On a beautiful Saturday evening, we had the beach almost to ourselves at about 6/7pm. Walked a few shoreline miles in each direction and wondered how I was EVER going to return to "landlocked" Ohioooooo a few days later!! Love to watch the sunsets here. My favorite local beach when visiting family. I think residents pay 10 dollars or so per car. Parking never an issue for us.

We had no issues finding parking closest to the walkway that leads to the beach, as it was so early that there weren't many people at the beach yet. The parking lot is very big and accommodates a lot of cars. I would highly recommend coming early to get a good parking spot (we didn't pay a parking fee) since it is a long walk from the parking lot to the actual beach. The pathway that leads from the parking lot is so helpful when you're carrying a cooler and all of your beach essentials and don't have to trek through the actual sand. The beach is beautiful and they have a newly renovated building called The Gatsby that has a restaurant with big windows overlooking the beach. Next time I go, I will make sure to try the restaurant. Behind the beach, is also a big public pool if you don't like the beach or sand. It has a $5 admission fee and has the capacity for about 150 people. A great day at the beach indeed.
