We came to spend Veteran's Day here. For 2021, that was a snowy day. Having just adjusted our clock back for Daylight Savings, the road was dark at 4:30pm. My point is we drove all the way here during bad driving condition and thankfully, The Sebastian didn't disappoint! It also hadn't hit peak season yet so we had a very peaceful, non-crowded stay. We had the pool all to ourselves; wondering about the lobby and public area felt good; and we had a great dinner at the restaurant on site - Leonara. By the time we got home and I started doing laundry, my shirt still carry that wonderful room fragrance from The Sebastian!

Looking for a hotel in Vail, Colorado? A staycation in the mountains? A luxurious retreat with 3,000-acres of skiing in seven huge bowls? The Sebastian, Vail is a 5-star resort located in the heart of Vail, Colorado & it's the perfect place for you (and your furry friend) to enjoy & unwind in the Rocky Mountains. Ross and I stayed at The Sebastian for the first time this year and it certainly won't be the last. During our stay we were in a One Bedroom Residence and we brought our dog Forbes along with us. Upon arrival at The Sebastian, we truly felt like we had arrived somewhere magnificent in the mountains (because we had); the Porte-cochère & lobby of The Sebastian is quintessential Vail in all of it's grandeur with large wooden beams, beautiful stonework, a rod iron chandelier and a blazing rod-iron fireplace. The Sebastian's staff is certainly 5-star and catered to us with speed and professionalism. The valets & front staff greeted us and got us sorted for our stay. Our bags were retrieved from the car and we valeted our car for the weekend - valet parking costs USD 45 per day with in/out privileges. The front desk allowed us to check-in early at 2pm. Check-in is normally at 4pm. Before we headed to our room, the front desk staff gave Forbes a treat (we loved this thoughtful touch). Pets are allowed at The Sebastian for an extra charge of $150 per pet, per stay (Service animals are exempt from fees). For additional details on pet restrictions and to request pet-friendly rooms, contact the property prior to your stay - this is what we did and everything had been taken care of upon our check-in. We chose the One Bedroom Residence for our stay at The Sebastian. The One Bedroom Residence had a bedroom with 1 King Bed, 2 full bathrooms with walk-in showers, a dining area, a sitting area and a porch looking out onto the mountains. The bedroom was nice albeit a little dark (but that's me being incredibly picky lol, I wish the windows in the bedroom were a BIT larger to allow in more natural light). The king bed was super comfortable and we slept like babies. We loved that there were two bathrooms in the One Bedroom Residence so Ross could get out of my hair (literally lol) while I got ready each morning and evening. We all (especially Forbes) loved the porch that was accessible from the dining area. The view and fresh air gave us the full Vail experience. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee out on the porch and listening to Vail wake up. Room Service at The Sebastian was speedy & delicious. We recommend getting some wine and a charcuterie board to start off your stay. For some late night dining, try the elk burger; it was amazing. The One Bedroom Residence is a great spot to entertain if you have friends and family staying in The Sebastian as well. We ordered several drinks from room service and had a little late night cocktail hour one night - so fun! For photo ops within The Sebastian, the lobby & the fireplace makes for a great bouj background. The Sebastian has a gorgeous pool with multiple hot tubs that are heated and ready to use year round. There are several biking and hiking trails right by the hotel that the front-desk can advise you on. The hotel offers bicycle rentals on site. During the winter ski season, Vail Ski Resort is a 2 min walk from the hotel and the Born Free Express Lift is a 15 min walk from the hotel. There are free shuttle services from the hotel to the ski lifts. The Sebastian offers ski equipment rentals and storage for hotel guests. The Sebastian is in the perfect location in Vail to walk to some of my favorite places: - Leonora - located within The Sebastian. Go for dinner and make sure to get the churros for dessert! - Vintage - my favorite place for brunch in Vail. Get the bottomless mimosas, avocado toast & pancakes. - Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory - sweet snacks. The milk chocolate fudge slaps! - La Tour - French Bistro. Amazing dinner spot with superb wines and a fun knowledgeable staff. - Fall Line Kitchen & Cocktails - craft cocktails in beautiful glasses with open bay windows to enjoy the outdoors while you're indoors.

Perfect location ! Right in the heart of Vail Village. Walk to everywhere! We stayed at the 1 bedroom suite with two full baths. Comfortable bed, feather pillows, beautiful bathrooms! Hotel has a nice restaurant that we went for breakfast and a spa. Beautifully decorated lobby and all the surroundings. Make sure you explore, we biked all over Vail and got to see so much more that when we come down in the winter to ski. Great trip! Thank you Sebastian and will definitely be back!

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and library where I sat when I had to get some work done. Parking is way too expensive and they should have a self park option. The location is great and you're right in Vail Village when you walk out the back door just past the lobby. My room faced what seem to be the back and there were early morning noisy deliveries and people. Wouldn't hurt to bring some earplugs. The whole time of my stay, the water in my room was cold and you had to run it for a long time to get it to warm up. I didn't eat at any of the restaurants (I called one to order something that was listed on their online menu, but that was out of date and they didn't have up that). Room service was very quick. I did get a knock at my door (presumably housekeeping) when I had the DND on and I was on a work call, so that was frustrating.

So, I stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights and I had 2 rooms. One night my son did not want to go out to eat so I ordered room service for him. Room service on top of the food price, they charge a delivery fee, a service charge see if 21 % and they expect and additional tip on top of that. To me it was / is an absurd to charge 21% service fee and delivery charge and still expect extra tip. Because I didn't added extra tip they called my room and spoke to my son a Minor , about how I didn't tip and that I had used " foul" words with the person that delivered the food.keep in mind that I did not speak to the delivery person, all I did was sign the Bill and she left the tray of food on top of the table. Number one : I am not obligated to tip on top of a service charge and delivery fee. Second: No one at this hotel has the right to call my room 3x and speak with a minor. Period. Each of my room cost me 2600 us for 4 days, which ain't cheap, I would expect a better service and I would expect an adult/worker not to speak with a minor.

