Oh my gosh. How am I only now trying this place when it's not far from where I live?! Had a major craving for seafood so I opted to try The Seafood House thanks to other Yelp Reviewers! I ended up getting the two choice combo with crab claws and shrimp. It came with two sides and was only $13.99 for a generous portion. It was so fresh! The shrimp were huge and tails removed! I ordered the catfish po boy and I am a po boy snob so I was hoping for the best and was rewarded. The bread was good and the catfish pieces were large and well seasoned. The pieces were so big i has to stuff them down into the bread. It comes with fries but they were forgettable. You can also buy fresh seafood while your there. The food here is always delicious. The wait can be a little long because they make everything to order, but its definitely worth the wait. And if you don't want to wait, just call in your order ahead of time. They also have a fresh seafood section and a freezer section where you can buy food to prepare at home as well. Fresh boiled crawfish!! Seasoned perfectly! Can't beat the price, what can I say more. So happy that these weren't frozen. There's such a big difference of frozen and live crawfish. Let's say it out loud: The Seafood House is a hole in the wall. Suave and debonair it ain't; really, really good it is. I ordered a while oyster Po'boy dressed all the way. What quickly came out was a tasty roll piled high with really succulent, really sweet, really crispy fried oysters. This was by far the best po'boy I've eaten in a long time. My only quibble: the tomatoes were the pale hothouse type, with little flavor. But those oysters: on my. The sandwich came with crispy battered fries (like the ones Burger King used to serve). Not my favorite style, but since I did manage to eat them all, I guess the German judge gave them top scores. (Sorry, the Olympics are getting the best of me...). My daughter and i were traveling from Ga to TX, we stopped to get some gas and started looking at Yelp for a late lunch and came accross this place. It ia off the beaten path. Few minutes from 65, but worth the side trip. It is a small mom and pop corber shop, with limited parking (we were pulling a small trailer) and currently no tables to sit down and eat at. I cant imagine there would be too mamy available if there were. We hit it at just the right time. Onlybone order ahead of ours. We got the 4b, a snow crab leg portion, 1 lb peeled shrimp, potatoes and corn. I also got 1/2 a shrimp Po Boy just in case i needed it. We ate outside at the back of the vehicle just because it was quick and easy. The Po boy was great!! Loaded with shrimp and dressed just right. The bread was perfect. The 4b was great, plenty of crab and shrimp and seasoned well. The corn was sweet with just the right amount of spice. Alrhough, i have focused on the food, the staff was great as well! With everything being so good, the only thing that i was dissapointed in was they did not make thier own cocktail sauce, but the food did not need it anyway.
