This place is not gluten free safe. It does seem like they stepped up and labeled better, which is appreciated! But they scoop glutenous ice cream then put it in the water.... and use that to scoop your gluten free ice cream. You can request a new scoop, but that doesn't really help all the times they already used a glutenous scoop in an ice cream thats gluten free. Easy fix would be to put all gf flavors together, and keep a scoop with them... but they haven't gotten there yet. Most places, you can request fresh scoops from new containers... but here, they want you to call ahead to do that..... and while that might work for most, we usually spur of the moment ice cream people. My family still goes here without me, but I no longer buy large containers to take home. I am not sensitive to cross contamination, but here, I have been getting sick consistently so I just stopped going. read more

We used to love the ice cream here. It doesn't taste as good either. It's a rare treat for us but today the hand packed pint was the equivalent of two large scoops. I grabbed it and it collapsed under just a holding pressure. Why? It was not packed in there well at all. Really disappointed. I think I will stick with The Hub from now on. read more

Mom and I shared a flight (6) little scoops of amazing flavors, some to include sweet cream and honeycomb, eggnog and drinking cowboy. Their flavors are plentiful and well balanced, though I wish they would change a few of the originals out for more variety at this point. Except for the famous honeycomb which is just sinfully good and the ooey gooey butter cake which is decadent. I love cake bits in ice cream. I haven't had a single flavor that wasn't delicious, and I've tried tons of them. They're all very rich and smooth and go down easily. The Screamery are real ice cream pros! They have plenty of toppings available, and their walnuts and fudge are musts. So delicious! Though, the fudge can drown out the ice cream flavors, which isn't always desirable. Regular common cone, 75 cents. Wallfel cone 1.75 extra. Then on top of everything else they charge an additional 8 cents to use a gift card. Over 15 dollars for two small cones! outrageous! You can't get any local ice cream better than at the Screamery. This branch is a bit more low key than the other 2 downtown but still the same excellent quality and same yummy flavors. Yummyyyyy! For the first time ever I had to wait in line and had a chance to actually look at the menu. I've been fortunate that I usually get to order immediately and, because my eyes are bigger than my stomach, I get the first thing that looks amazing, which is everything here! I found out that I don't have to get a massive scoop, I can order a kids scoop which is probably a more appropriate serving for an adult. I also learned they serve "nachos" which are waffle cone pieces surrounding a massive scoop of ice cream topped with hot fudge. One of these days I'm going to order the farmhouse - 8 scoops and unlimited toppings! I recommend the honeycomb, cookies and cream, and I recently tried rough seas (candied nuts with honey swirl and pretzel). I think some flavors are only available for a limited time because I didn't see my beloved cowboy cookie. The only thing I can (barely) complain about is that their handmade waffle cones are thin and fragile. Brought my in-laws from out of state here cause we usually love it so much... We got a banana split, an ice cream in a waffle cone, and FIL got a vanilla milkshake. The milkshake was basically milk and no shake consistency whatsoever in a tiny cup for almost $8, the waffle cone was burnt, and to top it off the large young man with the glasses who helped us had an incredibly bad attitude and kept murmuring curse words and huffing and puffing that he had to get off the counter and help the customers that were such an inconvenience apparently. I'm sorry your job is soo damn rough buddy, but go work elsewhere if that's the case since your hospitality skills are absolute trash!! After hearing good things about the Screamery I thought I'd better check it out. Good location and very friendly staff to greet you with all kinds of information about why their ice cream is the bestest. I was able to taste several different flavors before setting on chocolate peppermint. I thought I'd try that Sonoran Chocolate but was told it was quite fiery. Maybe I'll try it on another day. My final choice was very tasty! I wish they offered more flavors but maybe that will come with time. We love the creamy goodness from The Screamery! This location is very clean and friendly. They were taking Covid precautions by practicing social distancing during ordering, masks, and the employee cleaned everything down after each transaction. The flavors we recently tried were cookies and cream, Mississippi mud pie, triple chocolate and raspberry sorbet and they all were very yummy. My favorite was the Mississippi mud pie!
