I don't even know how to begin saying how great Marianne and Joe is! They are so awesome I just want to go to every person I meet that is getting married, just dating and heck, even single and shake them until they agree to book Marianne and Joe! If I am ever in need of photography work done at any point in my life, I will make it a priority to try and book Marianne first. I might even start saving to fly her out to wherever I am so I can guarantee that my special moments in life are just as gorgeous as my wedding photos! Husband and I worked directly with Marianne (before she and Joe were the hotness that they are together, though he was present at our wedding!) and - lucky for us - she regularly visits Phoenix because she has family here, so we were able to figure out a date and time that coincided with her visit to get our engagement photos. She met us in Sedona for the day and had a million wonderful ideas. We changed outfits in our car, we were so excited about the next shots, and eagerly jumped when she asked us (nicely) to. Throughout the shoot, she took our ideas into consideration and suggested ways to make them work, while still being able to capture some more candid photos. It never felt awkward or weird to be intimate with each other while she was snapping photos of us, and she made us feel at ease the whole time. Once the engagement photos were finished and sent to us, we couldn't believe how wonderful they turned out! The tones she uses in post production (which was very minimal) and her ability to use natural lighting to her advantage are only a few of the reasons we could give for why we were happy to hire her for our wedding. In all honesty, her services (and talents and charm) were probably the best investment we made for our wedding, not just for price, but for the amazing memories she captured. The wedding went off without a hitch, we had a million and one photos taken of us and our family and friends, and everyone had a great time. We never felt that she was breathing down our necks or in the way, yet she managed to snap all of the important, intimate photos that we will forever cherish! The second I decide to have a kid, you can bet I'll be calling her for maternity photos! And if I ever lose this weight my hips won't let go of, maybe I'll venture into the boudoir scene for hubs (shh, don't tell him). She's that talented. When we first met Marianne and Joe, we immediately loved their vibe, energy, and the sheer amazingness of their photos. Also, I personally think one of the best things about having them as our photographers is the fact that they are a husband/wife team. My husband and I feel that we are a team and really loved the fact that as we were getting married, we would have a duo that was in the exact same place...totally in love and it shows! Plus, we were blown away by all their photos and knew right away they were the photographers for us. During our engagement session they made us feel comfortable and let us have a lot of fun with everything. When we received our images we were thrilled! When it came time for the wedding, they were extremely helpful leading up to the big day. They were always super responsive and on top of things. From getting ready, to the ceremony, to the reception they were so on top of things...when a circle of dancing formed late in the night they even jumped in and caught the crowd from an awesome angle and showed off some moves! I was lucky enough to find Marianne and Joe while browsing through the hundreds of wedding photographers on yelp/the knot/weddingchannel/etc. My fiance and I live in San Francisco but were having our wedding down in Redondo Beach to accommodate my family who are from LA. I didn't have time to have face-to-face interviews with any of my vendors (which I DO NOT recommend doing) so had to take a leap of faith and choose one blindly. When I emailed Marianne, she suggested the man and I give her a call so we could talk. We thought it would be a short convo about rates, times, locations, etc. However, Marianne really took the time to get to know us a little, as well as share some info about her and Joe. After we booked, she was very flexible in scheduling our engagement photos (taken right before we went food tasting at our venue). She even went a little early to "scope out" ideal locations to shoot. We were short on time so they were very efficient and gave good direction. The day of the wedding, Marianne and Joe had a +1, which was not expected but greatly appreciated. I barely noticed them snapping away yet we have TONS of pictures! I had a very tight timeline with the wedding and they were able to work with that. They took some amazing photos and had the proofs ready for us in less than a month! I would highly recommend these two for any photo needs you have, be it wedding, engagement, pregnancy, whatever. Marianne and Joe make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and beautiful on film. Not to mention, their prices are unbeatable for the quality you are given. Marianne and Joe Sanada are a husband and wife duo who are absolutely amazing photographers and wonderful people. They came to do our engagement photos, and it was immediately apparent that they knew their stuff! They are also really friendly and put you at ease. They also came with me to tour our venue to make sure there were plenty of great places to shoot portraits on the day of. On the day of the wedding they were absolute lifesavers. You can tell they are truly pros. The day would not have run as smoothly if it weren't for Joe and Marianne. Their attention to detail is so wonderful. Not only were they paying attention to photos, etc. but helped with flowers (I'm pretty sure Joe may have pinned my husband's boutonniere on him), and certain other parts of the day. They also showed up earlier than scheduled, which was nice as that put me at ease too. We also had them shoot a wedding video and so they had two second shooters who were really friendly, and we enjoyed having them around as well. Now, on to the pictures. They are amazing! Repeat, amazing! I loved our engagement photos, and our wedding photos are just as fabulous. They captured every detail and so many special moments. I really got to re-live our wedding day just looking through all of the beautiful images. All of my friends who have seen the photos are in awe of them. I feel so fortunate to have had such a professional, talented, friendly group to capture such a magical day. The turnaround time for the photos was super fast as well. I haven't received the wedding video yet (as editing video takes more time), but I just couldn't wait to write a review of Marianne Wilson Photography. I first fell in love with marianne and joe just by looking at their website and their photos. I could see how insanely talented and creative they are. I fell in love with them the second time when we met them for our engagement shoot! They are so sweet and easy to work with! Marianne and Joe are by far the nicest people that I have ever met!! They are an amazing team that work so well together. I was so happy when I came across them while planning our wedding. We live across the country in New Jersey and were planning a wedding in California, and even though we could not met in person they were more than willing to met with us via Skype and there was an instant connection, and I felt that they had know each other for a very long time. They were more than willing to work with us to get our engagement shots done two days before the wedding, so that they know how we photograph and interact with each other. My husband had surgery one week before the wedding and burst all the blood vessels in his eyes and they were more than willing to work with his freaky looking eyes and make him look like nothing was wrong.
