I used to genuinely enjoy this place and ordered weekly because the food was always delicious. Unfortunately, my last experience was extremely disappointing. The quesadillas were overly greasy, and the carne asada was almost entirely fat with barely any actual meat. We ended up throwing away the entire order, which was around $70. What's disappointing is that this was the first bad experience we had after many good orders. I stopped ordering for weeks, but decided to give the place another chance today. I politely mentioned what happened previously, not to ask for a refund or discount, but simply as constructive feedback so the business could improve. Instead of hearing me out or apologizing, they became offended and told me to order elsewhere. That response says a lot about the difference between simply selling food and actually knowing how to run a successful business. Customer feedback even negative feedback is valuable when handled professionally. Real, authentic tacos! The prices are amazing, and the quality is excellent. I've tried a variety of their tacos: chorizo, al pastor, chicken and nopales. The nopales were a first for me and I thought it was interesting and unique. All are delicious, but the best would be the chorizo. So flavorful! My spicy tolerance isn't that high, so all of their salsas are really spicy for me. There's usually a line, which is a testament to how good this food truck business is. Got some food from this truck last night and it was truly some of the best I've had! Seriously reminded me of the delicious grub we got in Mexico City. I got a vegetarian quesadilla with nopales, huitlacoche and flor de calabaza (squash blossoms). My family ordered tacos and a torta. I'm usually not a fan of tortas, but surprisingly, I absolutely enjoyed this one. The salsas are also on point. I'm not even a fan of green tomatillo salsa and loved this one. Everything is made from scratch so it will take a bit of time (know this and stop whining). We went early and there was one customer ahead of us. Decent. It's pretty unusual finding CDMX food in Orange County, yet here's a food truck that's named after it. I was passing by when I saw the name "CDMX," which I KNEW I had to try it out. CDMX Street Food (Ciudad de Mexíco), is a street food truck that serves tacos as well as more unusual options like huaraches and squash blossom quesadillas in a manner fairly similar to what you'd find in Mexico City. I've seen all of these foods when I was in Mexico City and I was happy to see some stuff again that usually isn't found in the US. I'm not sure if it's here everytime, but I found it on Baker/Enterprise St in Costa Mesa. If you're passing by, look for a green truck. I was greeted by a nice woman in perfect English, and the order took about 15 minutes with a small line of about 5 people ahead of me. Note that it's CASH or VENMO ONLY. Salsas (Red and Green): 5/5 I liked these. A must-get if you get any food. The red had a smokey taste while the green one was hot and numbing. Both delicious and made the food way better. The green one has kept me pretty warm well after eating it. Pambazo ($9): 4/5 Great texture and delicious. A decently large crunchy wrap with Tinga con Pollo, which basically is chipotle peppers with shredded chicken, unsalted cheese, lettuce, and abodo sauce. Only complaint is by looks alone it was a tad burnt outside. Not a problem, as the chicken made up for it. Tacos: ($1.75 each): 4/5 It's not going to beat $0.30 tacos from Mexico City but it does the job. Tortillas are fresh. They are fairly small but that's typically the sizes that you get in CDMX as well. Fired up to order, so the asada and the pastor had a nice crunch from the meat on it. I do wish it was seasoned harder, but that's definitely my taste buds being numb from the salsa. Since I miss going to CDMX, this would have to do for the time being. Pretty unique spot that may seem the same as other spots until you look closer and find that it's pretty different from other Mexican places. Definitely returning to try their tlacoyos and blossom quesadillas next time. While it doesn't compare to the REALLY good CDMX foods from La Condesa or Roma Norte, it's still pretty good and I did enjoy it. read more

This is a true true hidden gem. This is the best taco truck in Orange County, fresh made tortilla, house made hot sauce. Brisket tacos!!!!! God damn I'm so happy I found this on a late night after getting off work. Was about to go to del taco and I see this taco truck parked on Bristol and enterprise. I changed my mind on del taco and decided to try this truck out. This truck is noting flashy or have the expensive decals on its side, it's just a regular taco truck. But when you walk up you are greeted by a husband and wife team. They always have a smile when you approach. But then you see the food options, you won't find some of food they are offering in restaurants. But when you have their food your hooked for life and plan to chase this truck where ever it is.
