My husband and I had the pleasure of renting a home from Jodie's company, Professional Property Management, for the past three years. When we were initially looking for a home, we wanted something a little further from Travis AFB since I was doing my rotations in Sacramento. Luckily, they had a house for rent at about the halfway point to make my and my husband's commute tolerable. We spent our first couple years of marriage there and even added to our family, so we were a bit sad to move. Jodie is professional and very prompt with communication. If we ever had an issue, we just had to either call or text him and it was handled within a reasonable time frame. He was in close communication with the owner as well, which is likely why things were taken care of promptly. When we had issues with our bank transferring our rent, we also communicated that with him, so we were able to just drop off a check instead. We were able to make some temporary upgrades to the home while renting with them as well. We added a smart thermostat and a doorbell camera without any issues. My husband and I were sure to re-install the existing doorbell and thermostat upon moving. Since we moved from the Bay Area towards the Sacramento Valley, we were able to rent a home for the same price (if not cheaper) as the apartments and some townhomes by the surrounding areas of Travis AFB. That being said, we got the best bang for our buck in that regard. Even with the extra expenses of having a house, such as hiring a gardener for biweekly maintenance and trash & recycling pick-up, the price for renting was still more than reasonable. We rented a home in Suisun City for four years (Nov 2020 - Nov 2024), managed by Joe. We couldn't have had a better experience. Every time that we had questions, they were answered quickly and to our satisfaction. The few times that we needed maintenance, the handyman was scheduled straight away and fixed whatever had to be done. The negotiation of our rent amounts were handled very much to our satisfaction. We are active duty military, and only left because we have to sent to another base. Should we return to Travis AFB we could only hope to have a property manager as helpful and responsive. read more

The air filter had not been replaced in over 3 years even though I requested my system be serviced. My wood floors were destroyed. The condition of the house led me to believe that there was no way PPM ever checked on my house. They replaced items in the house with out contacting me and what really amazed me was that they replaced things with inferior products all at my expense. I couldn't recommend PPM more! Jodie was always incredibly helpful with all of our needs from initial move-in to when we left. If we ever had a minor maintenance issue, he responded right away and would send the proper personnel very quickly. The handyman Juan was always very prompt, respectful, and skilled. He would even show up later in the evening if the situation warranted, and if he needed more time or equipment, he would show up first thing in the morning to complete the job. When we were moving out, Jodie was very accommodating to our timelines. It made what is usually a very stressful time so much easier knowing that he was understanding to our needs and was able to adjust as necessary. Picking the right property management company for a house rental can be a huge ordeal, especially for families who already have enough stress on their plate when they're preparing for an out of state move, or for military members like us that are PCSing (permanent change of station). But all of our questions and hesitation as first-time landlords were quickly put to rest the moment we met Jodie and Sandra. They've been in the business for 20+ years, with almost half of their clients being affiliated with the military. Being a two-person company also gives them the edge over others, as they're more selective when taking on clients so they are able to provide a more personalized service. Our first meeting was pretty straightforward. Both of them were pleasant and very knowledgeable. They communicated well in terms of contract agreements. Their fees are also very competitive, and of course they would not charge you until they fill vacancies. Sandra maintains the company website where they advertise the property with detailed descriptions and photos. They also utilize AHRN, a housing military network website so it has maximum visibility for military members looking to relocate to Travis AFB. They actually found our tenants, who also happened to be a young military family relocating from overseas through ARHN (and within 1 week of posting the ad!) Whenever people asks me about my property managers, I always tell them, "Outstanding. I almost never hear from them." I say this because they don't usually bother me with the small stuff, but when a major issue comes up, like when kitchen applicance breaks down a few days before Thanksgiving, I get a call within hours to deliberate on how we want to proceed. They are also very prompt with rental deposits and send monthly statements in the mail. I cannot say enough good things with Professional Property Management. About six years ago, we switched from that big property management company in Vacaville. I had no idea what was going with my property, no reports, no six months inspection, it was pretty scary. Then a good military buddy told me about Jodie and his company. I made the switch, and Jodie took care of all the paperwork with the big company. Since then, it's been smooth sailing! Jodie is a very rude person when you can actually get him to pick up the phone. I have called about 3 properties in the last month and he will never return a call. He just texts you about 10 questions and when he doesn't like your answers he says and I quote " this property is not right for you" and will refuse to even let you see it! He has refused to rent to us because we have children and will tell us this property owner does not want kids in their house. This management company is NOT military friendly. Jodie will refuse to show you the house if your move date is not within an "acceptable range" to him which is crazy because as tenants it is up to us if we want to move early and still pay for our last house. I am in the process of reporting them to the base so no one else wastes their time. read more
