For those of you facing the difficult decision of buying your first home, our experience with Donovan Schemke has to be shared! When we made the most important purchase of our lives we trusted Donovan to help us navigate this difficult and red hot housing market. It turned out to be the best decision we could have ever made. During our 6 month search, Donovan was always working for us. At a moment's notice, he was willing to show us homes and answer any questions we had. FIRST TIME HOME BUYER - COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH HER EXPERIENCE My journey started over a year ago, I lived in a different state (Washington) so as you can imagine communication and trust was key! A year ago, I came to visit one weekend to look at homes, Ashley (who is Donovan's assistant) picked me up from the airport (how sweet!) and dropped me off with Pamela (Donovan's business partner/mom; Donovan was out of town at the time). Pamela showed me several houses but I ended up not moving forward and returned back to Washington State. Note--- Pamela was super sweet, had a motherly vibe, and I could tell she really cared about what I wanted and about my safety. Since I was in a different state and unable to view additional homes on my own, Donovan would send me videos of him walking through and explaining the tid bits of the house. He would give me his thoughts on certain things, things that I would have never even thought of, which was very helpful, especially since I wasn't able to view the home myself. We searched and searched, but still... no luck! So I decided to move to California, rent out an apartment and after nearly a year, my lease was coming to an end and I reached back out to Donovan. I really wanted to find a new home, I was anxious and without realizing it, I was rushing... Donovan brought this to my attention and said he would go see 100 houses with me if we needed to. This reminded me not to settle. It reminded me that I needed to find a home I really loved! Which, I'm grateful I listened, because now I'm in a home I really LOVE. Needless to say, I am very happy with my experience and felt like I could really trust them! Which I feel like is huge. You should definitely be able to trust your realtor. Donovan doesn't return calls. You have to chase him down for everything. He is unreasonable about his expectations for selling. He wanted me to gut my entire kitchen rather than paint the cabinets. That's a 50k investment in a home I want to leave. He doesn't have time to help sellers with questions and wants it handed to him without any bother. I wouldn't work with him on a bet. Find yourself a better agent, this guy isn't worth your time. read more

Donovan treated us like family! When we moved my father out of state from California, we left the sale of his house in the hands of Donovan Schemke. I was worried since we left the house rather quickly and unable to take care of some much needed repairs. Donovan took complete charge of the situation. After his inspection of the house, he made suggestions and helped set up bids for work that needed to be done. Buying a house is a stressful experience overall but not when you have a great Schemke team on your side!!!!! I highly recommend Donovan Schemeke to anyone looking to sell a new home or apartment, but especially people who are new to the selling process. I am a first time seller, and needed guidance in a few regards. Donovan moved quick and was a fabulous guide around the market of Sonoma/Napa, gave us frank, constructive advice regarding places that were competitive.