3 nights 4 days and this was between our two rooms the entire time even after having asked housekeeping personally to remove it.

After stopping at several locations along the way, we finally arrived at The Ritz-Carlton Club, Vail, and from the moment you pull in, you immediately understand why this place is special. As soon as you arrive, the valet staff greets you right away. The Ritz truly offers full-service hospitality. You simply take any personal items you want with you and head inside to check in while they handle everything else. They unload all of your luggage, neatly place any loose items into a nice bag, park your vehicle, and once they see you've made it to your room, your luggage is delivered shortly after. Walking through the front doors, there is a table set up with hand lotion, several different SPF sunscreens, hand sanitizer, and baskets of washcloths for guests returning from outside activities -- a very thoughtful touch. Check-in was quick and effortless. The staff explained the amenities, where everything was located, and then off to our room we went. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit, and when we opened the door we were immediately impressed. The decor was beautiful and upscale without feeling overdone. The entryway included a half bath, followed by a dining area and small bar setup. The kitchen featured Bosch and Breville appliances, which added to the luxury feel. The living room had a sofa bed, comfortable seating, and a large tv over the fireplace that made the room feel very cozy and a balcony looking at the slops. Both bedrooms were nearly identical and absolutely stunning, each with: a huge king bed, a large bathroom, heated floors, a separate shower and Jacuzzi tub, and double sinks. One of the bedrooms also had a balcony. Every evening starting around 4 p.m., the resort hosts different socials including cookies, wine tastings, and later bourbon tastings. It really added to the overall experience and made the property feel even more welcoming and luxurious. There is honestly so much more I could say about this property, but overall we absolutely loved our stay. If you are looking for one of the best places to stay in Vail, this is it.

Well appointed room, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with all the little luxuries. It has a steam room, and outdoor pool and a very nice lounge for chilling apres ski. There is a shuttle to and from the Arabelle where you have a very short walk to the lift. There's also a tent there where you check your skis and poles so you don't have to schlep them back to the hotel. The shuttle takes all of 90 seconds. Wonderful friendly staff and valet parking - free for the first car. Highly recommended!

My recent stay at Tivoli Lodge in Vail was unacceptable and far below the standards one expects from a property of this reputation and location. We checked in after a winter storm and were assigned room 403 on the fourth floor. The room was freezing, with a heating unit that did not function properly. After contacting the front desk, maintenance briefly attended to the issue, but the problem was not resolved. During the first night, the heat became excessive and uncontrollable. With a new and inexperienced front desk attendant on duty, and the likelihood that no maintenance staff would be available, we were forced to open the balcony door in winter conditions simply to make the room tolerable. During that same night, water began dripping/leaking from the ceiling. The following day, after returning from breakfast, the room had again become excessively hot. The thermostat still did not function. Maintenance was sent once more and noted they repaired it, but within minutes, significant water dripping leakage developed not just a minor drip, but a steady and concerning flow from the ceiling and wall framing in both the entry and bathroom areas. Our carpets were drenched our sock wet At that point, we had no choice but to demand a room change and were moved to room 405, , which was a much larger and nicer room. While the heating system there functioned properly, it still presented issues, including a broken closet handle another clear sign of poor upkeep. What made the situation worse was how it was handled. Housekeeping staff pressured us by their immediate presence to vacate quickly so the room could be reset, despite the hotel being nearly empty. This was unnecessary and inconsiderate. Shortly thereafter, a staff member returned and knocked aggressively on our door over a forgotten item. The manner was inappropriate and unprofessional. Although there were moments of professionalism particularly a mature front desk associate with a Caribbean accent who was pleasant, friendly, and helpful I would also like to recognize her more fully. She stood out as someone who was genuinely trying her best to be kind, attentive, and helpful under difficult circumstances. Her demeanor, patience, and willingness to assist were appreciated and reflected the level of service the hotel should consistently strive to provide. Unfortunately, the overall experience still reflected a lack of coordination, training, and accountability. In contrast, a late evening desk clerk was unable to provide even basic assistance in locating open dining options, citing unfamiliarity with the area. I understand that between-season periods can present operational challenges. However, if the resort is open, it should be fully prepared to serve and satisfy the guests it chooses to accommodate especially when occupancy is so low. We did not create these problems the hotel did. Yet at no point did we receive a strong or meaningful apology, nor any gesture to help ameliorate the situation. Both are not only appropriate but expected under these circumstances. As a result of these ongoing issues, we made the decision to leave on Thursday instead of Friday, as we felt it was simply not worth extending our stay to the schedule day. This only compounded our disappointment it was a choice we made based on our experience. I would also strongly suggest that management exercise better judgment when the hotel is operating at very low occupancy. In such circumstances, guests should be proactively upgraded to the best available rooms rather than being assigned rooms with known or even obvious deficiencies. This experience reflects poorly on the management of Tivoli Lodge. A property that is largely empty has no excuse for assigning a defective room, failing to resolve repeated maintenance issues, and handling guest disruptions so poorly. Tivoli Lodge is a beautiful property with a great location, but this was a sad and disappointing experience. PD ...I would also like to note a truly positive experience during our stay at The Little Diner, a Vail institution well known for its accolades in both service and quality of food, delivered an outstanding breakfast experience. His professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness were exceptional and stood in sharp contrast to the challenges we encountered at the hotel. Jose Pienknagura 602-321-2004 Josepienknagura@gmail.com
