mini churro combo that used to save me a dollar on if I buy the items individually ( I think it was $12-)15?) UP TO $17. No more mini churros. I don't even think I saw them on the menu anymore -- aka you're forced to pay for larger sizes and prices. . . Which one would think ok ... that's somewhat fine -- BUT NO. The smoothie I've been buying for over a year and a half now - ALMOST on a weekly basis - is so fucking WATERY. It's ricidiculous. It used to be so thick and cream and decadent. I've been wondering for the last month wtf is it a new employee -- has my shake been sitting here melting away the last 4-5 weeks? No. It's fresh off the blender and just thinner across the board. Such a shame. Same thing for my lovely Chicken Asado Verde Soup - WAS FUCKING AMAZING !!! And the price point was something like 32 ox for $12. I used to rant and rave with coworkers and friends that this soup is spectacular and although pricey at "$12" (for me) - I went it again over the months - and thought I want some delicious soup that taste like grandmas. I ordered it - I noticed the new slew of containers. Didn't think much. Glances at the prices - said I'll take the large - WHICH IS A NEW "family style" My $12 portion - SAME SIZE NOW - $32 (yes) THIRTY EFFING TWO DOLLARS. Call me a fat ass - but that CANNOT feed - maybe an Ethiopian or anorexic family - but for one moderately high BMI - American. Which I get everything is fucking super sized - but to see price points increase SIGNIFICANTLY - while decreasing quality - seems like a quick recipe for distaste that I hope whomever is managing the restaurant presto side of things - really advocates for the quality and fair price points that made this flag ship a store to love. I hate to bitch and moan - and I'm sure my volunteer group won't want to change our flexible situation - but I've began to notice people just bring outside food in - and have their meals with us. Which is fine - I might have to do the same - because come on - upping pricing. Lowering quality. It's like Matilda's father throwing sawdust in the engine. Be better. Anyways heed my warning - at those price points for *certain* premade items - just take your ass to Erewhon - at least I expect my ass is going to hurt when I leave.

Home made shells are a big draw for me. Tried a few things.. Carnitas taco was the winner with the green sauce they give you on the side.. The Carne Asada taco was a close second place and that is great on its own but if you add the red sauce they give you on the side it takes it to a new level. Fish taco came in 3rd place but not by much. Very good, lightly fried and crispy... better than most. Order the chips and salsa.. that is sooo worth it... They have fresh Iced Tea which is nice as most places just go the easy route with powdered tea from A soda machine.. this is much nicer than that. The pastor was pre-cut pork chunks that had an odd texture with canned pineapple chunks added in. For a place that touts fresh tortillas, why were the chips directly from a bag that looked and tasted like something from the dollar store? The corn tortillas from Trader Joe's had more authenticity than the yellow discs they have to offer for tacos. Northgate Mercado is right down the street, for goodness sake- work out a deal to buy fresh from them and serve that to your customers. I was so grossly disappointed with everything this place had to offer and that doesn't happen that often.
