We went there to watch football and try a few beers since we heard they had a nice selection. When we first arrived, dance music was playing rather than sports, the staff could not figure out how to resolve that for awhile, but they did eventually get the game sound on. The Sandbar advertises over 30 beers on tap, but the selection was not inspiring, all are available at any decent distributor. Another issue is no free refills on soda, they pack the cup with ice and charge $2 for every one, never been to a place that does that. Finally, the drinks are pretty pricey there, the final straw that caused us to leave. Not sure what the break down was, but it was about $15 a round for 3 draft beers (one micro, two not) and a diet Pepsi. read more

There is a great selection of beers - thirty on draft at any given time. They just revamped their menu and have thirty different wing flavors now. Their dry cajun and Jamaican Jerk are fantastic. It's definitely a "beach bar" away from the beach with great service, laid back music, and plenty of outdoor space to sit. read more

If I could give this place a negative star I would! Got charged twice on my card for a shitty pizza. The owner came by and after I explain to him I got charged twice he crinkled up the bill and threw it at me! In front of a two year old I might add. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm correct to question why I'm being charged twice. After I confronted him he got in my husbands face screaming. DONT GO HERE! He should be arrested. read more

Love this bar. Especially in the summer. Lots of beers on tap and decent food. Great outdoor patios. *Do Not order the spinach dip unless you want to be breathing garlic for a month. It's terrible. read more

Went here with a group of coworkers before a meeting to have a few appetizers, and our waitress was extremely inattentive. We waited about 15-20 minutes AFTER we had finished our food for our bill, with the server nowhere to be found. Got to the point where we had 5 minutes to get to our meeting so we left cash (plus tips) on the table and left, only to be CHASED INTO THE PARKING LOT by our waitress where she then accused us of not paying our bill. DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT OR CHARGE CARD! My fiance and I went here on July 6, 2014 for dinner. Our bill was $45.12 , we used my debit card and wrote cash for the tip and $45.12 for total. We left a cash tip on our table. Well I check my bank account once a week, and tAmanda the waitress added $5.00 to my card on top of her cash tip! I call to talk to manager and get a voice mail every time! I know it's only $5.00 , it's just the fact that she did it! How many others has she done this to! read more

Came here last year a couple of times and food and drinks were good, staff friendly. Came in tonight. Mixed drinks were the weakest we have ever had anywhere. Was there last night. Beer was cold, mixed drinks were good,prices on beer average,mixed drinks pricey but worth it, Two bar maids,1 blonde, 1 brunette, brunette was rude. I like service with a smile and friendly service,if you can't do that you have no business serving the public.I spent 50 bucs on drinks, because of the rudeness of the brunette bar tender, I left, went across the street to Joe Roots, spent another 80 bucs on dinner and went home. My wife and I along with a group of friends went to the Sandbar for drinks and dinner. The experience was awful. The waitress / server, after taking our order ( group of 12), not only did not know who ordered what food or drink, two of us never received our meals. If that wasn't bad enough, after dining, the waitress stated "I don't know how many drinks or what meals any of us ordered, and asked if we could write on a napkin what we had for dinner and what drinks and the quantity in order to provide our checks." After all of this, in an attempt to pay our bill at the register along with our group, my wife and I were first charged $29.00 +; however, prior to signing our receipt, the waitress / server than removed the receipt, swiped our card again and charged us $96.00 +. Upon our request to speak to a manager about being charged twice, requesting a refund, only for the $96.00 + charges, my wife and I were verbally abused by the owner, screamed at and told "we were only looking to get a free meal and drinks." Even after explaining, again, we will gladly pay for our meal and drinks (that my wife and I had to write down on a napkin), but I'm not willing to pay an additional $96.00 + in charges, the owner finally credited our credit card but in the process, continued to scream at us and told us "not to come back" as if any of this was our fault. The entire experience was awful! I would NEVER walk in the door or recommend "The Sandbar" to anyone. Unfortunately, I am not alone in our experience. read more

Terrible Management. I had went to the sandbar for the first time over the summer. I found a purse on the bathroom floor and turned it in to the bar and 10 minutes later one of the waitresses accused me of stealing the money in it. The bar owner and his rude wife came over and starting screaming at our party. I explained to them what happened and they demanded I gave them my money to cover it. I refused and told him he would have to call the cops if he thought I stole money out of the purse I turned in. He then we were escorted out. I have never been treated like that EVER in an establishment and I could not believe I was being accused of something for doing the right thing and turning in their purse. I have talked to a few people who also said they experienced similar rudeness. The 2 drinks I bought tasted like complete cranberry juice with no vodka. They will never get 1 cent of my business. read more
